- rianne (9/5): Geweldige locatie!
- Yudha (5/5): A great villa to enjoy the view of mountains and lake - The only good thing from the Samuh Camp is the view from the villa. You can see beautiful scenery of mountains and lake in front of your villa doorstep. 1. The location is quite remote. We arrived during night time, and almost got lost. The host helped us to navigate to the location.
2. The floor was dusty and needs more attention for the cleaning.
3. There was no soap and shampoo in the bathroom.
4. Bathroom needs more cleaning and maintenance
5. It was so disappointing, that during our stay, there were workers came at 8am to do renovation exactly at the front of our room, so we could not enjoy morning view. The owner shall arrange the renovation to other villas, where there were no guests.
- Adam (7/5): Good -
- Jurrian (2/5): Not satisfied - The view They only have photos of their bungalow on their front page. I was blindsided when I arrived. I assumed I had booked this, but I booked the tent apparently. That was a bummer. The staff did not speak English at all. You need to have your own car. Or you will be nowhere. There were a lot of ants in my tent and in my bed. I departed after spending one day over there.
- Agus (6/5): Good view but the property needs rejuvenated - It’s in a good location where we can see the lake and the mountain The property needs rejuvenated. The signs for direction to the property are not clear, the access also needs maintenance
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - I stayed in a bungalow. It was very comfortable, well equipped (kettle, coffee etc), clean, cosy and has a beautiful view on a lake and Mount Batur. Small details, like i had small problems with communication as i don't speak bahasa.
It would be great if there was any choice for breakfast (only omlette) and f.e. tea (for this price). But that's just an idea for a perfect stay. The place is still worth to be visited.
- Lisa (10/5): Great experience with my friends - Beautiful location
- Nix (9/5): Cosy tent with beaut view. - Beautiful view. Cosy tents. Fire pit can be lit in the evening. Pretty lighting everywhere. Shared bathrooms clean. Towel and soap provided. Super friendly staff!! The road to reach the camp is very bumpy. Totally worth the uncomfy ride but be careful when heading up there. More relaxing chairs outside the tents would have been nice, we would have spent more time there if that had been the case. No egg option for breakfast, only rice / noodle / pancakes.
- Harcharan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christoper (9/5): Nice View and Good Service - Good place with helpful staffs.
Good view No restaurant for us to do snacking or even have a light meal
- Loanne (10/5): Exceptional - The view was incredible, the staff were lovely and I loved the location. I could walk to my favourite Warung opposite the floating restaurant with the beautiful gardens for lunch and dinner every day. The lovely family here also offers very reasonable priced transportation. It's close to Hot Springs, but be careful with your things here. Always keep your locker key on your wrist. Happy Travels! My recommendation is for a water station to save plastic bottles and help the environment.
- Vincent (8/5): Very good -
- Mifzaal (8/5): Very good -
- Boris (7/5): Too expensive for the value. -30% would make sence. - Nice view! Too expensive for the value. -30% would make sence.
- Danielle (8/5): Amazing! -
- Vera (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (9/5): Superb - Comfortable bed great views good facilities
- Atika (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Accoms and location perfect ❤️
Breakfast was lovely Rip off charges to take you to bottom of hill for dinner
$30 a night to stay
$15 to take you down the hill and back..do not like u ripping people off.. (it may have been off-site provider,)
BTW If meal avail I would have purchased there ( breakfast was really lovely)
- Georgie (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the view from the balcony and room. It's a beautiful place to stay to feel connected to the nature around. The room was cozy and very comfortable. I slept so well. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it's a quiet and peaceful stay. Best for adults, not kids that would disturb the peace. I'm glad I didn't bring my toddler. The bright light shining at night in the grounds, only because it prevented star gazing!
- Marthinus (8/5): Very good - We had a lovely stay. Beautiful views & very helpful staff!
- Alina (10/5): Perfect stop when you want to hike the Mount Batur with a beautiful view. - The location and the surrounding
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Rooms were nicely set up and the staff are very attentive! Thousands of flys everywhere. Makes it impossible to chill in the social spaces.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - It's a lovely and peaceful campsite with luxury glamping pods. Bed was amazing. Bathroom too. The pod is absolutely wonderful. Stunning view.
The gardens are beautifully kept and it's nestled up the hill away from the town noise as much as is possible. The roaring of the jeep tours is deafening in other parts. At Samuh, you are spared their torture for the most part.
The staff are beautiful. Some other review says the staff are not great. I think this person mistakes a campsite for a hotel with staff waiting on you. The staff here are not meant to wait on you. It's a campsite. In fact, you get out what you put in. I had a great time here with local staff. It's exactly what people who enjoy camping and visiting campsites around the world would expect to experience.
Thank you Samuh Camp team!
- Blessing (10/5): 10/10 stay would recommend to anyone prime location - Staff were so friendly and the view is phenomenal
- Pramana (8/5): very nice, relaxing, peace and the owner is very friendly and handy - My one-night stay at Samuh Glamping Site was nothing short of enchanting, leaving me with cherished memories that will linger for a lifetime. Nestled amidst nature's embrace, the site seamlessly blends luxury with the raw beauty of the outdoors. The glamping tents are a haven of comfort, adorned with tasteful decor and plush amenities, providing a cozy retreat under the starlit sky.
The attention to detail was impeccable, from the crackling bonfire that warmed the night air to the gourmet delights served at the on-site restaurant. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, ensuring every need was met with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm.
Waking up to the symphony of birdsong and the gentle rustle of leaves, I felt rejuvenated and connected to the natural surroundings. The eco-friendly initiatives of the site also added to the overall appeal, making the experience not just luxurious but also environmentally conscious.
Samuh Glamping Site transcends the conventional definition of a getaway, offering a harmonious blend of opulence and nature's embrace. If you seek an escape from the ordinary and a rendezvous with tranquility, this glamping haven is an absolute gem. My one night here was a chapter of serenity and sophistication that I will eagerly revisit in the future. we understand its in the wild but the insect in the room should have been sprayed prior we arrived
- Catur (10/5): we are enjoyed our stay and will return soon - location perfect for family, calm and quite
staff are friendly. nothing…
- Indah (9/5): Nice view over the lake, best campfire spot - Value for money, considering the price it comes with Nasi Goreng breakfast, fee use of portable stove, they made you campfire and the level of hospitality from all the staff makes the stay very enjoyable. Understandably that having a tent property wont look as clean as they were new, so cleanliness can be improved here.
