Guest Reviews
- Eifion (10/5): - It was all great. Such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Unbelievably clean Nothing
- Mawbey (10/5): Biker friendly - Biker friendly hosts, with a beautifully kept apartment. The off-road, gated, parking fit 2 bikes beautifully and could probably get a 3rd bike in.
Will definitely be staying again next year
- Julie (9/5): Enjoyable stay - Very nicely decorated and furnished. Very clean.
Liked the food items that were left for us , nice thought . Bit smaller than we thought but didn’t cause any issues
- Caron (7/5): It was lovely and relaxing. - Clean and comfortable. The sweet personal touches was lovely. The road at the front was noisy.
- Ashley (9/5): An amazing Christmas stay - The apartment was immaculate with everything we could need for our stay. There's a secure private driveway and more than enough space for a family of 4. The lovely owners thought about our stay and left us crumpets and biscuits, jam, butter and milk. There were toiletries in the bathroom and everything you could need in the kitchenette. Nothing at all.
- Kelly (10/5): Excellent bases for our adventures definitely would book again. - The property has a lot of charm, everything you required for our little break.the little extras that the owners had left were a lovely treat. Nothing
- Yasmeen (8/5): - The place was very clean and comfortable and provided all that we needed for our stay. There were thoughtful touches with some supplies for breakfast and goodies waiting after a long drive.
The accommodation is closer to town than we anticipated so very handy and set against a stunning
backdrop.
- Tracy (10/5): - The shower was amazing. The location was good and the fish and chip shop next door was great and cheap.
- Roxanne (10/5): -
- Beverley (10/5): - Very warm and comfortable

We had a great stay. Will be returning for sure. 😀 Nothing.
- Sarah (10/5): We were visiting family for a wedding reception. The property was a perfect location for the venue. Also a great location - The property was perfect, had everything we wanted to make it a comfortable stay
- Hayley (10/5): Lovely apartment with wonderful hosts. - The apartment was very welcoming and clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The perfect base for our holiday. Even better still, the owners were lovely people, with beautiful, friendly dogs. They welcomed us (family of four) into their property and made our break extra special. Nothing. It was a lovely place to stay.
- Sean (10/5): We’d definitely stay here again, vey comfortable and clean the owners were friendly and made our stay very pleasant. - The property was very clean and comfortable and the owners were really nice and very helpful Nothing to say here really.
- Nick (9/5): - Nice and clean nice surroundings and a nice little touch with biscuits tea milk crumpets for when we arrived
- Adriana (10/5): -
- Marlene (10/5): Gaby and George know how to make their guests happy 😁 - It was amazing! So clean and comfortable. Fully stocked - crumpets, butter and jam, cookies, milk, tissues, paper towels.
Cooking utensils, everything we needed. Highly recommend Taylor Way. I liked everything!
- Maria (10/5): Very lovely apartment - Really well stocked with all essentials. Perfect location for what we wanted to do. Roomy and easy to find N/a
- Anne (10/5): Comfortable, unintrusive. Just perfect. - The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It gave us everything we needed for our stay. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean and everything we needed.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Friendly/helpful hosts. The flat was clean/warm, and it was lovely to have some essentials provided (tea, coffee, biscuits, crumpets, jam/butter, oil, toilet roll, shower gel etc). We didn't have plans to cook, but used the air fryer and microwave provided in the kitchenette for reheating takeaway food.
Convenient parking, perfect size for three of us, and good value.
- Kathy (9/5): Superb - It was very nice to have separate rooms and the place was cozy. I wish we were a little closer to downtown Aberystwyth and the road was quieter.
- Andrea (10/5): Lovely clean, cosy apartment near Aberystwyth - Lovely 2 bedroomed apartment a couple of miles outside Aberystwyth. It was spotlessly clean and perfect for the three of us. It's on a very busy road with lorries, cars and motorbikes speeding past but there is a footpath so you don't feel in any danger. The bedrooms are really cosy and the beds are very comfortable. There is a bath and separate shower so I treated myself to baths before bed to relax, the bath is lovely and large so you can really have a good soak, but the size also makes it easy to get in and out of, despite my metal unbending knees. The host left us a lovely surprise of milk, butter, jam, crumpets, biscuits enabling us to breakfast well before having to go shopping, brilliant. It's a great place to stay and relax whilst visiting Aberystwyth and the surrounding area.
- Linda (8/5): Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the property - We liked the little touches ie milk tea coffee toilet rolls tissues biscuits etc very thoughtful Bathroom sink plug didn’t work
Leaflet for silver mine 3yrs out of date so price was £6 dearer to get in
Could do with a drainer area for sink and an oven
- William (9/5): Superb - Tight stairway up stairs, relaxing, well laid out. Host very friendly. She supplied butter and jam and some milk for coffee. Plus crumpets. Very nice Directions to property difficult to find, no house number for GPS use, GPS did not recognize Taylor way
- Mackay (9/5): Superb - Great location, we were visiting family in the area and we were nearby to the local facilities.
