• Nalin (10/5): - Everything. It’s was all we wanted, surrounded by nature and so quite you cold only hear the birds., except from when the neighbors played music haha. We didn’t want to leave, we stayed 2 nights. The breakfast was good! It was like we were there alone even though the other rooms were rented also. We were lucky and got the finest room with a big balcony. Definitely coming back to Rancho Verde again.

Een prachtige verborgen plek met een adembenemend uitzicht. Als je op zoek bent naar rust en ontspanning, dan zit je hier helemaal goed. Andy en Ellen geven je direct een warm welkom en zorgen ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Het ontbijt was fantastisch en we werden zelfs uitgenodigd om ’s avonds mee te eten tegen een kleine vergoeding – supergezellig én ontzettend lekker. De gastvrijheid en de sfeer maakten ons verblijf extra bijzonder. Wij raden Cortijo Rancho Verde absoluut aan en komen hier graag nog eens terug! Dat we weg moesten, hadden graag langer gebleven 😊
• Demi (9/5): Een idyllische plek, omringd door de natuur en in gezelschap van een warme gastheer en -vrouw - Mooie kamer, heerlijk ontbijt, vriendelijk onthaal, de rust van de omgeving. Hoewel de locatie erg mooi is, niet handig als uitvalbasis voor omliggende steden.

• Martínez (10/5): - Muy agradables los dueños , explicación de 10 acerca de las instalaciones. No les falta detalle. Lo recomiendo si quieres desconectar y estar en plena montaña. Lo único la piscina tenía muchos bichitos pero eso es normal no diría que no me gustó , al final estás al aire libre y es totalmente comprensible. EDDIE se ofreció a limpiarla, son muy majos.

• Artem (10/5): Superb accommodation in the Andalucian mountains - We had an unforgettable stay at this villa! The location is fantastic, nestled in nature with fresh, clean air and breathtaking views, especially from the balcony room. Lovely Ellen & Andy were extremely friendly and responsive, reaching out in advance and preparing us well for our arrival. They were always available to answer any questions or fulfill any needs we had. The tidiness and design of the place are impeccable, providing a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. The pool was a lifesaver during the hot days, complete with a bar that always had cold drinks on offer. The beds were comfortable, and the room essentials met all our needs. Highly recommend this villa for a serene getaway! The villa is located 44 minutes away from Malaga by car. Its position enables you to travel to different cities in Andalucia as it's conveniently situated in the middle with good access to roads. The owners have lovely and friendly pets, so the dogs may bark occasionally. Also, just a heads up for those staying in the balcony room - there's no kitchen or fridge, so make sure you plan your meals ahead. However, the owners will provide you with all the necessary utensils for use in the bar area.
• Robert (6/5): It will be nice to stay during winter months, without air conditioning is not ideal for summer vacation - Clean water in the pool, design of the room No air conditioning, no door to bathroom, accept only cash, check out at 11:00, you have to take your garbage out, 3 barking dogs, just behind the main road
• Pedro (10/5): A perfect place for holidays or just relaxing a while or even work remotely. - Place is wonderful. A peace oasis in the middle of Axarquia. Nice place, very clean, very convenient, Andy and Ellen are great people, very cozy. A must for relaxing, for just staying, for not doing nothing or for working away from the crowd.
• Ruth (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished — the owners clearly have an eye for detail and have put a lot of thought into decorating the place. The kitchen was well-equipped, and so was the bathroom. Since we were there in winter we didn't use the outside / pool area as much but it looked really nice, too. It's certainly a lovely place especially in the warmer months of the year. The location is great for hiking and has a fantastic scenery. We stayed there for four nights during a cold and very windy week, with night temperatures dropping close to 0 degrees Celsius. Even though it said on booking.com that the apartment would have heating, we learned upon arrival that the only source of heat is a wood stove (which we initially believed was a nice add-on and not the only way to heat the apartment). The owners offered to sell us firewood for 20€ per bucket, which lasted about 2 nights and then we had to buy a second one. They were so kind to heat it up during the evening of our arrival and another evening when we arrived back late. With the amount of wood, the stove only provided heat for a couple of hours each night — by the morning, the inside temperatures had dropped again to a very uncomfortable and even unhealthy 8-10 degrees and would stay like this during the day. The wood stove could also only heat the main area, not the bedroom and bathroom. When we asked for a space heater for the bathroom due to the cold temperatures, we were given one but with asked to not use it for long because it would be too expensive. We brought up the heating issue when we checked out but the owners didn't seem to grasp the problem and still charged us for the firewood, even though no alternative heating was avaliable. From our point of view, this additional cost should be made transparent during the booking process — avoiding it is not really an option in winter. It really is a shame because this is most likely a lovely place in the summer but too expensive for the low level of comfort it provides in the winter.
• Radha (8/5): Well equipped accommodation with a lovely pool and view. - Lovely property, quiet location. The owners had several pets- lovely to meet them outside in the garden. Sadly this isn’t the case when you are confronted with a large dog that lets its self in ( unless you lock your front door) and chews at your clothing in the bedroom. It was a backward situation for the dog was being playful but not a pleasant experience.

• Rowena (9/5): Superb - Personal service and the look and feel of the house. The owners do their upmost to give you a relaxed and luxurious feeling. The house and bar outside is really a picture. Nothing,only tip for guests in the winter us to bring some indoorfootware with you. But everything was really great.
