Guest Reviews
- Doris (7/5): - The place was very clean and neat. Parking was not a problem at all. There were good snacks to nibble on (My son was particularly happy about those). The host was very receptive. There was no proper fridge to keep food or drink. The place just had a tiny little cold box that couldn't hold a tropicana juice bottle. A small table top fridge with a little freezer compartment will do to enhance the kitchen quality of the place.
- Shauna (10/5): - I loved the whole experience whilst i was there. I booked later on in the day and even though i booked late the hosts were absolutely amazing. They were really undedstanding and patient with me and they worked at top speed to ensure my room was ready for me as quickly as possible they were absolutely amazing
- Wendy (8/5): -
- Dick (2/5): Very bad - Clean Space, very small bed, no chair, no space for clothes, no heating in bathroom. Noisy, barking dogs.
- Matt (8/5): - The hosts were very nice and the place was perfect for my needs No complaints
- Charlie (9/5): Cosy & warm - Cozy haven really lived up to it's name! It was so lovely to come back to a warm comfortable space after a long day in the welsh countryside. The bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean and we were greeted to some snacks, coffee sachets and milk in the minifridge. We were given the key on arrival so we could come and go as we please. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay again! The living space is a little small and It would have been nice to have a hdmi lead handy to plug my laptop into the tv and maybe a bin for the bedroom. And the curtains for the door dont quite go down all the way to the floor so light can creep in in the morning a little bit.
- WarpedOak (10/5): - From the start communication with the Cozy Heaven was great and been informed about all key details of the stay.
Owners are great and nice people.
Cozy Heaven is a place where you can have proper rest and calm down time, feels like heaven.
Tidy and had everything that's needed for few day stay.
Highly recommended!
- Emma (10/5): Would defo come back again - The host was very polite and there was everything I needed here Nothing beautiful
- David (5/5): Not brilliant but ok - Not great ! Was ok ? Big bathroom
- Azamal (7/5): - Clean and meet my need .
- Sheila (7/5): Comfortable and convenient. - The room had its own front door. Which allowed us to come and go without disturbing anyone.
There was a great south facing view of the valley. You couldn’t see out of the window as the south facing glass doors were frosted.

- Emma (9/5): Lovely Accommodation - Very clean accommodation, kettle, microwave, crockery, cutlery. The host provided a good breakfast (porridge pots, biscuits, cookies, cappuccino sachets etc) and there was tea and coffee in the room too. The bathroom was large with a full-size bath and electric shower over the bath with good pressure and temperature. The host was friendly and helpful and there was plenty of free parking outside. The accommodation is an adjoining annex to a house in a residential area. It was excellent, room was a little small but perfectly adequate
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely welcome, lovely room with extras in a convenient location - Clean and comfortable. Fridge and microwave better than hotel room. Plus cutlery and food items that was a nice welcome. Free parking close by. Host was friendly and very helpful.
- Alex (8/5): -
- Philip (5/5): Disappointing - The accommodation was basic (We know now why there was no picture of the exterior) .
Adequate for one night, better for I person, As 4’6” bed was against the wall.
Only I set of towels were to be provided for our 3 night stay, until we asked. There was no where to hang towels to dry & no shaver point or electric toothbrush point in Bathroom. Also a high climb over the bath for the shower. Breakfast provisions on 1 st morning only !
We were told on handing back the key “the previous customers hand broken the towel rail“ but no evidence was apparent. Parking in the street outside not always easy. Everything - our mistake was to book for 3 nights ! Without seeing more pictures of the property .
We were more focused on location, to meet up, with our family boating on Llangollen Canal.
- Stuart (8/5): - Everything except the aroma mentioned below. The strong disinfectant like aroma when I first entered the property, probably an accident. it gradually wore off during the night.
- Iolo (9/5): Good value for money - Good value for money - we needed a place to sleep but didn't plan on staying long, and it was perfect for our needs. Spacious bathroom, it was almost as big as the bedroom! Complimentary snacks and drinks available as well, which was a thoughtful touch. Check-in was also effortless - we could let ourselves in late at night with a key from the lockbox without disturbing the hosts. Bedroom is a little tight for space - was fine for us, but would struggle if you had a lot of luggage!

