- Ben (10/5): Breath taking waking up to the stunning Veiw’s every morning - We had an amazing stay at Ubud Riverside Villa. The location was perfect and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The facilities were more than ample, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax. A special shout‑out to Gebe — he went above and beyond in helping us plan activities and days out. Truly exceptional service. Highly recommend The listing states a Hot tub but doesn’t have one , outside was a little dated and lack of chairs (loungers)
- Radha (10/5): Nice location and comfortable - Nice location Everything was nice

- Lauren (7/5): - The view of the forest is amazing, the ladies that showed us through when we arrived were lovely. And they let us check in a hour early as I didn't realise it was a 4pm in check and we showed up at 3pm. The upstairs bedroom was amazing and huge, the bathroom very spacious. The kitchen was huge, and clean. We had no hot water for our stay, messaged the host and he wrote back "thanks for the info" and then did nothing. At nearly $500 a night, I would expect better service. We wanted to use the huge bathtub but aside from no hot water, the tap to fill it up didn't reach all the way, the water hit the side of the top of the tub and half the water went into the tub and the other half all over the floor.
The pool area downstairs could use a little TLC, some of the pool stools were broken and the freezer in the little outside kitchen was completely full of mould and muck. The downstairs pool bathroom was atrocious. There are ALOT of stairs, so if you have any mobility issues - probably not the place for you.
While the two rooms on the upper levels are huge and spacious the two poolside rooms, were tiny and pokey.
There's not really any communal space for a group of people to all sit together.

- Mandy (9/5): The property is located in a beautiful area of Ubud with sensational views. Great hosts - We did not have breakfast provided Breakfast should be included as there is nothing close by and it is expensive to stay here. Should provide coffee as well.
- Wendy (8/5): Didn’t stay long as it wasn’t suitable for some of our group. - Beautiful location Lots of stairs, further away from town. Not much communal space
- Vladyslav (10/5): - A wonderful villa at a wonderful price. The accommodation has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The hosts are very helpful and pleasant. The view of the river and rice terraces is 100/10.
- KC (3/5): Not value for your money - There were 3 floors so the kids could be in their own area. There was drinking water. The cleaning staff were lovely and helpful. The place was not cleaned from the previous booking.. it doesn't have direct road access to the villa. The dogs keep barking and not let you get to your resort. There were all sorts of bugs entering through the gaps in the door. The balcony doors could not be opened and we couldnt enjoy the outdoor space.
No living area for such a big place. The towels were smelly though washed. The whole roof leaked and got our things wet. The guy there didn't do anything or respond to my.messages when that happened.
The address doesn't come up on Grab and we had to go down to the nearest landmark about 100ish metres away to collect our orders.

- Sahil (6/5): Great views modern facilities, poor staff communication, maintenance issues with property and poor location. - Outside view from pool to the rice fields and river was great! Water filter system and space in kitchen and rooms were great. Ceiling and lights were great. Enough kitchen equipment. YouTube on tvs was good. There were kids helping as staff, which didn’t feel very professional. Our luggage wasn’t brought in — we had to ask and carry most of it ourselves. The pool was cloudy, and it looked like they had just added chemicals before we arrived. It became cloudy again the next day, and they added more chemicals to fix it. There was also a lack of privacy since the pool guy came to check the pool daily, sometimes even twice a day.
The roof of the top room leaked during the rain, and we had to move to another room, squeezing into a smaller space. The leak had stained one of the queen beds, which couldn’t be used. The indoor bins were too small.
We brought our own mosquito repellent, but the staff assumed it belonged to them and asked us to leave it behind, even after my dad showed the receipt to prove he had purchased it himself. The repellent provided in our room was empty anyway.
They mentioned the pool was 160 cm deep, but it was actually around 180 cm. No floaties or life-saving equipment were provided, and the bean bags were quite old.
No instructions on use of kitchen equipment. Mid floor door needed lubricant. Entry door lock was not in best condition and needed an extra push to lock. Bins were too small.
A black dog will always growl at you every time you try to get to the property. Almost made me worried about getting bitten.

