• Linnea (7/5): Beautiful stay in a lovely place - A lovely homestay in the heart of Phong Nha. We stayed very comfortably and were even greeted with breakfast on our first day with a very early arrival. Our host was very helpful with organising activities and helping us book. The free bicycles were excellent to get into town for our evening meals!

Of course you are by the river hence why there are flies. The kitchen was not clean.

• Ève (10/5): - Host was amazingly nice, helped booked all of our activities and transport to and from Phong Nha, even let us keep the room longer on our last day since our train was very late in the evening! View from the room is so beautiful, kayaks and bicycles available for free, which is great since it's a little far from the town, but it's nice to be in such a peaceful and calm environment. Everything was great! Very minor thing but the bicycles are in rough shape, definitely still usable though!

• Tich (6/5): Moyen - La logeuse est sympathique, le pancake à la banane est bon. La logeuse a proposé une sortie sympa. Belle vue depuis la terrasse du petit déjeuner. Les surfaces sont sales dans la chambre (à part le sol). Le lit est très inconfortable. Les murs ne sont pas isolés donc j’ai été réveillée a4h par le réveil du voisin. Les vélos sont complètement pourris, les canoës sont impraticables d'apparence. Nous avons été accueilli par une personne avec qui il était impossible de communiquer, même avec le translate. Attention, il est écrit "vue sur la rivière " mais seules 3 chambres sont en face de la rivière.

• Thị Mi Sa (9/5): Thích nơi này. - View ở đây nhìn ra sông nên rất thơ mộng. Phòng mình view sông nên từ giường ngủ có thể phóng tầm mắt ra sông núi phía trước, nhìn rất thích. Bữa ăn sáng chỉ có mỳ tôm và bánh mỳ ốp la. Nên bổ sung thực đơn cho phong phú hơn.

We wanted to go caving and not only did they have a lot of detailed alternatives, they also helped with booking our tour. The view is really nice and the room even had an extra queen size bed.

• anat (10/5): נוף מרהיב - שהינו בחדר משפחתי בקומת הקרקע. חדר נקי ומרווח עם מרפסת גדולה שצופה לנוף מדהים. המארחים מקסימים. אפשר להזמין ארוחת ערב וזה פתרון מאד נוח למי שלא נייד. במתחם המרכזי יש מרפסת גדולה מול הנוף. ניתן לקחת קיאק לשייט עצמאי בנהר. מארגנים סיורים והסעות. מומלץ מאד לקחת חדר שצופה לנוף מרוחק מספר קילומטרים ממרכז העיירה. אופניים חינם אולם לא במצב טוב

• Linda (10/5): - Xuan und ihre Familie sind super nette Gastgeber. Wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles ist total entspannt. Die Unterkunft liegt im Grünen direkt am Fluss und ist dadurch eine richtige Ruheoase. Kajaks und ein SUP können jederzeit benutzt werden, ebenso Roller (gegen eine Leihgebühr) und Fahrräder stehen zur Verfügung, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Minimärkte und Restaurants sind auch fußläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten eine super Zeit und würden jederzeit kommen!
• Andre (10/5): - The family owners were so nice! They helped us book a tour, we rented a motorbike from them, and they helped us with laundry. Very eager and ready to help with anything. Also all the food they cooked was delicious. Nothing, it was perfect.
• Kamila (10/5): - Piękne miejsce, zlokalizowane nad rzeką u samego skraju parku narodowego, z daleka od miejskiego gwaru. Tutaj hałasują tylko cykady :) w pobliżu małe sklepiki z podstawowym wyposażeniem, a w zasięgu pół godzinnego spaceru większe sklepy i restauracje. Domki bardzo przyjemne, czyste, na miejscu wszystko co potrzeba. Można wynająć skuterki w rozsądnej cenie, rowery i pożyczyć kajaki. W ramach śniadań oferowane jest menu z kilkoma pozycjami, spróbowaliśmy większości opcji i każda była pyszna. Duży plus za brak sztywnych pór serwowania. Można też zamówić domowe posiłki w ramach obiadu czy kolacji. Pani gospodarz jest bardzo przyjazna, miła i pomocna. Przybyliśmy na miejsce dość późno wieczorem a i tak zostaliśmy powitani ciepło i z uśmiechem. W dniu wyjazdu mieliśmy autobus wieczorem, a i tak mogliśmy zostawić bagaże na cały dzień i nawet wziąć prysznic przed podróżą.

