We loved the location. Ivan the owner was incredibly lovely and even though we speak almost no Spanish we managed to have some great conversations with him. We also seen 2 capybara when making an early breakfast It was a little hard to find on Google maps - recommend downloading the map first as it’s out of cell reception. Was quickly sorted through what’s app ☺️

- Doctor jungle (10/5): A Hidden Paradise-The Perfect Inspiration in Mindo - I stayed at this incredible lodge to finish writing my upcoming book, "Dr. Jungle," and it was the perfect choice. The location is wonderfully secluded and quiet, yet only a 10-minute trip from the village. The property is lush with plants,, and indescribable hidden gems. It sits right next to a powerful, rushing river that provides a soothing soundtrack everywhere you go, with unbelievable views of the surrounding nature. I especially loved the breakfast concept: you receive a basket with fresh ingredients, eggs, cheese, granola, and fruits, to prepare yourself in a stunning outdoor kitchen facing the jungle and the garden. The garden is teeming with colorful birds and butterflies, and the birdsong is like a constant, beautiful melody.! Also the fireplace in the common area was like a dream while was raining! Ivan and his wife are wonderful hosts, incredibly kind and attentive. Their service was top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace and a true connection to nature! Nothing!Can’t even think!

Una cama incómoda, un lugar sucio y hacerte tú mismo todo. - El acceso directo al río Las camas son terribles, se mueven demasiado. Porque son endebles. El desayuno te toca hacer a ti mismo. Y las habitaciones no están limpias. Es un lugar muy caro para el servicio prestado

- Parada (10/5): Un lugar hermosos del Ecuador. - Es un lugar hermoso, lleno de naturaleza, muy tranquilo para descansar y desconectar de la rutina. Las aves y mariposas está por todas partes y es muy lindo verlas. La calidez y amabilidad de las personas es muy acogedora, las instalaciones son rústicas y bien mantenidas. Excelente estancia!

- Dan (8/5): beautiful setting mostly open air lodging - The location Is really nice in that you are well away from the town in a nice garden setting. The cabins are very new looking and clean. It's really nice to just chill and watch the butterflies and birds fly by. there are a lot of dogs around so we didn't see any wildlife besides birds and butterflies. Cooking our own breakfast wasn't so bad, though there are no spices so our food was pretty bland. the yogurt and granola was great. maybe bring your own spices if that matters to you, we went and bought some. We did not realize that most of the place was going to be totally open air. It looks so nice online that you don't realize it's outside. The entire kitchen and sitting area is open which means mosquitoes and biting flies at night and evenings, making it a little less fun to linger outside at those times. In contrast, the bedroom is totally sealed. none of the windows in the bedroom or bathroom can open at all, which made that room kind of stuffy. especially when it warmed up during the day. I wish the bedroom had screen windows for ventilation. The two dogs are very sweet and we liked seeing them. We did not know who was taking care of them though and they seemed very lonely. They would stay right outside our room all night (sometimes barking) which made us a little sad for them. The cabin we had was right next to the road so we could hear cars going by occasionally day and night (the dirt road is surprisingly busy). It wasn't a huge deal but it didn't feel so isolated. It's a 15 minute drive down a potholed dirt road from Mindo to reach the cabins, so it's not practical if you don't have a car.

The nature, the grounds, access to water, the many birds, the sounds, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, drinkable water dispensers around the property, bird feeders supplied daily. We had the big cottage with upstairs bedroom, the one advertised on the main page. It's just gorgeous, especially in the morning with so much light and greenery around the cottage. Friendly dogs on the property, Kind and helpful staff, great breakfast. Hard to say things we did not like.... I guess that is 4.5km from Mindo BUT at the same time it means it's quieter, more birds, more nature, less tourists and cars. We love to walk so it was no problem for us. And one night during the weekend, another cabin on the property had the music on the porch till midnight....when it is specified to be quiet after 10pm, But it's not the property fault. We just loved it there.

- Daniela (9/5): Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. - Loved the location if you are looking for a place to relax and get away from noise and busy life. My kids loved going to the river to swim and I enjoyed breakfasts watching the birds across the balcony. Ivan, who took care of us was truly amazing! I went with the idea that I wasn't going to cook at all. Turns out breakfast is not served but they provide all the ingredients so you make it yourself. At first I wasn't too excited about it, but it actually turned out to be really great, and we got to enjoy the meals as a family in a wonderful setting :)

Also the place was very clean and everything was like they show on the pictures, the place look like it was brand new and also had the touches that make you feel in home.
