Guest Reviews
- John (8/5): - Modern bathroom with a great shower.
Had all the facilities needed in the kitchen. Unfortunately the neighbour refurbishing his cottage during the day and using his garden as a skip didn't help me to sleep or help with parking ( I was working nights and would have liked to park outside the property).
- Michael (7/5): - It was clean and tidy, the TV and WiFi were excellent, bathroom and shower and kitchen facilities were good. The location was quiet I thought the bed was a bit low and not very comfortable
- Bainbridge (10/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Josukutty (9/5): -
- kevin (7/5): -
- Paul (9/5): -
- Lucy (4/5): - Nicely decorated throughout The toilet blocked, dirty washing left under the sofa and in the washing machine, single bed had a dip in the middle of it and inside of oven not cleaned
- Grzegorz (10/5): Nice location -
- Janet (6/5): overall ok - bedding, looked dirty.
- Jiby (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Home from home. Everything you need N/A
- mandy (9/5): - A lovely, quiet, uncluttered house. Very easy to find and being able to park easily is a huge bonus!
I will definitely come back if I return to the area.
- Olayinka (8/5): Nice place and lovely atmosphere to relax - A wonderful host and lovely serene.
- Mersedes (9/5): Very good stay - It was a big space for 2 people really comfortable The shower didn’t drain quickly I thought the water was going to go over the edge
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - The property had everything you could possibly want and everything worked perfectly. I have stayed in a few different options in the South Wales region, and this was arguably the best. Only very minor issue was that the Sat Nav took us to the back of the property which is up a very uneven road half way up a mountain which in the dark was not a lot of fun, trying to turn around.
- Harley (5/5): Small and nice , but bedroom let it down - Kitchen and lounge area, clean, modem and organised. Double is bed was small, bedroom bare basic no bedside tables or wardrobe, there is rail provided though
- Ioan (7/5): Good - Easy to find, key safe worked well. Walking distance of station. Good parking outside. Fine for a short break, clean and functional. As others have said, some easy fixes would have gained a higher rating such as a dishwasher (no point at all having a washing machine if there's no dryer or drying space). Also some more cutlery and towels for a week's stay perhaps.
- Roberts (8/5): Basic but comfortable - Very clean. Lovely and quiet area, though we initially were sent up a dirt track by the Sat Nav! All basic equipment provided, microwave was very useful. Beds were comfortable and WiFi was good. We would stay in again The facilities were basic, would have liked a coffee table in the lounge and bedside lights. As we go to bed and get up at different times the position of the double didn't work for us as it would mean the other party would get disturbed so we had to use both beds.
- Jak (10/5): Clean, comfy, private accommodation! - Clean, modern, comfy
- Goodwin (10/5): 10/10 - Cosy Modern cottage with character. The owner left an information sheet on the table with local eateries, venues and emergency services contact numbers and locations. loved waking up looking out to the Valley's, tiniest garden which has great character with ferns and wild plants and a traditional stone wall facing inwards. I left the backdoor open most of the time for the fresh air and the aroma of wild plants and morning dew and felt safe doing so, who needs a big garden when you have plenty of space and countryside in the Valleys? Beautiful little village surrounded by hills and mountains to walk around, and the local folk were super friendly. The feel of the property was great i loved it, cosy and clean and very peaceful as it's tucked out of the way in a cul da sac just off the main road. If you're looking for a peaceful weekend and an easy commute to Cardiff and want the outer city stay and the traditional feel of a Welsh Valley then I'd certainly recommend this property.
- Michelle (10/5): Very happy time, location quite and easy to find host very responsive to questions & couldn’t have been more helpful - Compact but everything you needed Shower could drain quicker
- Shell (7/5): It was a pleasent stay - Finer detail could of been paid to the cleaning.
The gas broke on the second day but was quickly fixed
- Rodney (8/5): Exceelent - The location was excellent. The house was just what we wanted and needed. The instructions on how to get to the property should have been sent sooner.
- Mathew (10/5): Host was very responsive and our stay was exactly as advertised. Thank you. - Very modern and clean.
- Terry (10/5): Perfect. - Very clean. Very cosy. All essentials are at the property making it very comfortable to live. Cook, clean. Nice views.
Would definitely return. No constructive or negative feedback.
- Luc (9/5): Superb -
- Courtney (4/5): Unclean, cold and not a nice area - To try and give this place some positives -
Shower was decent, good water pressure.
Wi-Fi was fine.
Very inexpensive for the size of the property.
Array of cutlery and utensils, in the kitchen.
Good amount of space for two people. Not cleaned well, there was some kind of animal hair on the table and chairs, on the sheets, window sill in the bedroom and living room. Also stains in the toilet that were covered at first with toilet cleaner.
It was freezing when we first arrived, took over a day with the heating on full to be a decent temperature, we kept the heating on the whole stay as the heat was not retained very well. The kitchen floor was freezing even with the heating on.
It was advertised with parking but there was two cars outside the property the whole weekend so we had to park wherever we could find a space. The area itself is not great, was worried our car would be damaged, thankfully it was fine.
The double and single beds are almost touching, I personally wouldn’t find this a big enough space for 3 people. There was a rack for clothes and no other storage at all.
“Cottage” is a bit of an overstatement. It is a one bed terraced house in a not so nice part of the town. I now know why there were no external photos of the property. The photo attached is not much different to how it is now. The entry is just bland with stones up to the steps
Stains on the sheets and sofa. Overall very unpleasant and disappointing stay.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - The sat nav took me up a farm track behind the house and parking was limited as others parked Infront of the property.
- Grzegorz (10/5): i’m glad staying there, i will be happy back there again - super apartment, i stayed there not first time, but i’m always happy when i travel there only my personal opinion, i don’t like carpet. it will be perfect if the floor were everywhere like in the living room
- Grzegorz (10/5): i hope i will back there again - all very good
- Grzegorz (10/5): definitely i want back there, perfect apartment - very good wi-fi, netflix, it will perfect if dishwasher will be there
- Michaud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yohan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deidre (7/5): Good - Very clean. Great shower. Not enough towels. No hand towels or towelling bath mat. Television didn't get live TV .. No milk provided.
- Marisa (9/5): Superb -
- Yahampath (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness, location. Not enough towels, nowhere to dry washing, not enough kitchen utensils eg. bowl, large saucepan.
- Harries (8/5): Terraced house - Very very clean and modern Beds too soft, no bed side lights - bed was up against the wall so we needed separate beds
No draws for our clothes.
Could hardly get through the beds to open the curtains and hang our clothes.
- Bernadette (7/5): A lovely stay - The house was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The shower room was lovely. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. It could do with a little more, a coffee table would be nice below the TV, a washing machine there but no laundry detergent, no washing up liquid either. It's not a big deal but it would have been nice.
- Alistair (7/5): Good - Quiet location. Shower tray blocked
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - lovely and spacious ms clean. it was advertised as having a garden. well there is definitely no garden there at all and comes under 2 bedrooms it’s not it’s just 1 bedroom with a single and a double
- Denise (8/5): lovely little house, it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. - loved the location as it was only 40 minutes to Cardiff and 50 minutes to Brecon Beacons. it had a nice little town 5-10 minutes walk away if you needed anything. nothing I didn’t like.
- Martin (8/5): Great value for money - Value for money, clean, dog friendly
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Exactly what we was looking for whilst visiting relatives, very quiet and peaceful and a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub Nothing
