The food was very good and the staff at the bar/beach/swimming pool were friendly and knowledgeable. There was an issue with our reservation but the manager made it right during check out.

- Toruño (7/5): El lugar y la comida son muy buenos, pero la calidad de la atención no está a la altura - Siempre está limpio, es cómodo, el menú es pequeño pero la comida es divina. La vista es bella, excelente ubicación frente al mar. La atención deja mucho que desear. La primera impresión de cualquier lugar la dan las chicas de recepción y el personal en general, y lamentablemente en nuestras cinco visitas nunca hemos recibido un trato cálido; esta última experiencia fue incluso peor. Percibimos poca disposición de servicio: rostros poco amables, falta de seguimiento a nuestras consultas y solicitudes, y una atención en general distante. Además, el masaje debía pagarse únicamente en efectivo —no aceptaban tarjeta, transferencia ni cargo a la habitación— y esto no se nos informó con anticipación. Como resultado, después del “masaje de relajación” tuvimos que salir a buscar efectivo al pueblo, lo cual fue bastante incómodo. Durante la noche, aceptaron nuevos huéspedes y el ruido fue considerable. Intentamos comunicarnos por WhatsApp para solicitar que moderaran el volumen, pero no obtuvimos respuesta ni tampoco una disculpa al día siguiente. Para finalizar, hubo un error en la cuenta del restaurante: pagamos al momento del check-out y horas después nos llamaron indicando que se habían equivocado. Aunque realizamos el pago correspondiente, este tipo de situaciones refuerza la percepción de desorganización y falta de atención al detalle. Entendemos que pueden tener alta demanda, pero como huéspedes uno espera una experiencia agradable y un servicio acorde, especialmente en un entorno pensado para el descanso. Lamentablemente, en este caso no lo están logrando.

La salsa del curry, definitivamente, si es posible, quitarla del menu, es muy muy mala. Tambien, se fue la luz y nos quedamos sin A/C. Ademas, a las 8pm del dia de mi alojamiento, me preguntaron si iba a llegar, y ya tenia 12 horas de estar ahi, hice check in y habia consumido bastante. La organizacion y proactividad en revisar y actualizar sus sistemas es malisimo. Los trabajadores no pueden trabajar como equipo o el supervisor (si tienen), necesita mejorar muchisimo
- Elisabet (9/5): Beautiful hotel in stunning location - The location right on the beach is pure heaven. The staff was friendly, welcoming and service minded. A couple of small issues were dealt with immediately. We stayed in two different rooms and they were both good with comfortable beds and tasteful decor. WiFi was good, though you must be in the right location in the hotel for it to work. Music was played randomly and sometimes quite loud. Could be any time of day. It was sometimes difficult to just have a relaxing time. I would be happy to go back but I would not book the rooms facing the pool & the sea for this reason.

- Argo (10/5): True oceanfront experience in the boutique hotel - It’s a true beachfront hotel, and my room on the first floor had a pool view — but I could also see the ocean, which was an amazing surprise. Yes, it’s one of the more expensive hotels in Las Peñitas, but absolutely worth it in my opinion. I chose it for the direct beach access — just a few steps and you’re on the sand. Everything worked smoothly, even the food and drink invoices were accurate and easily split between our rooms. I can definitely recommend this place.

- Juan de Dios (1/5): Cobros adicionales - Personal de staff de recepción y piscina muy amable. La mala puntuación es por la acción del gerente de cobrar 10 dlls por un descorche que no se hizo. No es importante los 10 dlls sino el hecho de centavear 10 dlls después que el alojamiento no es nada barato para lo que ofrece. El Gerente ganó 10 dlls (injustificadamente) más a la ya cara estadia pero pierde un cliente. Aunque supongo valora más los 10 dlls.

- Jocelyn (9/5): Wonderful beachfront stay! - Such a beautiful spot right on the ocean! The room was gorgeous, the staff were very friendly, the food was outstanding, and the views were incredible. We were very grateful that the staff arranged activities (a boat tour, surf lessons, horseback riding and massages) and transportation to our next location for us. They also surprised us with a complimentary piece of cake for my husband and I's anniversary! We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a bit more of an upscale place :) Overall we had a wonderful stay, but we only stayed two nights since it is a bit more on the expensive side of things (although still very reasonable compared to anything similar in North America). The only other thing we struggled with a little bit was the language barrier. We were able to get by with translation apps and my limited Spanish, but I could see how this could be a bigger issue for some people. The manager speaks excellent English, but it was sometimes a bit harder to chat with the rest of the staff. Very nice people though :)

The staff was super helpful, even preparing coffee and fruit for us for our departure at 4 am. We had good service at the restaurant, and the breakfast was really good. There isn't much around the hotel but you can catch the bus right outside the hotel. Would definitely return.

The property is absolutely beautiful, with a private and intimate atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The staff was truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. The food was a solid 10/10, and the combination of the pool and the beach being just steps apart made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back.

- Anne (10/5): Not cheap, but elegant in an informal way, beautiful location and well-run. - This was my third stay at Aaki, so I was pleased that nothing had changed. Stylish in a modren-rustic way, very clean, right on the beach, good food. The only minor negative was that food can take an extraordinary amount of time to arrive -- but it was always freshly made and good quality. Best to sip a drink, relax, and listen to the waves.

- Dave (6/5): Nice place, Shane about the service from some staff. - The rooms were clean and the hotel is a lovely comfortable place to stay. Some staff on reception (Andrea) were really helpful with onward transport and making sure our stay was comfy arranging an early breakfast. The hotel did arrange for a taxi transfer for us and the hotel porter took our bags off us the moment we arrived which was nice. Some staff (pool bar and restaurant) need some customer training - quite often we had to get our own menus from the bar or ask to be served at our table. The mojito had dried mint and not fresh mint and didn’t really taste like a mojito. When we asked Andrea for an early breakfast, he asked a colleague and right in front of us she just said a blunt No with no offer to help as we were leaving early. On checking in with Andrea (he is really good) his colleague just sat there with no eye contact playing on her phone. Basically the hotel wasn’t worth the premium price it asks - there are much better value hotels in Las Penitas with much better service such as the one with the Italian restaurant up the road.