- Helen (6/5): Disappointing. - Although the room was small, it was very clean & modern & adequate for a 2 night stay. Upon arrival, we were both surprised to learn the room was an extension on the side of the house which wasn't in the description on the website & not in a very desirable area either & to hear the neighbours effing & jeffing outside too...lovely !! The photos on the website only showed the inside of the room & bathroom & none of the exterior ! Anyhow, the facilities on offer were ok, but the one thing we didn't have was any storage space to hang our clothes so we had to make do & drape them over the side of the bath which wasn't ideal. Srangely enough, one of the photos on the website showed a mobile clothes rail so where was it for our use ! There are 4 hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels so we had to hang our jackets on them. The most bizarre thing we couldn't fathom was that we didn't see or meet our hosts once the whole time we were there. Maybe they didn't want to bother us, fair enough, but the least they could've done, given we were in their house was introduce themselves, ask if everything was alright & to shout if we needed anything but nothing, not a peep ! It was strange to hear them in the evening but didn't have a clue who they were ! We were there for 2 night's & didn't even have the refreshments replenished either. Oh well, we won't be returning & hope lessons are learnt from this moving forward for future guests.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - The cosy room was very clean, the mattress was very comfortable and the host was lovely and friendly.
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Danny (8/5): Very good -
- Trevor (10/5): Great location for visiting the area with easy parking. - Very clean. Quite newly renovated. Sandra and Stanley have done a great job. Complementary continental breakfast and snacks.
- Adrian (7/5): Quiet, good for one night. - Very clean, lovely host, quiet location, great for one night stop. Steps up to the property from the car, no slip mat or hand rail in bath.
- Arif (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (8/5): Quaint accomodating space - Quaint accomodating room with everything needed for an overnight stay
- Jenna (10/5): Stayed here for a wedding. Convenient, easy to check in and out, and bonus was having a bath tub we could use. Easy to c -
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (8/5): Clean and comfortable, good value too. - Good use of space, comfy clean rooms. Free parking. Nothing was an issue. All good.
- Deborah (8/5): Good stay! - Big bathroom, comfortable bed, close to the busstop, nice area It could have been cleaner, was a bit dusty in places. The TV didn’t work properly
- Elice (9/5): This private room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. - Very clean. Comfortable. Facilities such as microwave, kettle, small fridge (for essentials only) and clothes stand. Plenty of available street parking. Own entrances from outside so you didn’t disturb others.
- Malcolm (7/5): Brief and acceptable stay - Lovely bathroom. Location excellent for our reason for staying in the area.
- George (9/5): Smart, Neat and Tidy. - The facilities were private, with a separate entrance. Every aspect was spotlessly clean, tasteful decor and an excellent bathroom and shower. Bed was comfortable and linen emaculate. Excellent long mirror and good lighting.
Thoughtful additions, breakfast, milk, bottled water, microwave, little fridge, electric jug for making tea. A television with multiple channels.
A very quiet environment with friendly welcoming hosts. Bedroom space was a bit restricting, especially if 2 staying. There wasn't much room for a chair, except maybe a foldable one. By contrast the bathroom was very spacious, modern with an excellent shower. Not obvious display of Wi-Fi code and password. I arrived late so didn't want to bother the hosts, if I had stayed longer I would have asked for the information.
However, so much else was top quality. Particularly suitable for a single traveller. The hosts were charming and very welcoming. I would recommend this accommodation; especially for a single traveller.
- Peter (9/5): Well equipped, responsive host - The drinks and snacks were plentiful, good quality, and nice big bathroom was great. Hosts are very responsive and easy to talk to Nothing worth complaining about
- Giovanna (9/5): Superb -
- James (7/5): Nice for a one night stay close to Llangollen - Nice and clean, and comfortable bed. Close to Llangollen and the local canal/ aqueduct. The room was a bit smaller than I thought, also would be nice to have some shower gell available in the shower to use.
- Ann (7/5): Annexe in great location for sightseeing. - Friendly host with very good communication. The room is an annexe on a house on a housing estate. However, it does not overlook any other property and has lovely views. It is a perfect location for visiting Llangollen, the acquaduct, Chirk castle and many other places of interest.
The bed was comfortable to sleep in an clean linen and towels.
Breakfast box and milk were provided. I expected it to be small, but it was even smaller than expected. We were only there one night for a stop over. I wouldn't have liked to stay longer with the size of it. There were no chairs, and it was uncomfortable sitting on the bed as the headboard was a low metal frame and not against the wall.
Electric shower with plenty of hot water but no hot water for a bath. (It was just lukewarm)
The curtains on the French door were about 1ft too short, so we were awake at 6am with the sun shining through.
Steep steps up to the house and a few high steps into the annexe which may be difficult for some people.