- Oliver (10/5): Luxury relaxing place - Amazing location, spacious villa, great pool, friendly and helpful staff, 4 bedrooms, uoper floor has additional bed upper floor roof leaking a bit in heavy rain, rest all good
- Sanem (9/5): -
- Robyn (4/5): Beyond disappointing for the amount of money paid. - Location and the pool Ants in bed, so had to relocate children to pull down bed in shared room. Leaking roof on stairwell. Was a huge slip hazard, also leaked on beds. Broken umbrellas, could not use them when it was raining. I slipped over in the downstairs outside are due to the slime on the timber
Upstairs bedroom towels and bath mat not replaced after we had to mop up all the leaks.
Couldn’t open the upstairs bifold doors in the kitchen area for fresh air….completely stuck.
I have lodged a complaint with booking. Com for some kind of compensation.
- Camelia (9/5): Superb -
- Sobolev (6/5): Pleasant - Nice view on river and rice terrace. Good location, we found many tasty restaurant's in this area. Quite, far from noisy street's. Smell, especially in bedrooms on first floor. I think that problem in humidity in the air. It's impossible to sleep in bedrooms with this smell, we couldn't.
- Kiernan (9/5): An unforgettable expeirence! - The property was absolutely beautiful - the views are like nothing I’ve seen before, like previous reviews have said the view makes you feel like you really are the only people in Bali. The beds were comfy, and the master bedroom on the top floor is nothing short of breathtaking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need, (if you’re looking to cook), and the fridge was stocked with drinks upon arrival which was a nice touch.
Perhaps even more amazing than the Villa we’re the staff - the communication between us and Gede was second to none and the housekeeping team were warm, welcoming and genuinely lovely. It was one of the group’s birthday - hence the trip to Bali - and Gede organised for a cake, free of charge, to be waiting for us upon arrival. I can’t thank Gede and his team enough for providing us with a little slice of paradise! The only, (and I’m nitpicking here), thing would be that some of the members of the group found their beds to be a little on the firm side. The bi-fold doors leading onto the balcony from the kitchen could do with some oil too as they’re a little squeaky.
- Aida (8/5): Very good -
- Abby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xin (3/5): Have stayed in better places - The staff were very helpful and friendly but it can’t cover the weakness of the property itself. The property was not clean. There were lots of ants and insects, climbing over our bed and food left outside. Water quality was really bad, a brand new filter shower head gone black on first night of stay. Pool is dirty, didn’t dear going in. The plates and glasses were not very clean. Property was not very easy to get to since we had lots of luggage to carry (staff were really helpful to carry them though), and car can’t drive in that close. Property were quite wet, bed sheets feels not very dry. But maybe all Ubud Vila are similar.
- Corey (10/5): Amazing - The villa is awesome! Gede and his team couldn’t have been any better. They were onto everything. So helpful. Villa is in a great spot but I recommended grabbing some bikes to get around. Would definitely stay here again! Nothing!
- Stefan (10/5): Definitely coming back again, better than the pictures - Clean, modern, quiet and highly quality A little bit far from the town, but with Grab it’s easy to get around
- Pascale (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing. The viiew was sensational. The whole place was pure heaven. Everything.
- Rebecca (8/5): Stunning view but could use a soul. - The location was at first a little difficult to find but once you knew where you were going. The view from the pool makes you feel like the only person in Bali. The modern TV's were awesome to be able to connect Netflix. The beds were comfy and staff were kind and helpful. At night we opened the doors and watched the fireflies. The WiFi worked well and the aircons were fantastic. The kitchen is great. However, we had to google how to operate the appliances. The kitchen stove is induction, and only a few of the pots worked. We made omelettes in a pot. There were no supplies for the dishwasher, and we were told it didn't work. The microwave/convection oven was a bit of button mashing until it came on and we couldn't figure out the oven at all. The sheets on my bed had a large tear but they were clean. Minimal towels were supplied, only 2 pool towels for 8 guests and no hand towels. The downstairs area beside the pool has a lot of rotten boards so we couldn't use the area the way we hoped. It lacked cosy things that make an airbnb great like board games or books. The kitchen has so much storage but it is mostly empty. 1 old sponge on the kitchen sink and 1 small kitchen towel. I would stay again just for the view.
