• john (6/5): - Very close to the beach None of the windows in the living room or bedroom opened, it was a warm day and there was no air in the apartment. We went shopping for our stay and bought frozen food, but found there was no freezer compartment in the fridge.
• Shabnam (9/5): Lovely - The place exceeded my expectation. There was everything that was required for our two days stay. The host was responsive to our requests. Nothing to complain, it was really good stay. Maybe they could add more toilet papers and add shower gel which was missing, otherwise everything was comfortable.
• Andy (9/5): Great place to stay in the heart of the busy seafront - Location is great. Very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. When more than a couple and people sleeping on sofa beds in lounge, could do with another chair or 2 maybe in kitchen or bedroom.

• Kayleigh (9/5): Superb - The host was very informative with directions to find the apartment and replied to messages promptly. The apartment was huge for what we needed and came with all the basics for a self catering holiday. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable but small. Location was excellent. I would definitely stay again in the future. The only small things I can say are the floorboards are quite creaky but if you're a heavy sleeper it shouldn't bother you too much.

• Scott (8/5): Very good - Clean & spacious apartment with amenities like WiFi, smart TV & spare towels & bedding. I was surprised how well sound proofed the apartment was, other than the seagulls and the occasional boy racer driving past which isn't the owners fault the flat was very quiet and made it easy to relax and sleep in peace. The location was spot on with easy access to the town centre, arcade strip and beach/seafront. It made getting around easy & convenient. The price was fantastic for what you get especially compared to your average travel lodge or premier inn. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend Blue Shell to others. The main bed could do with replacing as the mattress has seen better days but still able to get a nights sleep if using another duvet underneath as an additional mattress topper.

• Sharon (9/5): Hidden Gem - Absolute hidden wee gem, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Hot shower. Comfortable beds.

• Nigel (5/5): Like finding a needle in a haystack and we nearly ended up having to find alternative accommodation! - Good location if you want to be near the seafront We had a street name but no number and it took us a good 45 minutes to find a Blue Shell sticker on the key lock. About the size of a 50p. Like a reverse escape room. Ridiculous. We managed to get into the building and only got in because there was an internet-linked doorbell. Very unsatisfactory.

The host has thought of everything and didn’t fai - Excellent location, beach view, close to local amenities and entertainment. Clear instructions about entering and leaving the accommodation and extras like Netflix, good WiFi signal. Additionally the property had a parking permit for two hours which is really useful when you are checking out midweek and parking outside the property on a Sunday is free. What more could you ask for. Kitchen, lounge and dinning area a bit dull. Could do with a little revamp but nothing major. At the end of the days it’s a property rental. However the bathroom and bed room made the property. It was cosy and warm.

• Dawn (9/5): Great family place00 - Location best it was very close to everything so easy.the rooms were good size clean and comfortable. Great communication mad our stay very easy and hassle free. I'm being picky when I say this becos it is the only flaw the floor boards were very creaky but it didn't ruin our stay at all.

• Joanne (10/5): Perfect location for a break in Scarbados - Location was perfect, communication from the host was great and easy to follow. Apartment was bigger than expected and had everything we needed. Would stay again without a doubt! The wifi didn't work the first day, the general signal in Scarborough can be a bit spotty so could be an issue but we managed fine.
• Kat (3/5): Very disappointed - The location was fab, the apartment was a good size. The apartment was full of flies upon arrival. There was an awful musty smell. The fridge was turned off and smelled musty. There was dried food and ketchup on the dining table. There was crisps all over the pull out part of the sofa bed. There was toothpaste all over the sink splash back in the bathroom. The tv had no channels, the Netflix was outdated so would not load. All of the doors would slam shut really quickly, one hit my daughter in the head and the living room one slammed so quickly it ripped my new top the door stop behind the front door has a screw sticking out that cut my arm.

• Angela (7/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Good central location. Property had everything you needed. The bed settees in the living room there was no explanation where the bedding was. One of the duvets didn’t have any linen to put on it. The property could have been a bit cleaner.