I will add that we are senior citizens and younger people would possibly find it easier to negotiate.
- Peter (8/5): Compact and clean. Walk to nearby pub. - Convenient location.
Compact and clean.
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Everything you need for a comfortable night away - Comfortable bed; generously stocked with drinks, breakfast items and biscuits; all the plates, glasses, cutlery, etc that you’d need.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Ace place! - We were warmly welcomed! The space was spotlessly clean! The bathroom is spacious with a deep bath and powerful shower over it. The goodie basket of refreshments hit the spot after being on the road. Location was perfect for walking to the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct and surrounding area, which is why we came to visit. The nearby Tesco was handy for our picnic. Cozy Haven was a very quiet place to rest. Thanks so much Sandra and Stanley!
- Monde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chokshi (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful place and facilities. Supportive host There was nothing that I didn't like
- Jinglin (10/5): The place is lovely and Sandra and Stanley were very welcoming. -
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional - I love the little hamper they provided. It was spotless and welcoming. Nothing
- John (9/5): Excellent accommodation, warm clean and comfortable - Warm, comfortable, very clean
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional - Location was prefect for me as I was visiting my son who lived on the next road. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water, also porridge pot, cereal and biscuits supplied, very nice touch. Host lady very friendly and welcoming.
- Denise (10/5): Really enjoyed staying there and I would recommend it. - The location was perfect for me as I was visiting my son who lives two roads away. The basket with breakfast food in was a nice touch, plus the extras. Plenty of cups and plates etc, tea, coffee, sugar even milk and water in the mini fridge. Somewhere to actually hang your clothes up, full length mirror and a hair dryer. You literally could not ask for more. I went when the temperature was -2 and snow but the room was lovely and warm. The steps outside the door leading up to the room could of been a bit wider.
- Marek (10/5): Nice place to take a break - Needed a nice place away from home and stay here for the night. Was very clean, smelt nice and love the fresh flower. The host was very welcoming. Sorry for eating all the goodies in the basket, LOL.
- Arten (10/5): Clean comfortable and cozy - The property is immaculate and smelled nice plus felt really comfortable and cozy plus the huge en suite The cleanliness and immaculate decorations
- Malaika (7/5): Good -
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Was quiet, had everything needed, clean lovely hosts
- David (1/5): Dirty bed - Bed wasn't clean, looked like it had been slept in already, all creased. People's hairs on and under the sheets.
- Susan (3/5): Poor - VERY difficult to find. VERY difficult to find
- Polverino (2/5): Very poor - Nothing to like It was not private at all
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (7/5): Excellent thx Stanley! - This property was just what I required & Stanley was helpful but not intrusive! Parking was easy & the location was ideal for connections. Could maybe have done with a chair for completing some work.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- April (10/5): A very comfortable stay! - The property was very clean and had everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep. The little welcome pack was a nice touch. Stanley and Sandra were very friendly and great hosts, they even very kindly took me to the wedding venue which was down the road.
Thanks so much for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend. N/A
- Denise (7/5): Lovely one night stay - Location and room was good ..bathroom was spacious.. lots of breakfast bits tea, coffee etc which was a nice touch Bed we felt was a bit small but okay for one night..
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Good clear communication with host and we were able to check in late. Property was clean and had everything we needed.
- Wyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): A great place to stay - The accommodation was excellent clean, warm and very comfortable.
Sandra and Stanley have added a very personal touch to bedroom and bathroom with the added bonus of a microwave in the room and a breakfast selection.
Plenty of parking space on street no restriction
I’d certainly stay here again if available when passing the area. Nothing
- Hayley (10/5): Great accommodation highly recommended thank you - This was a beautiful room and bathroom that had everything we needed for a 2 night stay whilst we went canoeing and hiking in Llangollen
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - This was a lovely place to stay, very friendly, great views and wonderful dog walks nearby. The self contained bedroom and bathroom were perfect for mine and my dogs needs. Thank you very much.
- Caron58 (7/5): Economical small double - Hosts go the extra mile, milk in the fridge, bottles of water, cereals, biscuits, all unexpected.
Fresh flowers, very clean and bright.
Large bath and overhead shower.
.TV on the wall, free wifi if you need it.
Close to Trevor basin, aquaduct, Viaduct, If I was to think of anything the bed was too small for us, perfect for the size of the room with everything you need for a couple of nights.
Also 2 steps made of decking going into the extension room, which is the accommodation they are fairly high.
