• Lena (9/5): - Its a beautiful setting, the little huts are nice and the breakfast was very good and made at the time we would like it. You had to pay in cash, which we were not told before. Its a bit of a dark alley to walk back to at night.

• Ibrahim (10/5): Tolle Gastgeber, sehr saubere und wunderschöne Anlage - Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer, was sehr sehr sauber war, auch das Badezimmer war sehr sauber, wir hatten dieses Cottage aufgrund der Bewertungen über die Sauberkeit gebucht und können das nur bestätigen. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut. In Enaya Cottage wurden wir von den Gastgebern Chaturi und Gayan herzlichst begrüßt. Chaturi hat uns gleich gute Tipps für den nächsten Tag gegeben, da wir den Lions Rock besteigen wollten (auf jeden Fall sehr früh morgens). Die Hin- und Rückfahrt hatte uns Chaturi organisiert. Als wir wieder im Cottage waren, war das Frühstück schon vorbereitet und wir konnten lecker frühstücken. Nachmittags haben wir dann eine tolle Safari mit Gayan unternommen, die Safari ging 14 Uhr los. Wir waren zwar in der "City" - (Barista Cafe - sehr leckere Getränke und es ist klimatisiert). Gayan hat uns netterweise um Punkt 14 Uhr vom Barista Cafe abgeholt, wir sind in den Nationalpark gefahren und haben eine Menge Elefanten gesehen. Gayan ist sehr sympathisch, fährt sehr sicher, kennt sich sehr gut aus im Nationalpark und hat Adleraugen, findet die kleinsten Tiere und die besten Wege, absolut Empfehlenswert. Ihr solltet auf jeden Fall ein Capi und Sonnenschutz dabei haben...

• Brittany (10/5): Peaceful stay with excellent host and breakfast - A great place to stay! Beautiful and private cottages close to the main road. An easy walk (5-10 minutes) to restaurants. The host was amazing and very helpful with anything we needed or any advice. We booked a safari with her husband and it was fantastic, saw lots of elephants up close with no other jeeps around. The breakfast was a highlight each day. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast freshly cooked. Would stay here again :)
• Tabea (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen! - Die eigene kleine Hütte inklusive des Bads ist sehr großzügig für zwei Personen, alles ist sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet worden. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage. Von der Terrasse hat man einen Blick in den grünen wunderschön angelegten Garten. Die Gastgeber sind unfassbar freundlich, dabei aber überhaupt nicht aufdringlich. Jeden Morgen gibt es typisches Frühstück aus Sri Lanka zur gewünschten Zeit, dieses ist abwechslungsreich, riesig und lecker. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße, man ist aber schnell zu Fuß in der „Stadt“. Wenn man eine Safari machen möchte, sollte man diese unbedingt über den Gastgeber buchen. Er macht das mit viel Respekt vor den Tieren und erklärt vieles nebenbei. Wirklich empfehlenswert! Ein Kühlschrank würde die Unterkunft perfekt machen, das ist aber wirklich Klagen auf hohem Niveau.

• Caroline (10/5): Absolute Herzens-Empfehlung - Gemütliches Häuschen auf dem Grundstück der Familie. Im Moment gibt es 3 davon. Sehr leckeres Frühstück, es werden auch Kochkurse angeboten. Familiär und trotzdem viel Privatsphäre. Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen, die Frau war immer über WhatsApp erreichbar und hat ein TukTuk zum sehr fairen Preis organisiert und uns wertvolle Zipps gegeben. Wir haben mit dem Mann eine Safari gemacht, was die absolut beste Entscheidung war. Wir waren ganz oft alleine und er ist den Elefanten mit Respekt begegnet. Man merkt, dass er liebt was er tut. Konnten uns keinen besseren Guide vorstellen. Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt.

