Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (7/5): Convenient for Bury, kitchen and bathroom need a refurb - Door knob falling off the bathroom door and the runner in the hallway was a trip hazard
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pegah (10/5): We had an excellent time in the property - It was the second time we booked this property and it was excellent. I will book it again.
- David (7/5): Good - Good little welcome pack.
- Pegah (10/5): Beech Tree was fantastic! The place was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly kind and made sure - It was very comfortable and very well maintained. Everything was outstanding.
- Lyn (4/5): Hosts are paying for a cleaner who is not cleaning - N/A Cleanliness
- David (8/5): Very good - Accommodation was good and plenty of storage space. Situated on a busy main road with no pavement on your side. A bit dodgy crossing to the other side.
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional - It was a well looked after little bungalow.. It was extremely comfortable, a real home from home.
Close walk to town.
So kind as a super welcome pack,
It was so well looked after and beautiful China to use.
So kind. It was fine, couldn't find fault with this little bungalow.
- Lynne (8/5): Very good - Clean,spacious accommodation. Parking for 2 cars. N/A
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ursula (9/5): Just right for a long weekend in Bury - Quiet comfortable, ideal position, plenty of space for 2 people. Very clean.. Wifi easy to access. Would recommend. Everything was at a height for tall guests. As two small older ladies we had to climb on a chair to reach a wine glass! No cloths to wipe kitchen surfaces. We had to buy some.
- Dianne (9/5): Perfect situation for our visits to all the near by National Trust properties. - Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The TV was not straight forward to use even with the instructions. No instructions for the microwave so unable to use it.
- Prestige (9/5): Superb -
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice self contained and detached house, felt very welcome and safe in the property. It is not fancy if that is what you are looking for but if you want a sound base that is cosy, private and well equipped this is great. Lovely patio off kitchen all private and not overlooked, staff very welcoming and easy to contact Fresh milk and biscuits waiting on arrival was a nice surprise. Drive accessed from busy road but this didn't cause any problems it is good to be aware of this though and reverse up the drive. The house is not close to road or any noise from it.
- Katrina (7/5): I stayed for 4 nights in February 2024, visited family close by and loved spending time in BSE - The place was warm on arrival, with biscuits and fresh milk waiting for me.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, responding quickly to my requests.
The kitchen is well equipped and there are lots of leaflets and guides left to help you plan your stay I couldn't work out the TV, had to call the owners in to help. The words had worn off one of the two remotes.
The cooker was initially difficult to understand, but I managed to work it out.
Had to run the hot tap for over 5 minutes before the water became warm, felt like a dreadful waste of water.
Location is on a very busy road, it's difficult to find in the dark, even if you have been before.
- Mark (8/5): Good location for shops and accessibility into the town - would stay again - Excellent location. Good size. Small details like dishwasher tablets and poop bags. Enough parking. Lack of Lightning for the driveway. Driveway slippery when damp.
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Location was good, easy to get into Bury St Edmunds. Beds were comfortable. Living Room furniture was comfortable. Kitchen well supplied with glasses, china, cutlery and utensils. The shower - as we do not reside in the UK we had a hard time figuring how to put on the shower. Might be a good idea to put instructions as to how to do it in the instruction booklet. The tub is quite high. Perhaps handles can be put inside the tub to grab onto when entering and leaving the tub. Also water seemed to leak from underneath the tub.
Bedding - we were quite surprised that we had to take the linens off the beds before departure and put them in a “blue” laundry bag - we did take the linens off the beds but this is the first time we have seen this request. We could not find the laundry bag. We have stayed in numerous Airbnbs.
Kitchen - lack of certain ingredients- normally when we have stayed in previous locations there has been some ingredients such as salt and pepper and oil. Just a suggestion to have these on hand.
Front Garden was not tidy and did not look very appealing. Maybe it could be spruced up a bit. The back area needed a good cleaning.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable beds clean and tidy everything that you needed is to hand. Would highly recommend it to anybody There wasn't anything that was not to like we have a very enjoyable stay and if the cricket is in Bury St Edmunds again which should be using again.
