Fully equipped kitchenware, Loved the washer and dryer. and walkable to most of restaurants. We will definitely stay again Continental breakfast without eggs or any meat protein. A pot of coffee was below average, no specialty coffee machine such as espresso machine.

The concierge service and staff helped plan My wife’s birthday for us and 4 other couples. Their suggestions were spot on and they made sure we got all the reservations we requested. They were responsive and knowledgeable. The hotel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING but felt as if you were in your own private boutique condo. We recommend The Pinch to anyone wanting to visit the Charleston area and we can’t wait to go back!

- Brent (9/5): A very pleasant hotel. We will stay here again. - This hotel is a well-designed historical building renovation. It places useful amenities (kitchen, clothes washer and dryer, multiple light dimmers) into a traditional setting with style and comfort. The kitchen has a gourmet coffee machine for those who want to conjure up their own brew and a quality bread/roll toaster. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. In the refrigerator are two large bottles of filtered water that are replenished daily. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. No food plan was specified, but a do-it-yourself continental breakfast was available in the lobby each morning. The in-building restaurant/bar serves excellent meals using fresh local foods. A bus stop is minutes away for the free DASH shuttle service that runs through the major Charleston historic areas. It's possible to walk down to the harbor area in about a half hour. Rooms that face the street can be noisy. I was told this is because Charleston will not allow dual-pane windows to be retrofitted into the historic building. Earplugs and a white noise machine are provided. The walk-in shower has the same smooth tile floor as the bathroom. The shower floor can be slippery when wet, especially with soapy water. There is no safety grab bar in the shower.

Our room was incredible - bright, luxurious and spacious. You could really tell the level of attention to detail that went into this place. It was like being inside a magazine cover. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and even accommodated an early check-in for us when our flight arrived early. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch! The lighting in the bathroom wasn't the best for makeup (the magnifying lighted mirror was very dim or broken at the time). The grab & go breakfast options in the lobby were limited, but with so many amazing restaurants nearby that was not a deal breaker for us.

There was an issue with a smoke smell in our room that appeared to be coming from the fireplace in the courtyard. Others complained about it. The fire was put out and it seemed to dissipate.

Almost an apart-hotel as you have a kitchen and laundry facilities making it perfect for a stop off as part of a bigger trip. It’s a great central location in Charleston, just tucked away enough to be quiet. They provided lots of lovely touches, there’s a great grab and go breakfast station, a welcome cocktail, and the staff sent chocolates when I mentioned we were on our honeymoon. There is also a lovely turndown service every night and very attentive housekeeping generally - it is spotlessly clean. Nothing really - there’s a lovely courtyard but nowhere in the lobby or elsewhere to linger. Would be great if there was an inside area to sit and wait for taxis etc. that wasn’t right by the check in desk. That is hugely nitpicking a wonderful hotel.

They have thought of everything and it truly feels like a home away from home space in the heart of Charleston. Right in the heart of the city and surrounded by lots of restaurants, it was perfect access to everything we needed. Can’t wait to stay again!

The staff was friendly and the spa treatment was amazing. We didn’t like how loud the property was. Our room was right in the corner of King St and it was very loud outside all night, you could hear everything.

We booked a king and were upgraded to a one bedroom deluxe that was the size of an apartment. They texted with me in advance of my stay to communicate a road closure on the day of my arrival. They send a link for valet and my car was ready and waiting 1 minute after I indicated I needed it on the app. The room was so well appointed and being able to do laundry in room was a plus. The bar across the courtyard was outstanding. Nothing, we loved everything!

- Laleki (8/5): I would stay here again even tho it was not 100% perfect - The staff is super nice and the Hotel is beautiful and located perfectly to explore Charleston. The room was super big and cozy, with a nice kitchen area that offered everything you needed and more. We even had a washer/dryer that we could use. Rooms are modern and with a lot of amenities (really good quality for Shampoo/conditioner etc), and even Sonos Speakers go connect to. What I really loved about the room is that you can open the windows (which rarely is possible in the US) and let the morning breeze in to wake up too. The style of the Hotel was really modern but with a nice southern flair and it felt like home. It said on booking.com that the Hotel had a Gym, which is not true. We are big Gym goers even on holidays so we always only book Hotel have gym. Fair to say we where disappointed when we got there, that there is no Gym in the Hotel itself, they work with the MUSC Gym together where you can go free of charge, with is totally fine since it offers everything you need, BUT the Gym is 10 min away by Car (30 min by foot), this took up a lot more time for us and planing to go to the Gym everyday. Also for a 4 Star Hotel, they did not over Breakfast, which I cannot understand since they do have 2 restaurant that belong to the Hotel. There is a little corner where you can have coffee (but really bad American filter coffee) and fruits and some pastries for free, but not even close to replacing a healthy and good breakfast in my option.

- Bronna (8/5): Good location near historic Charleston, shops, and restaurants. - Good location on the edge of the historic section of town meaning the sidewalks were less crowded and less people hawking tours etc. The staff were pleasant, helpful, well traines and professional. For those who want to prepare meals the room came with a fully equipped kitchen including: stove, refrigerator freezer, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, glasses, utensils, coffee maker, coffee grinder. The bathroom and bedroom linens were good quality and the bathroom was spacious with deep drawers for use by guests and included a very quiet washer, dryer and detergent pods. The living room kitchen space provided plenty of room to relax as well as outlets to charge electronics. Valet parking was $47 a day at a public lot across from the hotel. It would have been nice if we were told that self-parking was available at a substantial savings ($18.00/day). The bed frame extended beyond the mattress so we kept stubbing our toes. Our room faced King Street which is busy most of the day and well into the evening hours. Happily the bedroom location muffled much of the noise. The refrigerator was stocked with a wide range of beverages and there many assorted snacks on the counter. There should have been a placard to indicate chargeable items and as well those that were gratis. Given the luxury aspect of the hotel a more generous box of tissues should be provided. This seems like a minor item but given the room rate we were surprised.