• Lena (10/5): Sofort wieder - alles ausgezeichnet! - Wir waren 3 Nächte da. Die Besitzerin hat davor bereits per what’s App Kontakt mit uns aufgenommen. Die Unterkunft war top, alles sauber und wunderschön. Wir machten in der Unterkunft einen Kochkurs und außerdem mit dem Besitzer eine Safari. Beides war super. Das Frühstück war typisch sri-lankisch und super lecker. Es gab jeden Tag etwas anderes und immer Kaffee und Tee sowie einen frischen Saft dazu. Außerdem haben wir auch jeden Abend in der Unterkunft gegessen. Sie organisierten uns während des Aufenthalts einen Tuk-Tuk Fahrer welchen wir jederzeit per what’s App kontaktieren konnten. Außerdem organisierten sie für uns die Weiterfahrt nach Kandy. Wir würden sofort wieder dort übernachten.

Only complaint would be the noise at night, dogs barking for a few hours every night but unfortunately think this is the case for ALL of Sigiriya, not just here. - bring earplugs!

• Madita (10/5): - Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit, und haben direkt noch eine Nacht verlängert. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig und gut zu erreichen. Alles ist sehr sauber, und die Besitzer sind wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Un vrai régal, du fait maison local. Nous avons également pu faire connaissance de la petite famille. Petit déjeuner varié, local et fait maison. Et tout cela avec le sourire. tout était parfait.
• Elisa (9/5): Super colazione e posizione strategica - L'hotel da raggiungere è un po' complesso, ma comunque vicino a una zona viva con localini carini. Host super disponibile e gentile, ci ha aspettato alla sera tardi x l'accoglienza. Le stanze sono dei bungalow molto caratteristici, davvero belli! In camera acqua calda e phon, 2 bottigliette d'acqua. Letto grande e comodo. (Una sera avevamo freddo e ci hanno dato una coperta in più). Bagno enorme con lavello piccolo e doccia aperta sul pavimento. Colazione abbondante e super buona! Durante un black out sono stati comunque in grado di offrirci una super colazione! La zanzariera sopra il letto aveva un pessimo odore: mai usata. Ma non abbiamo trovato nemmeno zanzare, quindi bene così.
• Theresa (8/5): Tolle familiäre Unterkunft - Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Eigentümerin hatte uns herzlich empfangen und man konnte sie jederzeit gut über Whats App erreichen. Im Zimmer gab es eine Klimaanlage, ein Moskitonetz und einen Ventilator. Leider hatte es etwas geregnet, als wir da waren, sodass es auch etwas klamm wurde im Zimmer. Durch die vorhandene Klimaanlage aber weniger spürbar. Man hatte das Gefühl direkt in der Wildnis zu schlafen. Die Eigentümerin organisierte uns auch einen Fahrer für die Fahrt nach Kandy. Außerdem haben wir eine Safari mit dem Ehemann im Hurulu Eco Park gemacht. Diese war auch sehr toll! Nicht zu viele andere Jeeps. Wir waren auch immer die ersten an Elefanten Spots. Er war auch sehr rücksichtsvoll und kannte sich gut aus. Das typische Frühstück aus Sri Lanka war auch eine tolle Erfahrung und sehr lecker. Rund um ein guter Start für eine Rundtour auf Sri Lanka. Das Bad kann evtl. etwas irritieren da dort Dusche und Toilette in einem ist, was uns aber nicht gestört hat.

Die Gastgeberin ist unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam, sodass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Der Kochkurs mit anschließendem Essen war das beste kulinarische Erlebnis unserer Reise! Auch das Frühstück war jeden Morgen frisch und sehr lecker. Die schönen Zimmer liegen mitten in der Natur und die gesamte Anlage ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet.

We had a frog and a lizard in the room, but that's natural, and we were easily able to get them out of the room and back into the garden. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Das Frühstück war ebenfalls gut, jedoch für unseren geschmack etwas zu viel was die nette Dame für uns zwei gezaubert hat. Für uns Europäer ungewohnt, dass die Dusche nicht getrennt vom restlichen Bad ist. Aber das ist für die Südostasiatischen Länder ganz normal.

