Guest Reviews
- Brian (10/5): - Great location, 5 mins into town. Really comfortable.and warm. Jason was very welcoming and when we entered the appartment there was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses on the table. Classy!
We'll be back
- Toye (10/5): Lovely clean apartment perfect for a couple. - Very clean and comfortable. Everything you would need in the city centre

- william (10/5): - Its location, layout, parking, and our host. It’s a simple place with kitchen area, bed area, a sitting area, and full bath.
Jason met us and showed us features and was super helpful.
Quiet yet super convenient spot in Galway. It’s in the rear of the primary residence and secured by a locked gate.
Would definitely stay again.
- Daniel (10/5): - Gran anfitrión y muy cómodo el hospedaje
- ERG101 (9/5): Great cosy stay in awesome location - Great location with parking, everything you need is there for cooking. Lots of soft furnishings and very cosy. Had a really great stay and would recommend it! Everything was clean and the hosts were very welcoming You have to heat the water for the shower but this is common in Ireland, and the shower was abit weak but again Ireland has weak water pressure. Hot water didn't work in kitchen but just used the kettle so was fine! Nothing a big deal!
- LauraRoo. (8/5): Great stay at a perfect location - Perfect location in central Galway.
10-20 minute walk to the main areas.
The chalet itself was very cute and cosy.
Had all mod cons and everything you need for a self sufficient stay. The chalet was cluttered with lots of things that felt like they were gathering dust.
Not a negative as such just an observation.
- Romeo (10/5): Nice stay in Galway - Perfect lication.
Friendly staff.
- grant (5/5): Good location but there was issues - Good location The room had a damp smell and couldn’t see a smoke detector.
- Daly (8/5): -
- Hughes (5/5): Lovely feeling and despite of shortcomings we enjoyed our stay. - Loved the location and parking was a bonus. No hot water in kitchen. Shower took 20+ minutes for hot water. One of heating elements in the kitchen didn’t work. Kitchen could have been stocked with more glasses and cookware. Bedding was stale and toilet seat was loose.
- Alistair (5/5): The place needs refurbishing - The bathroom was big and clean. It was overpriced.
The utensils cupboard/ tray was dirty and sticky.
The bed and pillows need replacing- very old
And uncomfortable.
With the bed against the wall you couldn’t get in and out of bed without climbing over each other
It felt like all the old, used things that were no longer needed were placed in the room.
It would have been nice to have had some milk left to have until we could go out to get some
I think the entire chalet which it isn’t needs a full upgrade.
Or reduce the price to reflect the quality and standard of the place.
- Tomas (9/5): Superb -
- Himanshu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Lovely stay at the chalet - Cute! Great location, privacy and parking. Only one large towel and we wished there were pillow cases on pillows.
- Susan (10/5): Welcoming, walkable and cozy. - The Chalet is in a wonderful Walkable location and you also have parking (which was a huge bonus for us). We felt incredibly supported and welcomed by the hosts and the neighborhood. The suggestions we received and the support for our activities was unexpected and so so appreciated. We truly enjoyed our stay 😊 Only the weather hahaha which actually wasn’t that bad, just a typical Irish May.
- Heidi (5/5): Passable - Lovely area, 10 minute walk to West side restaurants and pubs, 15 min to city centre. Free parking! A bottle of wine as a welcome. The place is in the owners tiny back garden, it is old and smelling of damp. It was dusty and several surfaces were dirty.
- Jimmmy (10/5): Jimmy Ireland - chalet was clean had everything we needed, location was perfect and parking was available
- Jessica (6/5): Cute apartment, not fancy but comfortable - The location is amazing. The size of the apartment is great. The entrance to the house is dirty with bicycles and old toys all over. The worst part is the narrow entrance WITH the the dirty trash cans. They could be cleaned!
The bedding seems old
- Paula (9/5): Convenient, quiet location. - Convenient, quiet location with private parking. Great host and very receptive to our requests. Very roomy. Comfortable pillows and bed. There was a bottle of wine and two glasses when we walked in. The garden was really lovely. Because of the rains, we were not out and about into the evening hours. The TV was not able to pick up local stations d/t a prior storm that took out the antenna.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recommended
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuil (5/5): Passable - - The location
- The list of restaurants and places to visit was really helpful
- All enquiries to the host were quickly answered - The water boiler for the shower is too small for 2 people to shower comfortably.
-It can get very cold in winter if it's windy despite the heating being on at max power.
- Did not feel clean (half empty toiletries from previous guests, stained cups and unpleasant smell from the bedsheets)
- Noreen (8/5): Hope to return 👍 - Fantastic hosts, thought of everything you may need during your visit, even had a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. Parking available which was great, and a short stroll from town. Would highly recommend, and hope to return. Could be cold in low temperature weather, electric heaters provided.
- Alex (9/5): Quaint homey space in the heart of Galway city. - The location to Galway was fantastic! It was only about a 5 minute walk to the Latin quarter. The room was big and well accommodating with a living sleeping area, a kitchen/dining room, and a bathroom. The patio was quaint and had a very homey feel. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the city. We are already missing our home away from home in Galway! Only thing I can say is that we were not aware that we had to turn the hot water heater switch on the first night, but once we figured that out everything was great.
- Ciara (8/5): I would go back - Great location, very clean and tidy. The shower wasn't very powerful I felt like the water wasn't really coming out
that much
- Aajah (9/5): Perfect location, cute and cozy with the fire place and friendly host! - Cozy and cute! Perfect location!!! Had to have quick showers for the water didn’t stay warm long enough.
- Nannc (8/5): Roomy cottage in a garden. - Great central location. Very cozy, rustic, cottage with a vibrant garden. Kitchen table overlooks the garden and it's just a sweet place to relax. Friendly hosts.
- John (10/5): Lives being able to walk to bars and restaurants. Location wise, perfect - Great location, excellent host with extra touches appreciated and car parking.
- Philip (10/5): Great stay. Brilliant hosts. - Excellent location, walking distance to the centre and salthill. Really helpful hosts. Perfect place to stay for a visit to Galway, highly recommend. The Chalet had everything you need, fully functioning kitchen, lovely living area, bedroom and bathroom. It is a lot bigger that anticipated. Bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch.
- Sylvia (8/5): Quirky, comfy. very well equipped - Very close to tourist attractions in Galway. 5 mins walk.
Very well supplied. soap, shampoo, tea ,coffee. ~Even a bottle of wine. Towels small and few.
We were there in bad weather. Could be a bit drafty.