- Sreynot (10/5): Best place to stay if you come to ubud - View and everything including staff Some material was old like washing place
- Laima (10/5): Sunning! - A truly outstanding place in every way! Riverside Villa Ubud offers breathtaking views from its three terraces—so stunning they’ll leave you speechless. The villa is designed with elegance and attention to detail, creating a space that is both luxurious and welcoming.
With plenty of separate areas, it provides privacy and comfort, making it perfect for relaxation or spending time with loved ones. The peaceful neighborhood adds to the charm, with friendly locals and a serene atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
If you’re looking for a dream stay in Ubud, this villa is an absolute must. Highly recomended! It is very hot in the master bedroom upstairs during the day. It is getting better in the afternoon. Any ways most of the travellers are out to explore during the day. So not a big problem.
- Weronika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvette (10/5): We all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. Kids didn’t want to leave. - Absolute oasis.. opening the doors to pure luxury (& space) Wow, photos don’t do it justice . Thank you Gede and team Nothing
- Katherine (10/5): Beautiful peaceful villa. Fantastic for a large group. Great location. - We stayed here as a family of 7 adults and it was beautiful. Gede the Manager met us when we arrived and departed and was so helpful. If we had any troubles or questions he was always available and helpful with a solution. The villa is beautiful and overlooks the gorgeous countryside and river. There are heaps of great restaurants within a 5 minute walk, yet the villa feels quiet and peaceful. The centre of Ubud is approx a 20 minute walk away via a path that runs alongside the Monkey Forest and it was often quicker to walk than take a grab. Pepitos grocery story (with everything you need) is a short Grab ride or 20 min walk. Nothing
- Jane (10/5): A very relaxing place to stay, the private pool overlooking fields was dreamy. Location was perfect, close to restaurant - The pool was so refreshing and the main bedroom was very indulgent.
- Helena (10/5): Such beautiful property with a nice finish out. The host Mr Gede is very nice. - Location, view, architecture Cleaning could use improvement
- Yvonne (9/5): The villa was gorgeous - represented accurately in the photos. -
- Dzianis (10/5): This is the best villa we have been to in Bali. - Amazing villa for big family. We vacationed with children 4 and 6 years old. I celebrated my birthday here. I was greeted here with a large cake and cold coconuts. And of course, the most important thing is the view from the windows of the rice terraces, the raging river and the sounds of birds.
- Ainsley (7/5): Good - the location of property was great and spaces. Gede who manages property was always very helpful & nothing too much problem. the layout of villa's were great for our family of 9 people. The view from the pool & balconies are amazing. with squirrels & monkeys seen each morning in the trees. very quiet area also. the main bedroom upstairs unfortunately got very hot at times even though air conditioning there are some places within the room where cool air escapes.
causing it to heat up. Also website said washing machine available however when I asked i was told no laundry available. also kitchen very limited on appliances. induction stove top but no induction pan cookware made cooking difficult as only one wok worked made cooking eggs difficult. no toaster only oven. these simple things would make it perfect.
- Graham (6/5): Great villa for small group - Pool overlooking the river.
Asked what time suited us for housekeeping.
Villa very suitable for a group of 4. No basic things, such as coffee, tea, tea towels. 3 stories of very steep stairs. Stairs treads move.
- Idris (8/5): Very good -
- Sarakikaras (9/5): Superb - Our stay at this beautiful villa in Nyuh Kuning was truly idyllic. The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking views of the rice terraces and easy access to the river. The villa itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and stylish space to relax.
Gede and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a tranquil and memorable getaway. Although the location seems very safe we didn't like that the downstairs door to the house was impossible to lock. Additionally, the door to one of the downstairs rooms was also difficult to secure.
The kitchen was poorly equipped, and the absence of hand towels was inconvenient.
