Abbiamo visto laurora boreale. È a mezz’ora da Studlagil canyon, ottimo posto per spezzare il viaggio verso il nord. Niente
• Kevin (8/5): Posto sicuro dopo la tormenta - L'atmosfera estremamente accogliente e confortevole. Lo staff è stato gentilissimo e sempre disponibile per ogni nostra esigenza, la mattina della partenza ci hanno anche gentilmente offerto un caffè, cosa molto gradita e apprezzata per chi conosce l’islanda. Luogo sicuro che ci ha accolti dopo una tormenta di neve veramente tosta. La chicca è il rifornimento Orkan proprio accanto, utile per delle soste strategiche. L’ala dell’ostello dove siamo stati accolti era molto datata e bagni e docce lasciavano a desiderare, nulla a cui pero non ci si può adattare.

• Graziano (7/5): buona sistemazione vicino al canyon di Studlagil - buona posizione vicino al canyon di Studlagil, staff accogliente e disponibile ad accontentare le esigenze degli ospiti. buoni spazi comuni anche se un pò da rinnovare per rendere più comodo e accogliente. non funzionava il riscaldamento all'interno della camera e fuori la temperatura notturna cominciava ad essere molto fredda, ma lo staff ci ha subito aiutato cambiando stanza.

La ragazza che ci ha accolto è stata davvero gentile fornendoci anche utili informazioni per un eventuale avvistamento dell’aurora boreale. La posizione della struttura non è davvero comoda e l’arredamento sarebbe da rinnovare un po’. Ma per il resto tutto preciso

• Anna (1/5): - Pobyt rodem z horroru. Radzę omijać szerokim łukiem. Na wejściu do recepcji uderza gryzący w nos smród starego oleju z frytury. W pokoju unosi się zapach stęchlizny, bucząca lampa jak z warsztatu samochodowego. Na cały parter hostelu jedna toaleta, w której BRAK PAPIERU TOALETOWEGO, a za to spacerujące pająki. Pod prysznicami pleśń, to samo w kuchni. Okropne miejsce. Jest to jedyne miejsce, które będę tak źle wspominać z całej mojej 11-dniowej podróży po Islandii. Cena do jakości to zwykłe oszustwo. W niższej cenie są dostępne dużo lepsze miejsca do noclegu na Islandii, nawet ze śniadaniem. Właściciele wstydźcie się.

• Marco (1/5): Overpriced, dirty, and noisy—the worst stay I’ve had in Iceland. - Honestly, not much. The only advantage is its location near Studlagil Canyon, but that’s about The showers were disgusting and clearly not maintained. The rooms were extremely noisy—you could hear every movement and conversation from other guests, making it nearly impossible to rest. The property takes advantage of the lack of alternatives in the area during high season to charge outrageous prices for very poor quality. I felt ripped off, and it was by far the worst place I stayed in my two trips to Iceland.

Beds are comfortable and room is warm enough. Shared bathroom and WC are in the same room and accessible by both genders.

No hay ningún tipo de insonorización. Se escuchaba cualquier persona y puerta en el pasillo. Mi habitación estaba al lado del baño y se escuchaba absolutamente todo, incluso un silbido cada vez que alguien utilizaba el agua. En las camas prácticamente se podía saltar de l mucho que se hundían y rechinaban. Un precio ridiculo para lo ofrecido.

• Primeaux (10/5): A gorgeous one-night stay on a stop of our long road trip! - Absolutely gorgeous views! Very simple layout for a one night rest on the way of our journey. Bathrooms were small in number and downstairs, but we understood the layout wasn't made to be glamorous! The staircase is also very narrow so we had to bring up backpacks instead of suitcases.

• Ajai (9/5): Superb - Right off the highway, it was a very convenient overnight stop at we drove from Egillsstadir to the northern parts of Iceland. The time were very comfortable. Nothing else for miles around. The cafeteria in the hostel has limited choices, but good food. The complimentary tea/coffee was a nice touch. The shared kitchen did not even basic supplies (salt, peper, sugar...). It was just the utensils. Soap/body wash in the showers also not provided - as is usually the practice in other hostels.

• Evangelia (1/5): Bad - Bad smell at the room. The heater was not working. Showers and bathrooms were old and not very clean. In addition during the night the alarm was ringing and this was scary, hopefully this was a false alarm. The only positive is the convenient location of the hostel.

• Austin (7/5): Great for location and food, must visit Studlagil canyon while you’re here. - Had dinner there and it was fantastic as well as the staff being friendly and helpful. Walls were not very sound proof and could hear people all night long.

• Pia (8/5): Simple accommodation close to the canyon - We stayed one night at the hotel and everything was fine. The furniture is very simple and also the rooms are of a normal standard. The bathroom was very huge. The location is quite good as it is close to the canyon. There was no personal contact with the staff. A key was lying at the entrance. We did not know how the breakfast and checkout worked.
