• Karen (1/5): Very disappointed stay - Spacious, central location to ormskirk No bathroom products, the mattress in the second bedroom needs replacing and the pillows in both bedrooms have lost their firmness. Had a very disappointing sleep due to the mattress and pillows was not refreshed after staying here

Bottle of wine left in fridge was a nice gesture. Fridge had not been cleaned properly so smelt badly. Bins not empty on arrival. Several light bulbs not working. En-suite shower head not great.

• Alan (9/5): Very close to perfect, great communicative host and a beautiful apartment. - The property is perfectly located for visiting Edgehill University where our daughter is studying, the rooms are fantastic and the facilities spot on. There were spiders in every corner of the bathrooms and plenty of webs, appreciate that this is a property with high ceilings but this needs addressing as it just takes away from the magnificence of the rest of the property. The 2nd bedroom has no working lights.

• Allison (5/5): Lovely accommodation. Great location but needs a more thorough clean and repairs needed. - Great location. Easy access into town . Accommodation was beautifully light ,airy and quite. At first glance the property is lovely. However we did come across quite a few problems. There was a noticeable amount of cobwebs in every room. I had to clean away the cob webs directly above our bed which had dead insects in it. The main bedroom headrest was broken and had been left on the floor behind the back of the bed. Therefore the metal bar which the headrest would have sat on was exposed. I unfortunately banged and bruised my head on this during the night. It would have been useful to have a mirror in the main ensuite bathroom for my husband to be able to shave easily. The fridge when opened gave a strong odd odour. Rug along hall was quite a hazard as it kept curling up so easy to trip over.

• Mrs (8/5): Ormskirk weekend - My husband and I decided to take our daughter for a weekend outing in a new town. As a full-time Sister in a busy Cardiac Unit and single mother of 2 children with 'teens' issues, we thought a night away would be relaxing for us all. We booked the Upmarket Apartment in Ormskirk for our treat and are glad we did. Anne Marie could not have been more welcoming. She was at the gate to greet us and give us a quick tour which clearly showed her thoughtfulness. The kitchen was well equipped and supplied not only with hot and cold drinks and milk, but also dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Beds were made and towels provided. The details given on booking.com did not include the en-suite shower room which was, therefore, a nice surprise, enabling occupants of each bedroom to use the facilities without queuing. The whole apartment is tastefully decorated and spacious and we had a very pleasant and peaceful stay. No hairdryer No bedside table in 2nd bedroom
