- Callum (8/5): Nice and peaceful stay in a nice accommodation - Property fitted out to a high spec and nice and bright with the large front window. Kitchen is very well equipped for your needs. The sunset behind the Lomond Hills was amazing! Plenty of facilities nearby too, plenty shops, things to do and also takeaway which deliver, which isn't always the case when so rural. The mattress was very comfortable, too firm (which is slightly personal preference) but also found it lumpy.
Curtains in the bedroom let in a lot of light, would suggest could do with either blackout curtains or also a blind.
A gate or fence beside the main door to separate between the garage and the property. The drives are separated by a fence so not having something by the door felt more strange.
- Mark (10/5): - Property was clean and tidy. Had all the facilities you need for a short stay. Really nice location to explore Fife
- Lynn (10/5): - Great location for a quiet weekend away
Views were fantastic
watched some lambs being born very tranquil.
The location was very central for travelling to st Andrew's and other small villages.
- sarahksiar (10/5): Immaculately clean and stocked with everything you need. - Exactly what we wanted - a clean, quiet and comfortable base to explore Fife. Has everything you need and more. Nothing.
- John (10/5): Definitely stay here again 100% - This place is definitely one of the best I have stayed at. The value for what you get is next to none. And the hosts were lovely.
- Kevin (8/5): For us, it was a relaxing , and the hosts very friendly and helpful - The location was, for us, ideal. Very quiet and with plenty of walks nearby There wasn't anything we disliked, however better provision for re-cycling would be appreciated. Space inside might be too tight but somewhere outside might work?
- Chloe (8/5): - The property was very clean and modern, with amazing views. When booking here to stay, to visit family, I was asked the estimate time of arrival , traveling from Nottingham roughly a 6 1/2 hour drive, I put down 12-1pm and Jane managed to accommodate this for us with no extra charge. When we arrived the property was very clean and the heating was on so it was lovely and warm too! As well as complimentary snacks and bottle of old iron bru, something we can’t get in Nottingham! It was lovely and quiet with scenic views and some lovely cows too! Thank you very much for accommodating us❤️ will definitely be looking to book again next year!
- tayjoxo (10/5): - The staff were amazing. Went above and beyond of what a host would do. Left fresh eggs and a birthday card as they knew i was there to celebrate my partners birthday. Let me check in early to put up decorations.
Beautiful little place to stay. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Everything you need in the property and great value for money. Enjoyed every second. There wasn't anything to dislike!
- Martyn (9/5): Small, very clean & well equipped accommodation in rural setting with lovely views. - Very clean and quiet. Nice views of farmland. Modern bathroom with great shower. Ability to adjust temperature via radiators. Would have given property 10/10 but for the bed, the mattress is very hard which is not for us.
- Elaine Margaret (9/5): - The hosts were great helped me find when I got lost....Also when was being nlibd mot sering a kitchen drawer. Just personal preference....
No oven.
Prefer settee or chair with recliner.

- Joke (10/5): - Rustige plek op het platteland. Uitzicht op schapen, koeien en een berg. Prachtig huisje, smaakvol ingericht. Genoten.
Fietsen in de buurt is mogelijk, maar veel over de weg.
Voor mensen die rust zoeken een heerlijke plek.
- Melissa (10/5): - Clean modern apartment less than 10 mins in a taxi from Markinch train station. Owners were very helpful in answering my questions before and during my stay. Lovely cows and horses outside the front window too!
- Amanda (10/5): Excellent stay! - Everything we needed for our stay. Lovely clean accommodation. Lovely area and close to Markinch and Glenrothes for shops etc. Owners were lovely and welcoming and found that everyone in the surrounding area were helpful and pleasant. Had a great stay at Star Scape. The only thing I would change is the mattress on the bed! It was very firm! That is a personal preference thing, though!
- Helen (10/5): Fantastic stay would definitely stop again. - The accommodation was excellent, very clean and nicely furnished providing a very comfortable stay. Situated in a great location with beautiful views. Easy access to Markinch train station for a visit to Edinburgh.