• Laurence (10/5): What an incredible property and host - This was a lovely property sit situated just outside of the village center. Located on the river with a beach. Free use of bikes, paddle board and kayaks . We had a lovely room that looked out over the river with a big porch . It was in great shape . Most of all, we enjoyed the owner,Son, and her children. Son was so sweet and helpful. I had a couple of issues come up that I was having trouble with because of the language barrier. Son stepped in and help me solve my problems. My main problem was losing my wallet on my way there. Not only did she help me communicate with the driver and where I thought I left it, but offered to let me pay once I got back to the states if I didn’t have enough money. What an incredible lady. The only negative was that the equipment, the bicycles and paddle board could’ve been in better shape.

• Karen (10/5): Fabulous! - Xuan and her family were fabulous. The view from the terrace is wonderful and you can swim in the river. Free bikes get you into town easily. Everything was perfect.
• Luke (9/5): - The place is beautiful, the views absolutely unmatched. The location is a little further out but it provides a lot of peace and a chance to unwind. The room was big and clean ( so was the whole Property) and although we left for 2 days to do a caving tour I felt assured no one entered the room while we were gone, although you’re in a homestay we still had privacy and felt we could come and go easily. The breakfast provided was good and there’s bikes and kayaks provided free of charge. The owner organised us a scooter which unfortunately had some issues, she immediately swapped it with her own personal scooter which was so convenient and kind. Now, no one works harder then the owner she makes herself constantly abailable, is super welcoming and makes sure your every need is covered, her family is beautiful and everyone meets you with a smile. The only negative is the beds, they are rock hard and impossible to sleep on, we had 3 nights there and had very little sleep. The beds.

When we used the provided address on booking.com it took us to the wrong place, when we found it eventually with the sign outside, I pinned it on my maps.

• Savannah (9/5): Beautiful mountain and river views from the comfort of your bed! - Perfect views, easy access & amazingly comfy bed. The view of the pristine river and mountain is unbeatable. Most people stay closer to the town, but I’ve been to phong Nha 3 times and always choose this area simply for the views & locals. Rent a bike, do the caves yourself & don’t miss the suspension bridges near dark cave. Literally the best views! It’s a Homestay, don’t go into it thinking it’s the Four Seasons. It’s perfectly cozy! No problems, just typical jungle things.

• Michael (10/5): Hope to return one day. - Beautiful little Homestay managed by Xuan and her wonderful extended family whom we got to meet. She can arrange just about anything you need, short tours, 4 day tours, car into town. Speak to her before you lock yourself into a caving trek. PS the colour of the river is brown because a typhoon had just came through earlier and brought a lot of silt and sand.
• Gustavo (9/5): Superb - The room was really nice, the place is calm and quiet with a good view of the river. It’s a bit far from the town, but with a motorbike takes around 5-10min. The host is friendly and helpful with tours and bus tickets. The motorbikes they get are a bit old and not in great shape, it’s easy to get another one around though.

We had some wonderful tours to the caves that our host. helped organizing for us. Vi were hopeing to go biking in the area, but the bikes were too old, it was somewhat disappointing.

• Greta (7/5): Cozy apartment - Good and easy communication, beautiful surroundings and view from room, good AC and fan, we have small issue with scooter we rent at apartment and owner fix it in like 5 minutes by providing new scooter Unfortunately we had difficulties with our laundry at the place as once we gave it for owner to wash it something did not went good there as all white clothes became darker and some clothes became shorter after drying machine. We have showed this to owner and asked to try fix if possible so white clothes were washed out again to white color but one set I just bought couple of days ago in Hoi an was destroyed as it became short as for a child so would skip laundry service next time.

• Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were so helpful! Cute place. Nice breakfast. The view of the river from the "restaurant area" was so pretty, It's a bit off from the center which makes it more pretty, and the owners help us rent a scooter which made everything more convenient. No shower curtain. I would not recommend booking transport via the owners as we arrived much later than promised and the state/version of the bus was bad. It might as well have been the fault of the transport company, either way, better to check everything yourselves.

