- Linda (10/5): Amazing hosts - Jo & Martin were exceptional hosts, such a lovely warm welcome. Nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was delicious Martin is an excellent chef. Fresh fruit bowls were a nice added extra, and yogurts were good too. Jo is great full of fun and laughter ,they really do make a great team. They should be very proud of what they have achieved. Linda. Nothing I didn’t like, as everything was excellent.

The room was beautifully appointed, with many thoughtful personal touches. Jo and Martin go out of their way to ensure all guests feel welcome and Martin's breakfasts are fantastic. I had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Nothing to dislike.

The room was beautifully decorated everything we needed was in the room. loads of storage space the hosts were wonderful and very welcoming. Had loads of information for places togo and places to eat. Would definitely recommend and would definitely book again. The room was a little warm especially after a hot day out. How ever there was a fan in the room where was very welcoming after being out in the sun all day.

The customer service is second to none with lots of information before and during our stay. Our room was immaculate, very comfortable with plenty of tea/coffee etc. The breakfast room is very pretty, welcoming and immaculate. The breakfasts are simply amazing, beautifully cooked, piping hot and wonderfully presented. We are not usually guest house people but we absolutely will return to this one! It has been an absolute pleasure and Jo and Martin are superb hosts who should be massively proud of their wonderful business ❤️🫶❤️ Thanks so very much Absolutely nothing to dislike

- Stephen (10/5): The place to stay in Paignton for a friendly, excellent family-run guesthouse. - Jo and Martin hosted us for a lovely quick break. They were warm and welcoming and always friendly and chatty. The house was super close to the beach and local amenities and it was easy to get to key areas. Some other sights only required 10-15 minutes by car so all very convenient. Rooms were just right and very comfortable. Breakfast was always a treat and disappeared off the plates quickly. We even had reserved parking in a local car park! All round fantastic. We were sorry to leave. Thanks so much!

Gutes Frühstück, nicht nur Englisch, sondern auch Joghurt, Obst, Müsli etc. Perfekt für Familien mit Kindern! Das Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr klein. Kein Kleiderschrank. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank wäre gut gewesen. Etwas sehr viel Deko überall.

Received brochures of the local area and information about days out beforehand which I thought was a wonderful touch. Jo & Martin agreed to let us leave our luggage a little before check in as our train schedules had changed due to cancellations, so kind and accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated, we stayed in the family room with friends, we each had a section for privacy which was nice. Very comfortable stay. Breakfast was absolutely stunning and cooked to perfection. Could not have wished for a better place to stay to explore the local area and all it had to offer. We had a wonderful trip to Paignton and would return and recommend in a heartbeat.

- Jana (8/5): Für einen Strandaufenthalt absolut zu empfehlen - Strandnähe, schöne Zimmer, viel Platz. Gutes Frühstück (separat in bar zu zahlen). Parkplatz kann man vorab reservieren (in bar zu zahlen). Jo und Martin sind tolle Gastgeber. Essen gehen am Hafen - teuer, aber sehr leckeres Essen und sehr schön. Es gibt in Paignton leider keinen Parkplatz für SUV mit Jetbag (zu hoch). Die Maximalhöhe aller Parkplätze beträgt 2m. Wir mussten unseren Jetbag abbauen, durften ihn aber im Abstellraum bei Jo und Martin zwischenlagern. Paignton selbst hat uns nicht überzeugt, den Strand fanden wir nicht schön und den Rummel am Strand auch nicht.

It is run like a well-oiled machine by two very professional, personable, and compatible individuals who made myself most welcome. The premises were tastefully and thoughtfully presented with a homely, calming atmosphere. Little touches such as a box of tissues in the rooms (which isn't always customary) and the personalised 'welcoming card' added to the overall atmosphere. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. As a sole traveller who normally does one's own booking, packing, loading, unloading driving etc it would have been an appreciated gesture if one's baggage had been carried to one's room.

The room and on-suite was spotlessly clean, the breakfast menu had plenty of options to choose from and everything was cooked fresh to order daily. Each morning at breakfast we were greeted by Jo with a smile and she was able to recommend place of interest in the area. I will definitely recommend this guest house to anyone that wants to stay in Paignton it’s conveniently located near the car park, beach and town.

The room was very clean, tea and coffee facilities in the room, as well as other essentials. We were in an attic room which was described as a family room, although wasn’t suitable for a family. and with the heatwave this weekend was far too hot for my baby, so decided to cut the break short and came home a day early .

The little touches in our family room and around the B&B to make you feel looked after are so thoughtful, from the kids books/games, extra toiletries supply, blackout blind in our kids’ room, load of in-room storage - it all goes towards making your stay incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly cooked/presented and good quality, good selection of hot and cold options. Location is ideal with the beach at the end of the road. Couldn’t have asked for more, thank you.

Owners are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are equipped with more than you would expect and immaculate. Highly recommend this amazing guest house. Very quiet place. Better than any large expensive hotel. Everything was amazing if I had any thing to recommend it would be a bottle of water in the room for when you get in after a night out.

- Carolin (9/5): We had a lovely stay and felt very much welcome and at home! - Very kind and helpful hosts, great breakfast cooked fresh, ideal location only minutes from the beach, restaurants, shops, a park, playgrounds and even the train station. The family room is a tight fit, as is the en-suite bathroom. Everything else was great.
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely comfortable Guest House. Jo and Martin made us feel very welcome and we're so good with my granddaughter she wanted to stay longer. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable with special little touches. Breakfast was delicious. Cherwood is a short walk from the train station and a few minutes from the seafront. I would highly recommend it.

Breakfast was great and Jo did make extra stuff for my daughters! Location is great as it closer to beach and train station bathroom is bit too compact for people on heavier side, but this was known in the pictures

The rooms were stylishly presented with every detail thought about. They were also perfectly clean. It was great value for money :)

What more could we have wished for. Mum would probably say being on the 2nd floor as she struggled going up the stairs, but that's a personal issue!