- Ian (10/5): A nice quiet break in a nice wee house. - It’s self catering. The location is very good on a working farm next to the farmer’s house. Although on a farm it’s very quiet, the only sounds are of the sheep, cattle, and the occasional tractor. The outlook is also good with views over to the Lomond Hills from inside the house or sitting outside in the sun. Wi-fi is good, multiple tv channels, and even a record player with a few albums to choose from. A minor addition in the bathroom was accepted as a good idea by Joan although it wasn’t something we didn’t like, just a suggestion for a wee improvement. We didn’t find any faults.
- Jade (10/5): - The location was lovely nice and relaxing Seeing how excited my daughter was about staying on a farm she loved the house and doesn’t stop talking about it and wants to go back
- Jennifer (10/5): A nice short chill and relaxed break. - Clean and cosy. Had everything you needed. Host on hand if needed. Lovely country view from property and central of everything we wanted to do. Nothing
- Rupert (10/5): Exceptional -

- Cliff (8/5): Very good - Nice, quiet location in the countryside. Easy to get to neighboring towns. Pretty much everything you need in a well laid out small apartment. Nothing. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for.
- Donald (9/5): Cosy and comfy, in a lovely peaceful location. - Comfortable and warm. Very peaceful.
- Graham (8/5): 2nd stay in 2 weeks would definately stay again - When you walk into the property the smell of freshness and when you lay in the bed the smell of clean sheets
And the small surprises of chocolate for a sweet tooth lol Nothing
- Graham (8/5): Very nice and quiet rural stay just what I like after a hard days work - Cost and comfortable for just relaxing Nothing
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and comfortable
Hosts were excellent
Would definitely stay again
- J (9/5): Superb - Beautiful remote location, short drive/bus to and from Markinch train station for easy travel.
Lovely cosy property with everything you need and more.
- Carlos (10/5): Amazing home and location, friendly owners. - Location, the house spotlessly clean and very comfortable 👌 N/A
- Helen (10/5): Had a lovely break - At a farm. Nice and peacefull. Didnt want for more from this short break. Excellent walk in shower.friendly proprietor (lived notfar from accommodation but not intrusive) Easy parking at door. Patio to nice views and garden furniture. Contact telephone number is wrong causing confusion
- Christine (10/5): Highly recommend if you want peace and quiet and comfort. - We arrived at the wrong property, so embarrassing 😩it was the property round the corner but it was our fault. I phoned the owners and they came and helped us out to the right property. Once in the property it was as it was in the pictures. Everything you needed including an air fryer. The extra bonus for us as pensioners was a record player with some LPs from our era and enjoyed them thoughly. Highly recommend this property. Peace and quiet and a fantastic view. The bumpy road. When you've not long after a hip replacement it was a bit uncomfortable.
- Julius (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Nice place for a couple to stay. A challenge to find in the dark.
Surrounding area is waiting for completion.
- Tommy (10/5): Exceptional - Location, cleanliness and spacious Nothing, all above expectation
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Lovely apartment with no expense spared on the decor, bedding, towels. Very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay - Clean, stylish and comfortable Location was a bit remote and own transport is a must
- Bohdan (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet and comfortable apartment, makes you feel at home, good location, communication with the owners is very fast and efficient.
- Harrison (9/5): Great stay, would definitely go again. - Great location with beautiful scenery. The place itself was cosy, with pretty much everything in easy to access locations. Not too far away from anything either, Markinch being a short drive away, meaning you could catch a train to Edinburgh should you so wish to. Heating didn't work, however as it was a brand new property, it should be expected that not everything would be 100% perfect. Despite this, it wasn't an issue as the property didn't get particularly cold. The owner provided us with a portable heater while the heating was being fixed. The road leading to the property was a bit confusing as it didn't show up on the map, meaning it can be difficult for larger vehicles to reach, however once the road is actually found, it's very easy to get in and out of.
