Remcoooh (5/5): Het geld niet waard. - Ruime kamer, warme douche en goede airco. Personeel is zoals overal erg vriendelijk en willen graag een stap extra doen. Ontbijt is karig en Engels georiënteerd. Lunchkaart aanwezig maar lang niet alles te bestellen. Geen verlichting bij trap naar bovenste kamers. Klamboe open aan bovenkant dus nutteloos. Airco blaast over het bed. Harde lokale muziek (in de middag) op terras terwijl er alleen personeel is. Konden op het strand onze eigen muziek niet fatsoenlijk luisteren. Geen bediening op het strand. Harde matrasjes op strandbed. Je hebt er dus minimaal 2 nodig.
Jay Gemini (4/5): - Toilet had a good flush and bedroom shower was good. First room was awful, so we were moved to another which was fine, as the shower worked, there were hooks to hang towels (just about) and the TV worked. Due to a gap in the back door of the room, some unknown creature took a daily crap in the room. The hotel's card machine wasn't working and it was difficult to make payment as they had no other viable payment method. We were asked to withdraw cash to make payment. Not really feasible. We were meant to stay for 2 weeks but due to being treated as criminals for the unpaid bill; as soon as I was able to settle the first week bill, via a UK bank, we checked out and went to another hotel for the second week. Second hotel was fantastic.

Tom (6/5): Wel OK, maar te duur via Booking.com - Engels breakfast met fruit. Kon vroeg breakfast krijgen 7:00 en eventueel meekrijgen. Hotel zit aan het strand. Maar kamers zitten aan de voorkant. Kluisjes waren defect. Maar hotel heeft een muur en heeft een slagboom. Geen heet water voor 2 dagen. Weinig goede restaurants in directe buurt, behalve restaurant Samba.
Jan (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf dankzij het geweldige personeel. De kleine ongemakken neem je er met plezier bij. - Goed gelegen hotel, erg ruime en propere kamers. Het personeel doet werkelijk alles om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Het bed was erg hard, maar dit werd op mijn vraag snel opgelost met extra dekbed. Het ontbijt kon wat gevarieerder zijn. En echte koffie in de plaats van oploskoffie zou echt wel beter zijn. Maar iedereen is zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam dat je dit snel vergeet
Nicole (4/5): Party die ganze Nacht - Zimmer waren groß. Strandnähe Es ist eine Partylocation. Am Abend kommen sehr viele junge Leute und es wird die ganze Nacht Party gemacht. Konnte nicht schlafen und zog am 3 Tag aus. An vielen Ecken sieht man auch Renovierungsbedarf. Wände die bröckeln, zerrissene Vorhänge, rostigen Stühle. Ist ja ok aber nicht wenn das Zimmer soviel kostet wie eine einwandfreie Location in Europa. Das passt nicht zusammen.
Veerle (1/5): Hotel is geen 4 sterren waard! Pure oplichting! Kom hier nooit meer terug! - De locatie, beveiligde parking, zwembad, zonnebedden, privé-strand, ruime kamer, het bed was redelijk goed. De advertentie op booking.com klopt niet, hotel heeft 20 jaar leeg gestaan, nieuwe eigenaar sinds 2024. Foto’s op website zijn van de glorietijd, hotel is in een vervallen staat. Tijdens verblijf was men opknapwerken aan het uitvoeren. Ook de beloofde faciliteiten op de kamer waren er niet. Wifi lag er 3 dagen uit, tv-aansluiting met wifi werkte niet, hulp bij problemen werd niet geboden, enkel mogelijk om cash te betalen, geen haardroger, geen koffie of thee op kamer, geen waterkoker op kamer, geen mini-bar, koud douchewater, weinig druk op het water, geen geluiddempende muren zoals vermeld op de website. Zicht op tuin is eerder zicht op overwoekerd terrein, geen ontbijtbuffet, van de menukaart was maar weinig verkrijgbaar, zou kinderen niet toegelaten zijn maar de familie van eigenaar zat met kleine baby’s en kindjes in het zwembad zonder pamper en met kleren aan, ook 2 lokale mannen die met kleren zwommen, wat niet mag volgens de zwembadregels op het bordje naast zwembad, toen ik eigenaar hierover aansprak lachte hij het weg. Personeel onvriendelijk en service slecht, besteld eten nooit gekregen. Vuile handdoeken aan het zwembad. En zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan.

Benjamin (10/5): Incredible property and staff! Cannot wait to return - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dunas Hotel in Gambia, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and local charm. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail, from the comfortable bedding to the stunning views. The pool area was an oasis of tranquility, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The on-site restaurant offered a delicious variety of dishes, from local Gambian specialties to international favorites, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. The staff were always available to offer recommendations and ensure every meal was a pleasant experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, always with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing local insights, or simply checking in to make sure I was comfortable, their hospitality made my stay truly memorable. The location of the hotel is also fantastic, offering easy access to the beach, local attractions, and vibrant markets. It was the perfect base for exploring all that Gambia has to offer.
Therese (9/5): Superb - Great staff, good breakfast and really good location near the beach, the restaurant did local food on request, and it was delisious :) they had ac and hot water and wifi worked alright! The bed was hard, the management fixed it with some extra blankets so it got softer. The price was abit to much.