Once these issues are fixed this place will be an absolute gem!
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible property! Highly recommend, photos do not do it justice. The views are amazing. Lovely and quiet considering how busy Ubud is.
Gede sorted us out with taxis even after we left the stay, he was a massive help.
Also Gede was able to sort us out with a private chef and the property that cooked up an incredible steak and chicken dish
Would recommend this property
- Laurachira (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location and the view from the rooms. The Villa was equiped with everything that we needed. They helped us with all the information we needed, with a tour of local waterfalls, temples, coffee tasting etc. We will definitely go back again.
- Rosette (10/5): Great for groups and enjoying poolside drinks. - Great outdoor area! Private, calm and sounds of nature. A lot of bugs but you expect that in a rural, rice field, forest area!
- Katrina (9/5): Lovely villa, lovely views and very obliging just! - The pool, kitchen and rooms were fantastic! The villa was well located and within easy walking distance to cafes. The stairs would be a problem for children or those with mobility issues. It was very clean, had wonderful views of the rice terraces, and Gede our host was wonderful; he was very obliging and was able to organise and advise all sorts of activities. There was no central lounge area apart from the pool area, and the 3 levels with lots of stairs could potentially be a problem with young children or people with mobility issues.
- Kelly (7/5): Overall it was stunning. - Staff helped with our bags to from the villa. The property was on an amazing hillside looking over a running creek and rice feels No hand towels, lacking enough towels, part of the deck was rotting, no gas.
- Emily (10/5): We loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again! - It is a beautiful villa with an amazing view. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was awesome too. It does not have a drive way for cars so it was a tiny bit hard to find but the staff made that issue not an issue at all and once we figured out surroundings, it was easy to manage.
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional - The amazing view, lovely pool and forest outlook quiet and nice, can walk to cafes and spas also through the monkey forest to.main big shopping area in Ubud The top room was quite warm took.long time to cool down the lighting is poor and switches all over the place.
The so called complimentary drinks in the fridge are not free you pay $USD and pricey.
Also no laundry facilities
- Aaron (1/5): Bad - We were hoping for a lovely stay at this villa. However 3 of the 4 nights were disrupted by rats in the ceiling cavity (which open onto one of the main bedrooms). After much discussion with the manager, no compensation was given.
On the first night we had to leave the room at 2am and move upstairs due to the rat and on the last two nights we all slept upstairs in the main and only rat free bedroom.
This house could be great but at the price needs a proper clean out as the pool also has little or no chlorine and is green with algae.
Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you value sleep.
- Dave (10/5): Lovely experience - Great views
Quirky decor Nothing
- Ryan (9/5): Amazing villa with stunning views - This villa was amazing! The view of the river and jungle is breathtaking.
Rooms were better and more luxurious than they looked on the pictures and the facilities were awesome.
The host made our stay extremely comfortable as well and was on hand to meet our needs. Some of the patio doors in the rooms could not be closed properly or were not properly sealed between the walls and floor so insects easily got in and out of the rooms which was quite annoying. If they make sure the doors to the outside are fixed properly it would be perfect!
- Lorena (10/5): I highly recommend this villa to anyone wishing to have a unique experience, surrounded by the nature and culture of Ubu - We had the pleasure of staying at this spectacular villa, an oasis of peace nestled in the mystical greenery of Ubud’s rice fields.
The location is simply beautiful and highly recommended for those seeking a place of well-being and relaxation.
Mr. Gede, the manager, was extremely kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
The villa offers a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for disconnecting from the daily hustle and bustle and recharging one’s energies.
The infinity pool is the beating heart of the property, with an adjacent bar that allows you to sip a good aperitif while enjoying the breathtaking view of the rice fields.
The crystal-clear water and the surrounding silence create an almost surreal atmosphere.
I highly recommend this villa to anyone wishing to have a unique experience, surrounded by the nature and culture of Ubud.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for an escape from reality! 🩷💜😊😊
- Ankit (10/5): Perfect. - Nice location, helpful staff. Beautiful location.