These are personal things, if i was in my 20s/ 30s they wouldn't bother me.
- Lee (10/5): One of the best breaks ever - . Brilliant Location, lovely walks on your doorstep, pubs and really nice restaurant ( The Delph Bar and Restaurant ) which is worth a visit
. Room was clean, were left some treats which was nice. Smallish but enough for a couple of nights
. Good size bathroom, decent shower and bath too
. Host was very nice, polite and made us feel very welcome
- Elke (10/5): Tip top - Nice welcome and really a fantastic room and bath. Thanks very much for that cozy haben on earth!
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - Close to heritage attractions, clean and fresh accommodation
- Megan (6/5): Did the job but could have done with a little more space. - We were attending a wedding at Tower Hill barns and this room was very close, we walked there in 20 minutes. The host had kindly provided breakfast and snacks. The room was very clean and the bathroom quite large. The bed is very small and it’s an awkward layout but I’m not sure they could do any better with the size of the room they have. Although clean, the host had just mopped the floor, leaving the floor very wet which was quite inconvenient for us.
- Nichola (10/5): Nice - Very friendly, room was clean and fresh. Small but very comfortable The interconnecting door to the main house needs a lock on it.
- Tess (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (8/5): A nice stay - The room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice mix of snacks and drinks, with everything you needed. Sandra was very welcoming and had clearly thought carefully about what you might need. Bathroom was great. It was easy to reach local attractions. The room was a little smaller than expected, and while there was a microwave, kettle and snacks there was nowhere to really put anything. There was a door through to Sandra's house and so I was conscious that I could hear them, and probably they me.. but Sandra and family were very quiet.
- Howard (7/5): Good - Easy to find, bathroom nice and big with a very deep bath. Bed uncomfortable and only one pillow each
- Sarah (4/5): After long hours of travel I didn't have a good nights sleep due to noise and lack of airflow - Parking available out the front. Large bathroom. Bed directly in front of access via french doors, which faced out towards the road so though it was hot I didn't feel safe enough to keep the door open. Limited room around the bed and no area to sit other than on the bed. The room was an extension at the end of a terrace house in an estate, with thin walls and a connecting door which adjoined their front door access, hallway and what sounded like a kitchen - so all the noise next door felt like it was happening in the room - including an 11.30pm return of the family, and an early morning argument - I left early - without having seen or spoken with the owners.
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, clean and cosy room.
Lovely big bathroom with plenty of hot water. Easy access to Llangollen just a short drive down the road.
Located on an estate with views from the french doors. Easy street parking.
We had our dog with us and he was really welcomed! The hosts were a lovely family. At the end of our stay they had set off for a day out and I had accidentally locked my car keys in the room. They didn't hesitate to come back to sort the problem out! Thank you so much. 😊🐕🐾💕 The bed was a bit small for us but that's just because we're used to a king-size.
- Tünde (3/5): Thank you for the stay . - Looks cozy at first sight. Adjacent to a housing estate, no soundproofing.
Ring motion sensor in the room.
- Anna (8/5): Nice clean room attached to hosts house - Nice room, very hot night but there was a fan! Breakfast is in a basket, instant oats, biscuits etc. Tea and coffee with milk in a mini fridge.Crockery and cutlery provided.
On a housing estate which wasnt quite expected. Lovely friendly host but a bit of confusion over charge for room. Dogs were welcomed. Property immaculate. Great bath, loads of hot water.
Bedroom very compact but nicely done
. Had to eat in bed!
- Jenna-jean (10/5): July - Lovely little place, ideal for the night. Exactly what we wanted for the night. 5 min drive from llangollen. I found the bed pretty uncomfortable and could do with some extra pillows. The TV was very temperamental (this didn't affect our stay as we only slept there)
- Holloway (9/5): Superb - Great value; everything I needed; good night of football at the pub down the road.
- Harkirat (9/5): Superb - Perfect for me....thankyou
- Patrycja (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely room, close to local shops and not far from town. Very comfortable bed, fresh sheets and towels. Room was lovely decorated with fresh flowers. Very clean bedroom and bathroom. Bonus points for free tea/coffee, milk and cereal. Highly recommend.
- Kim (10/5): Excellent value for money. - The accommodation was exceptionally clean, lovely touches like fresh flowers, toiletries, milk, tea and coffee facilities, and a small breakfast hamper.
Sandra and her daughter Mia were lovely, so friendly and caring.
Short drive to Llangollen. Nothing