- Paula (8/5): Very good - Everything you need for a home from home.Well equipt warm and cosy. Lovely little touches of bara brith and crumpets which were very welcome. Great communication and very welcoming hosts. Advantage to have off road parking.
Great location as visiting family in Aberystwyth. Some traffic noise.
- Suneth (7/5): Good -
- Damon (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, clean and comfortable for my business trip. N A
- Simone (7/5): A nice weekend away - We had space, it was close to the town and clean. Nothing
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Swee (8/5): Very good - Very clean and quaint No washing machine
Living room too small
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ciaran (8/5): Very good - Lovely little cottage. Clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Bathroom/shower was perfectly clean and the shower was strong and warm.
An ideal base to spend your days out travelling etc There was a bit of road noise from outside during the night, 1 of group was a light sleeper and struggled with this but the remainder slept well.
- Handzel (10/5): Our stay was absolutely wonderful :) - Great, friendly hosts with lovely dogs. The house is located on the main road, so if you have the windows open it is a bit noisy, but it is equipped with solid, modern windows that practically completely protect from noise. The location is great. If you are traveling by car, very close to the city center and to many attractions such as the Devil's Bridge. We love this area. The rooms are perfectly clean, decorated with exceptional taste and style. A very nice addition was homemade cookies, jam, butter and milk. We also had coffee, tea and sugar at our disposal. It was very nice. We had everything we needed and even more. If we are nearby, we will definitely come back to this place. The only downside was that we could only be there for a weekend ;) Everything was perfect.
- Matytsyna (10/5): Lovely and comfortable - The property was tidy, lovely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there. When we came to the cottage we found homemade biscuits, some milk, butter, jam and bread🙂 little things made our stay here enjoyable. I couldn’t sleep tight due to the noise of vehicles.
- Wilson (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (6/5): Nice flat for 4 people max - the flat is lovely and clean, 2 bedrooms are great size and very well equipped. Bathroom has bath and shower and host leaves toiletry products for you to use. this flat sleeps 4 guests comfortably not 5/6. to use the bed settee you have to fold up table and stack benches on top before there is enough space to pull the bed out.
the tiny kitchen area is also in this room and is difficult to use (microwave low to ground) etc.
We were a party of 5 and had nowhere to put plates to dish food up, without unstacking the benches and table and then going through the stacking process again shortly after.
Sadly the flat is also on a busy main road and with windows shut its not too noisy but in the summer this is very warm.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Man (8/5): Our stay was good as the apartment was clean and tidy with enough facilities. - The location is good except there is a very busy road outside the property. None
- O'donovan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (10/5): Fabulous - Lovely location, very friendly and helpful hosts, really cosy and clean with lovely little extra touches like homemade biscuits, bread, milk and toiletries. We had a fantastic stay. nothing
- Jake (8/5): Very good -
- Angelina (9/5): Superb - The property was cosy, nice touches everywhere. Really clean. Homemade biscuits were a lovely touch. Easy parking. Friendly area.
- Mike (8/5): A comfortable apartment with off road parking - The apartment is comfortably furnished The kitchenette does not have a job to cook food is a pan. Other than that is was great
- Roberts (10/5): Clean, comfortable and relaxing, absolutely brilliant - The property was extremely clean with easy access and safe parking, Gaby greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome, there were so many little homely touches like, home made biscuits, bread, Milk, butter and jam and much more !! it really is a perfect place to stay and superb base to enjoy the beautiful Welsh hills, valleys and beaches, 10/10 I cannot think of anything negative 😃
- Christine (10/5): Very enjoyable - Loved our stay and would highly recommend. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Lovely decor and so many little touches that made it very welcoming, especially the home made biscuits :). Location was good for us and it is so handy to travel into Aberystwyth. Nothing, everything was great.
- Gemma (9/5): Superb - Really cosy with some lovely touches like homemade biscuits.
The owners were lovely too. Nothing.
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Helpful. Friendly. It's really comfortable and very much like home
- Karen (9/5): A welcoming bolt-hole in beautiful Wales. We will come again. - We had a long, tiring journey and we were so pleased to arrive at this lovely compact and comfortable appartment. It was spotless and well thought out, with some very handy additions such as a towel airer, hairdryer, games & DVDs. There were also some very welcome tea/coffee-making supplies and delicious homemade nibbles to greet us! It has its own private parking space behind the property which was very convenient for weary travellers. We could not fault this property.
- Andrew (10/5): Great location for ease of access to coast walks and Aberystwyth. - The extra touches of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, jam and lemon shortbread biscuits was a lovely touch. Everything was perfect for our stay away. Great shower and comfy bed. Some road noise early in the morning but it didn't affect our stay.
