Guest Reviews
- Tristan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yan (9/5): Superb - Staff was super friendly and welcoming . We were unlucky with the weather because the location of the hotel gives on to the valley and all accomodation are faced towards the valley with full windows walls and doors. I will definetly go back on my next trip to the east coast . Its located pretty much halfway and i really want to see the view ! Anyhow its not a 10 just because its not a 10 but its definetly a place to discover and a great stop when crossing from sanjose ! I forgot to mention hot showers !!! Nothing
- Deysha (1/5): Thin walls - The view was ok
The guy in charge was super helpful and nice. Everything else. Its an old and unkept hotel. Walls are super thin. I could hear the conversations in the next room clear as day, as if they were next to me. Wooden floor are beyond crickey. Every step is loud and scary. The pictures on booking are nowhere near the real deal. The pictures were the reason I booked here.
Beds are not comfortable either.
- Ivonne (8/5): Very good -
- Katja (8/5): Very good - Very nice wooden building with 'mountain lodge' flair. Spacious room with 2 double beds (four poster beds with moscito curtains). Lovely flower decoration in the room and bathroom. Nice bathroom with open window (no glass). Strong hot shower and nice towels. Cook on vacation, hotel outside town, so it's hard to get by without a car. On the last day, cook back, but we would have had to make a reservation for breakfast, so we left hungry, again.
Not alwys Uber in the area. Staff partly great and helpful, partly without a clue.
- Edith (4/5): Disappointing - It was quiet. Able to spot some wildlife in the surrounding trees. The restaurant was closed so no breakfast was available. No restaurants in walking distance. It was a very dark room. I left to visit a friend in the evening and was locked out of the parking area when I returned about 10 pm.
- Ali (10/5): great location, beautiful views, good breakfast, super nice hosts - location and settings
- Jenny (7/5): A quick and easy stopover to Limon. Lovely owners. - Wonderful owners, kind reception. Interesting rustic hotel built by the owner. lots of wood, our room was large, wonderful views, nice little restaurant ( even though we arrived late the owners wife rustled up an amazing chicken and rice dish ). We really enjoyed chatting with them after dinner. The hot water thermostat was unusual! very very hot water!
- Laima (5/5): Staff is pleasant but the place is really run-down. - The staff tries to please but lack of any staff with good English to figure out when checking out -how they want to be paid and how much to pay, and the hotel being run down with electric outlets, fridge not working, etc was disappointing. You need to pay in cash (we didn't know that ahead of time and it was a problem). The place is very difficult to find. There's a pretty view once you get there.