De man van de eigenaresse is nu bezig met het bouwen van het derde huisje en hij bouwt alle huisjes helemaal zelf! Ook dichtbij de rock om te beklimmen. Niets.

• Michael (10/5): Sauber, modern, herzlich. - Super um alles umliegende zu Erkunden und fussläufig viele Restaurants! Safari mit dem Ehemann Gayan unbedingt zu empfehlen! Er hat spontan den Park gewechselt und wir waren nur mit einzelnen anderen Jeeps bei vielen Elefanten! Frühstück super lecker! Unterkunft sehr sauber und sehr komfortabel!! Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen!
• Amber (10/5): Amazing stay - We had a lovely stay at Sigri Enaya Cottage. The cottages are spacious, very pretty, and clean. In addition they are situated in a lovely garden. The location of the cottages is also very nice. Off the main road so there is no noise but still wakable to all the nice restaurants. The hosts are wonderfull and they were more than willing to help with arranging the tuktuk for our travel to Kandy and several other short trips such as the Pirandugala rock (Nimesh was a really great diver) We also took a trip with Gayan (the host) to Minneriya, which was amazing we saw so many elephants and it was a truly incredible experience! Lastly, we really enjoyed the diner that was made for us and the breakfast each morning was lovely and different every time. Totally recommend this stay!! /

• Mara (10/5): Heel fijn en kleinschalig verblijf in Sigiriya - Mooie, zelfgebouwde huisjes met een goed bed en een hele fijne, warme douche. De homestay is gelegen in een rustig straatje en omgeven door een mooi aangelegde tuin. Leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand of 3 min. met de tuktuk en uitgebreid ontbijt inbegrepen. Soms valt de stroom even korte tijd uit, hier kan de accommodatie uiteraard niks aan doen!

• Tessa (10/5): Geweldige cottage op knusse plek, dikke aanrader! - Prachtig huisje, zorgvuldig gebouwd door de host zelf. Er hangt op dit stukje land een ontzettend fijne sfeer die zij zelf hebben gecreëerd. Knus en gezellig, ook door de host zelf die ontzettend lief en gastvrij is.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich super geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bieter den perfekten Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Man kann zwischen den Aktivitäten super in der Hängematte und auf der Terrasse entspannen. Auch die Safari mit Gayan können wir jedem sehr empfehlen. Er nimmt Rücksicht auf die Tiere und wir könnten sogar ein kleines Elefantenbaby auf unserer Tour sichten. Nichts.