- Jenna (7/5): Overall really enjoyed and would definitely stay there again. - • VERY clean, immaculate in fact
• Lovely little touches around e.g milk, butter, jam, bread and the homemade biscuits.
• decorated really nice, loved the double room and how retro it looked with the bed & lamps!
• TV is huge in the sitting room
• Off road parking, which is always a bonus!! • Cold (the heating is controlled downstairs by the owners, so when they were out yesterday when we got back the upstairs was very cold)
• Location, a lovely village but a bit too far out the way of Aberystwyth- if you didn’t drive it would be hard to get to and from if you didn’t know the area.
• Sitting room/kitchen very small, comfy enough for 3 people but it would be too small for any more than that (would be better if the front double room was in there and the living room/kitchen was in the bigger room)
• Found a few wood louses crawling around on ceilings and walls.
- Mandy (7/5): Lovely hosts /apartment very well maintained - Bedrooms comfortable, bathroom good Road noise / kitchen needs a drainer for after washing up
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Carys (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (4/5): Disappointing - The facilities for cooking was poor and it wasn't very warm. The hosts weren't there for the first day and returned later the second day. This meant the heating couldn't be switched on as this was controlled from their house and the place was very cold. I would struggle to see 6 people staying in this accommodation comfortably. The area where you sit and area for making food is the same place and very small.
- Samuel (9/5): Great stay, would use again. - Good set up, had all the essentials and was in a good location.
- Ian (8/5): We had a lovely stay - The property was great very clean and comfortable Bit to far from town
- Simon (10/5): Very pleased with everything - hosts were friendly and helpful - Spotlessly clean and well prepared for our visit
Nice home made cookies on arrival
Very comfy beds We had a 90 year old with us and the only MINOR criticism was the stairs could possibly do with a handrail both sides for elderly visitors
- Shareyah (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and clean the beds were so comfy. The home made cookies on arrival were lovely. The personal touch of jam, milk and butter and toiletries if needed was really thoughtful. Was really nice to meet the hosts and their dogs too would definitely recommend this place to stay and will definitely be booking again
- Yoana (10/5): Little very pleasant house - We loved the home spirit of the house and Gaby & George were very friendly and easy approachable hosts.Everything was perfect. Thank you for feeling welcome! Nothing to complain.
- Karan (8/5): Very good -
- Mckenna (10/5): Relaxed, friendly, and went out of their way to welcome us. It's just perfect. - I loved the little extra touches like the milk ,butter, homemade jam, and biscuits in the apartment when we landed. And the homemade buns left for us the night before we left and a lovely note. There's nothing I could say to that.
- Louise (8/5): Very good - Comfortable. Thoughtful owners, lovely biscuits, breakfast items, first aid etc. Good decor Front door a little too close to highway. A little hard to find when driving from the north
- Ottilia (8/5): Nice, fit the purpose. - Easy access to town. Too close to the road makes it noisy.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Spotless, well situated outside the town. Small kitchenette fine for a short stay. Friendly owners. No outside space. Traffic noise very intrusive, especially at night.
- Elliot (8/5): Pleasant apartment that suited our needs well. Best to eat out, though. - The property location, bedrooms and parking perfectly suited our needs. The owner was very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome. The cooking/kitchen facilities were extremely limited and the living room quite uncomfortable for more than 2 people.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for work, lovely hosts, will definitely use again Nothing! It was just perfect for our needs
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, great location
- Bernadette (8/5): homely stay within easy reach of Aberystwyth without the city crowding - 2 bedroom, comfy beds, small but communal living/dining/kitchen , simple kitchen d RD acilities but addition of air fryer, microwave, toaster made meal prep simple. parking available.
nice welcoming touches from owners - biscuits, welfare pack in bathroom need something to air damp clothes on overnight
- Liz (10/5): Aberystwyth Trip - The apartment was beautiful decorated, clean ,comfortable beds & had everything you needed !
There were lots of little touch like a jar of homemade cookies on arrival ! Which were delicious & made us feel very welcome & helped to make stay extra special ! N/A
- Sherman (10/5): Clean & comfortable. Central for travel. - Gaby & George (& dog Ronny) have created a beautiful space in the top floor of their holiday apartment for travellers. We needed a clean and comfortable space for 4 adults to rest for a couple of nights, while we travel to several destinations in Wales. Their accommodation in Aberystwyth is convenient for us as a jumping off point to drive to downtown Aberystwyth, Snowdonia, and Hay-on-Wye. We were pleasantly gifted with homemade lemon biscuits (with the ingredients listed for those with dietary restrictions), fresh bread, butter and jam (all with dates) a very nice touch! And if you cross the street in the morning, you’ll be able to view sheep grazing in the field! We’re grateful and thankful for the opportunity to stay at Gaby & George’s Taylor Way Holiday Apartment in Aberystwyth! Highly recommend! (Diolch yn fawr iawn!)