- S (9/5): I would recommend this beautiful villa - The villa is beautiful and the view of the rice terraces and river is absolutely stunning. Gede was friendly and responded promptly to texts. The property was great, I would just want those with young kids to know that the villa has 3 levels: 1 bedroom on the main floor, 1 is upstairs, and the remaining 2 are downstairs, and that the pretty staircases are a little steep. Also to be aware that there isn’t a fence/divider between the gorgeous pool and the 2 downstairs rooms.
- Alexander (8/5): Peaceful. good location. big house for group of friend/family stay. - Very nice house villa and great location! Nice Staff too, met us at a late check In and allowed us a late checkout as no one was coming that day. nice restaurants nearby and good location beside river and behind monkey forest next to town. Help me get scooter to our door (use the monkey temple shortcut to skip traffic 🌞) We thought it might have a check in area, and was part of a group of villas. but it was more than a Airbnb style house. We booked in a rush so we missed that so one one’s fault but just thought I would leave this note.
- Fiona (10/5): The view and rooms were amazing definitely a highlight of our trip - The property was amazing, the rooms were beautifully designed and furnished and the pool had an amazing view of rice fields. Was hard to find as there was no sign for the Villa
- Corey (10/5): Exceptional place to stay with a great host - Amazing 3 story house/Villa tucked away deep in the back streets of Ubud very quiet area and secure, short walk to everything you need, with the monkey forest being the main attraction nearby.
The house is modern with exceptional facilities and well appointed rooms a/c and fans etc., fantastic connectivity/wifi and the view is absolutley amazing, you never get sick of it. 4 bedrooms total, big kitchen and downstairs kitchen by the infinity pool overlooking the view, Can also walk down to the river and explore below if you are feeling adventurous.
It is suitable for a party of people or a family.
If you have a bit of money to spend, it is worth every cent for a peaceful, serene and relaxing stay in Ubud.
Gede the host is a legend, attentive and quick to every need you may have and full of great suggestions and fair prices on activities. Overall a phenomal stay and i hope to come back with my partner one day, i would have stayed longer if i could, it was very hard to check out and leave - Corey Not a dislike but more of a suggestion, some mosquito coils provided for guests to utilize around the property would be handy, especially in the grand upstairs bedroom.
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Patel (10/5): Excellent location and facilities would highly recommend and would stay there again. - Serene Location close to the centre of Ubud
- Susan (9/5): Would totally recommend staying at this property, Gede was welcoming and available when we needed, offered local experti - Stunning views, Balinese styling in master bedroom, infinity pool with swim up bar and views to die for, seperate bathrooms for all. Closeness to shops and restaurants. Seclusion and privacy. No block out blinds, only sheets, which meant once the sun was up, so were we. But not such a bad thing as who wants to sleep all day and miss the beauty of Ubud!
- Tin (8/5): This is a nice spacious accomodation for a group tp stay - It has a really nice view and spacious rooms that is more than enough for a group of six people. There is house keeping service everyday and they have kept the house clean everyday during our stay. A little problem when we come back at night, the neighbour’s dogs will constantly bark at you. It scared us at first, luckily our neighbour came home to help us. I would advice people staying here to stay calm and contact the staff when needed as they respond quite quickly.
I do hope they can provide trash bags for trash bins. There are trash bins in many corners of the house, but there are no trash bags available for us to change and pack the trash ourselves.
- Benjamin (8/5): View in the morning made all worth while - The locating was beautiful, staff was very kind and helpful.
Very nice Villa. The master bedroom was amazingly beautiful, but even with the two ac units running it was still too hot in the afternoons to enjoy.
- Juškėvičiūtė (10/5): Exceptional - its Amazing Vila i love it Vila
- Steve (10/5): Excellent stay in gorgeous villa with breathtaking views. - The host was so responsive prior to our arrival. The caretakers were also superb and everything was just taken care of so well. The villa itself is stunning, just like the pictures show. And the view is truly breathtaking. I can highly recommend this villa for location, cleanliness but also so very, very nice team of owners and caretakers.