• Nina (10/5): - Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und gepflegt mit einem großen Garten (inklusive diverser Vögel, und Reptilien). In unserem Zimmer gab es einige Geckos und Frösche, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Alles war sehr sauber und die Gastgeberfamilie super nett und freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, an einem Abend hatten wir auch Abendessen hier, was sehr lecker war und ganz frisch zubereitet wurde. Der Lion Rock ist fußläufig zu erreichen, auch sind einige Restaurants nur fünf Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Wir unternahmen außerdem eine Safari in den Huluru Eco Park, mit dem Mann der Gasgeberin. Diese hat sich sehr gelohnt und war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis her super. Leider gibt es in der Nähe sehr viele Hunde (wie oft in Sri Lanka), aber das ist nicht die Schuld der Gastgeber.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely sisters and their adorable kids. They treated us to a refreshing fresh juice made from fruits right from their garden, which was such a thoughtful touch. The cottage itself was super clean and comfortable, providing a perfect space to relax. We had a great night's sleep, and the breakfast served was absolutely delicious! There are several restaurants, with just a short 10-minute walk away. We had the pleasure of dining at the brother’s restaurant, “Downtown,” where the food was fantastic and service was exceptional. The kindness and hospitality of the family truly made our experience unforgettable. I wish them all the success with their new business—they have so much to be proud of! If you're looking for a charming place to stay, I highly recommend Sigiri Enaya Cottage. You won’t be disappointed!
• David (10/5): Wunderbare, ruhige Unterkunft mit lieben Besitzern - Wir haben hier vier Nächte verbracht und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Häuschen sind einfach, aber haben alles, was man braucht. Der Garten ist wunderschön und lädt durch die Ruhe zum Entspannen ein. Die Besitzer sind super lieb und zaubern jeden Morgen ein liebevolles, leckeres Frühstück und haben auch unseren Transport vom Flughafen organisiert. Mit Gayan haben wir eine Jeep-Safari gemacht, die wir nur empfehlen könne. In den Ort läuft man ca. 10 Minuten und ist somit nah an netten Restaurants usw. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!
• Raúl 08 (8/5): Mejorable aunque agradable - El personal muy amable. La cama muy cómoda y la habitación y el baño muy amplios. El jardín es muy bonito, está muy cuidado. Está muy cerca del pueblo, pero perfectamente alejado para poder dormir tranquilos. No nos pudieron preparar desayuno para llevar cuando salimos a las 5 de la mañana. Tampoco pudimos cenar allí. A la cabaña le falta un aire acondicionado. Por la noche se puede dormir bien con el ventilador. Durante el día es una sauna. En el baño aparecían muchas ranas que salían del desagüe. El desayuno podría ser mejor.
• Phoebe (10/5): Relaxing escape in Sigiriya - Chathuri and her sister have done an incredible job to create and idyllic and restful cottage. Located a short walk down a small side road, the quaint cottages are away from the hustle and bustle of central Sigiriya and allows you to take in the sounds of nature. Chathuri and her sister’s breakfast was sensational and a very nice introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine for us. Chathuri’s husband Gayan was ready and waiting to pick us up from Habarana train station and we were also able to arrange a safari with Gayan which was sensational! I would recommend this place to all couples and solo travellers as a beautiful place to stay in Sigiriya and Sri Lanka.

• Panzar (10/5): - It is a really nice cottage with an amazing garden. When you arrive you imidiatly want to stay there. I got a fresh made juice when I arrived and also for breakfast. Owner very helpful and nice. It's not in the middle of the restaurants but you are in Sigiriya in 5 minutes.

• Yevhen.M (10/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful garden cottage - I stayed in the cottage for just one night, but I really liked the place itself, the people who welcomed me, and the room I stayed in. I arrived very late, past the check-in time, but they accommodated me without any issues. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and in the morning, I saw an iguana, a squirrel, a rabbit, and even a peacock right in front of my door. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and satisfying. It’s a wonderful place - I just wish I had more time to stay there! There is no air conditioner, but there is a ceiling fan.

The girls that manage the place are very kind and respectful of guests’ privacy. They welcomed us with a fresh juice and a lovely smile! The breakfast was freshly made and served in their beautiful patio. We highly recommend this cottages! They are located in a quite and private garden near the main road where you can find many little and nice restaurants for dinner. Everything was perfect

Haben das Frühstück von Netmi der Schwester der Besitzerin bekommen: war super lecker und sehr ausgiebig und frisch! Die Besitzer super nett und zuvorkommend und sehr lieb. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Außerdem ist die Jeep Safari des Inhabers sehr zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück war großartig und abwechslungsreich. Die Unterkunft selbst war super ausgestattet, man hat viel Platz und es ist alles sehr sauber - einfach zum Wohlfühlen, wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg!

Only a short walk from the main town made this easily accessible by foot. We loved the hammock in the garden and would definitely recommend to others! Nothing!

• Frans (9/5): - Geweldig verblijf gehad. Gastvrijheid staat hoog in het vaandel. Ontbijt was heerlijk. Op loopafstand van de barretjes en de restaurants. We waren maar 2 nachten op deze plek en de gastvrouw heeft alle activiteiten die we wilden voor ons geregeld. Vooral de olifant Safari die haar man verzorgd is aan te raden. Wij hebben in ieder geval genoten. Het weer was wat minder.

The room was lovely, and the garden was breathtaking, teeming with birds, squirrels, and mongooses to watch while enjoying your tea. Breakfast was delicious and generously portioned.