• Rebecca (6/5): Nice view but very basic - The view of the river is stunning and there is a nice bar/dining area to enjoy this view from. The room was advertised as having a view of the river which it didn’t and was also quite basic, lacking a fridge for instance. The host wasn’t always visible though I think was always around. The property was very far (45 min walk) from town. It rained one evening as we had to get someone in a bar to phone someone to get us as there were no grabs available, an expensive option.
• Rakhal (10/5): Epic view!!! - The view is absolutely epic!!! Almost all of the other hotels on the river have a view of crappy looking cement houses on the other side but Little Rock is far enough away that the view is amazing!! Honestly the view is reason enough to stay there. The staff was very nice and they contacted me to arrange a ride from the airport for a very reasonable price. Bed was hard, the motorbikes we rented were old and in bad shape. We ended up getting better ones in town.
• Alex (10/5): Amazing place - Lovely comfortable room and bathroom with good AC. Amazing view and location right next to the river - it was so nice to swim and kayak from the property. It’s a little bit further out so you’ll need a bike or moped to get into town for restaurants.

• Georgia (9/5): Stunning location. - The location is phenomenal and the view from the terrace is beautiful. It is a short drive out of the centre but that was not an issue for us. Host is wonderful and picked us up on arrival despite 2 hour bus delay. I loved watching the kingfishers on the river. We didn’t realise we needed to turn on the hot water so ended with cold showers on the first night after a day of jungle trekking in the rain. But gloriously hot on the second night!!

• Lea (9/5): Great view, great value, great host - Very nice location (you need a scooter or bike), amazing host (and arranged for us to be picked up from and brought us to the bus), beautiful view, food and drinks available, bikes for free, motorbike rental, quiet area! Would come back! Bed a little hard but expected in Vietnam
• Miles (10/5): Peaceful stay by the lake with excellent host - From start to finish, was excellent service. Host picked us up from town/where coaches drop you at a time that suited us and dropped us off at the end of stay.. Very good communication on whatsapp. She helped me when I was sick by giving me ginger and lemon grass tea which helped! Very kind. View was amazing and very peaceful location. Tasty breakfast. Rooms Very clean and nice. Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay near the lake, is a quiet location and would require a cycle/scooter to the main town. Nothing!

• Julie (10/5): Amazing views - Great little place just outside of town but sat on the river with spectacular views. Xuan picked us up from the town and was so lovely and attentive the whole time we were there, we even extended our stay as loved it so much. Would highly recommend
• Joe (10/5): Amazing homestay with amazing owner - Xuân was great, she collected us from the bus drop off late at night, she arranged scooter rentals for us, advised us on what activities to do and how to get to them. She let us use a room after we'd checked out to shower and change before dropping us back off at the bus stop and pointing out a restraunt that was open late where we could sit, have a drink and use the bathrooms until the bus arrived. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as we'd hoped so we didn't get to take advantage of the amazing location on the river but it was an excellent stay regardless!
• Cheyne (10/5): Beautiful people. No qualms - The location for swimming and river activities was great. A quick 10 minute bicycle into the centre. Rooms were clean and the staff for service and the restaurant were great and very helpful! Only negative would be just needs thicker pillows, but that’s personal preference. Amazing place and amazing people. Would stay again!
• Gordon (9/5): Wonderful homestay for a great price - The homestay owner was especially friendly and helpful, and professional. She helped us book our bus to Hue and book a trip. She let us use her bike to get into town to go for dinner and gave us a free ride to the bus when we were leaving. I would go back to Little Rock Any time.
• Tj56 (8/5): Chill by the river, enjoy the breakfast, do the tours - just enjoy the place - Xuan is wonderful. She does everything and makes sure your time there is great. Place is a little away from town so she drops and collects you wherever you want in town. Breakfast is great and sitting by the river is perfect. The rooms are large and comfortable. Just relax and enjoy your stay. Mattress is a little hard for my taste but most all in Vietnam have been for the last 2 weeks. Cupboard is basic but you have space to work around that. Shower can run low if you stay too long in it - justs need adjusting.

• Julie (9/5): Really lovely home stay at a good price - Lovely setting by the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast options. Free bicycles to get into town. Good price for moped hire. Location is slightly out of town, about 45 minute walk but with free bike rental it takes just 10 minutes

• Giulia (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing experience at Little Rock Homestay! The location is right at the end of the main road so very quiet and peaceful, overlooking the river. Rooms are clean and spacious. Xuan was great, a friendly and kind host, she picked us up at arrival and helped with scooter rental and bus tickets purchase. Since we had a night bus, she even gave us a late check out! At the property is also available laundry service and food (the pancakes for breakfast were delicious and big portion!). It was sad to have to leave. We totally recommend this homestay! -
