• Michele (9/5): - The friendliness of the staff and seeing them positively Interact together. The location was great and it was easy to walk to the main attractions. The whole place was very clean and tidy. The room would benefit from some pictures on the wall and also the bedside tables were a step up and behind the bed. A bedside light would be good too. I was actually perfectly happy with the room. It was totally adequate.

• Jenny (6/5): Challenging in some respects and fabulous in others - Great location - close to the town centre. train station and tourist sites. It was great having a sitting room / seating area outside our room and we used it daily. The air conditioning was great and the bed comfortable and clean. The Jaffna Inn represents excellent value for money, has a lift which made getting luggage up and downstairs easy and the owner and manager were really helpful and kind. The dining room advertised on Booking.com was closed when we visited - we were told the chef had left. There were no tea/coffee and the jug on our floor could not be plugged into a Sri Lankan power point. Neither the sitting room area nor my room were cleaned during a stay of 4 days. I didn't have a towel rack or anywhere to hang clothing and I had a cold shower on 3 of the 4 nights I stayed - possibly because there was a master switch that I didn't know I had to turn on - I figured I must have inadvertently switched it on on the last night, Sometimes the staff member on duty spoke no English and I spoke no Tamil, so it was hard to communicate at times.

• Karl-Ernst (9/5): Ruhig inmitten des Trubels - Das sehr freundliche Personal. Der Chef spricht drei Sprachen, auch deutsch Wunderbar der Mensch, der für die Küche zuständig ist. Es macht ihm Freude, den Gästen zu servieren. Ausflug und Weiterreise wurden perfekt organisiert und schließlich: die Lage, im Zentrum und trotzdem völlig ruhig. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers war ein wenig spartanisch. Kein Stuhl, Ablagen und Haken im Bad wären zweckmäßig. Allerdings kann man vor den Zimmern schön und gepolstert sitzen.

• Beatrix (8/5): Zentral und trotzdem ruhig - Zentrale Lage, sauber, Kaffee und Tee jederzeit, heiße Dusche, Kühlschrank. Es gibt kein Frühstück, obwohl das beim Buchen angeboten wird. Das kleine Zimmer ist relativ teuer. Türschloss klemmte sehr.

• JUSTIN (10/5): Outstanding - We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is perfect just a short walk to the town center, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. It offers the best of both worlds: convenience and tranquility. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality really stood out and made the stay even more enjoyable. In terms of value for money, it’s outstanding. The experience was honestly better than many of the top rated hotels in town, both in comfort and service. Would definitely recommend and return! N/A

• Wije (10/5): If you are looking for a comfortable stay - Usually, it's really hard to find a good place to stay in Jaffna, Either it's cheap and has some shortcomings or it has to be a 5-star hotel. But Jaffna Inn is in a perfect location. You are in walking distance from everything you need. And it's relatively cheaper. The staff was friendly & helpful, It was clean & comfortable. It had everything I was looking for. One bathroom shower didn't work.

• Adrienne (9/5): Superb - Good location in town but down a quiet steet so no noise issues. Close to some good places to eat (go to the Malayan Cafe) and the bus terminal. A bit of a long walk but still walkable to the fort. Along the way you'll pass through some markets and the public library which is a beautiful old building. Staff were friendly and there was security outside. There was a shared lounge area between a couple other rooms where you could make a tea and sit down. Air con was crispy cold and there was a fan too. Very clean. Comfortable beds. From the main road to the hotel you have to walk 100m or so down a quiet street with no other foot traffic. It's a very short distance though. No window to outside but there was a window to the lounge area so it didn't feel claustrophobic at all. There was also a huge window in the shared area that let a lot of natural light in
• Bentleymad (10/5): A great place to stay for - It is a nice and quiet modern hotel with good facilities. The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. There is a fridge in the room and and tea making facilities in the lounge area outside the room. We were given two small bottles of water on arrival. The shower works well with good hot water, once you get it adjusted properly. There is a shower screen too, but like all bathrooms in Sri Lanka the bathroom floor still gets wet. The air conditioner works well and the room also has a large ceiling fan. The hotel is well located just 1.6 kilometers from Jaffna Fort and about a kilometre from the rooftop bar at the Jaffna Jetwing Hotel. Breakfast was not included but is available, we did not have breakfast at the hotel. All in all a good place to stay. Coffee as well as tea by the kettle would be nice
