Robert (8/5): Quiet and pleasant house, very convenient to town and the train station. - Breakfast is coffee makings and some snacks and fruit put out for the taking, which I enjoyed. House is just a few minutes' walk from the train station. My room was quiet and comfortable. Very nice kitchen, with everything I needed, and even a sort of view out the back window, of the nearby mountains. Big dining/sitting room available to guests. Located just far enough from town center to be quiet, which is important because the downtown street is very busy for such a small town, and pretty noisy. Owners are just starting out as hosts and have a ways to go yet in attention to detail. There is no check-in procedure, really. I had to phone them (some travellers don't have this ability) and wait about 20 minutes for them to come to the house and let me in. But they were incredibly helpful and nice. Room and common bathroom are full of very thoughtful touches, yet have quirks that show that the owners have not spent a night there themselves. And there is no place in a bed-and-breakfast for complicated, difficult and counter-intuitive "modern" cooktops, no matter how popular they have become. Visitors just don't have the month or two it takes to learn how the thing is supposed to work.
