• Craig (9/5): Excellent value for money in a great location if you are up for exploring the city and surrounding locations. - Had everything we needed, felt homely and the air conditioning was great which was very much needed! Plenty of coffee, condiments and bits and pieces provided. Bed was comfy. Quiet with the windows closed even if there was lots going on outside. Good wifi. Good location, short walk to the main piazzas for evening meals/drinks etc, also only a short walk to the train station which we used a lot to visit Toarmina about an hour north and Syracuse about an hour south. Nice touch from Maurizio to offer guided trips which he personally undertakes. We went on the Mt Etna excursion and he was great, excellent host! The area is a bit rough and ready so not for everyone, however we loved it, as it showed the real feel of the city centre and didn’t once feel uncomfortable walking the streets, even late at night. Shower could have been slightly cleaner and the hot water in the building often runs out so showers are not always the warmest. Not much of a balcony, opens out into an unsightly courtyard at the back of lots of flats.

• Maria (10/5): Cosy and comfortable - The apartment was very cosy and comfortable, it also has some extra equipment like fresh coffee, oil, salt, sugar, etc. It was very close to everything, the bus, the train and the old centre. Moreover, the host was super helpful, we appreciate it very much!

• Edu1980 (7/5): Nice stay - The apartment is in good condition and has been fully renovated. The host is very friendly and recommended many things to do. He was very attentive to our stay and always ready to help if we needed anything. He even booked a restaurant table for us on the first day that we have arrived late. The bed was comfortable, with a TV right in front of it. We were welcomed with coffee, and there is air conditioning in each room. A vacuum cleaner is also available in case you want to clean up the sand you bring back from the beach. The apartment is in good overall condition, but I feel it’s important to mention a few points for future guests. The surrounding neighborhood is not the cleanest, and there is a constant smell of humidity inside, which might not be suitable for people with allergies or asthma. In the bathroom, there was an occasional sewer smell, and one of the blankets had a slight humidity odor. In the kitchen, there were two Teflon knives scratched , and although there were other pans to use, two of them had scratched Teflon, so it’s worth being cautious as damaged Teflon can be unhealthy. Sometimes we had to eat outside to avoid the humidity smell I believe that with a small investment, the host could easily address these issues and make the stay even more enjoyable.
• Andrew (9/5): Great apartment - This is a compact apartment with a small kitchen diner and a normal size bedroom. Kitchen has all facilities including fridge and oven. Aircon is excellent.
• Lesia (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment has everything you need for a peaceful stay. Very comfortable mattress! In the kitchen you can make delicious coffee with sweet pastries. Good location, a few minutes to the central streets, to the bus stop. The owner is always in touch, will tell you what you need
• Audrius (9/5): Superb - This apartment has many advantages - fully equiped kitchen with oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, pots, pans, oils for cooking and so on. Waching machine, air conditioning. Everything is clean and new. Very close to city center. Host Maurizio is lovely, open for advice and help, you have brochures waiting for you with sights to see, map with your location, discounts for restaurant and Etna tours. There is guarded parking in 300-400 meters.
• Eva (9/5): I recommend the apartment for two adults, it was a bit small for us (2 adults, 1 child) - Good location, nicely equipped apartment in the centre of Catania.
