• Kyong Soon (6/5): Ok for one night - Very centrally located. It looked all very basic, but the shared bathroom was not that bad. It was one of the cheapest options in Lucerne. No mirror in the room, the refrigerator looked dirty and the room was not very clean.

Quiet side street couple blocks from everything. Cheaper than other hotels. Nice breakfast buffet for additional fee. Very friendly, helpful staff. Shared bathrooms were always dirty. Hair and towels all over the floor. Difficulty with washer/dryer. No elevator. Basic room with random bulky furniture, poorly arranged. Dark lobby at night. Very little decor. Terrace unappealing and overgrown with weeds.

• Awan (5/5): Good location but poor experience. - Location Shared bathroom. You have to take your room key every time to lock toilet door. You have to leave deposit for room key. No reception at residence. One of the toilets was flooded probably due to rain water. Not enough plug sockets.
• Socrates (5/5): if you're not picky with room cleanliness then a good value for your money - great location no elevator so make sure to request kower floors when booking if you have lots of stuff wirh you. no facilities to even boil hot water to make tea. something to be desired about the cleanliness. on our bed, found some specks of dirth underneath the bed sheets although the sheets were clean.

It doesnt have elevator, I was lucky to got the floor one There laundry system is weird- I put 2 CHF coin, my washing was only for 0.5 CHF- I Didnt get the remaining money back Then I had to put separate coins in order to use the dryer, and there was no detergent at all. And the painting of my room was broken.

• Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - This propery is managed by a hotel round the corner, which is where you check in. I was able to leave my bags here after checkout to accomadate my travel plans. The staff here were very helpful and friendly. You can also get a vistior travel pass, I had to ask for this. The property was clean and what you pay for, there are a lots of rooms and nights could be noisy. There is a laundry area but no kitchen area, therefore if you had to wash out your cups and lunch boxes you had to do so in the bathroom. The location is very central to the old town and lake and near a very nice chocolate/cake shop. A kitchen area would be useful in making packed lunches and drinks etc.

The instruction to check in at a nearby location was clear without problems, but you must remember to have 20 euro or francs with you for the key deposit.

It was a stressful experience, and we didn’t receive any help or support from the staff. We were left waiting outside, and even after the cleaning, the room was not properly cleaned. The bathroom was very dirty and the door couldn’t be locked. We had planned our trip to Lucerne, but unfortunately, this property handed over our room in an unclean condition. • Babin (8/5): Very good - You hve to pu your key at the host down the street. Make sure you have adequate transportation. Lucerne is very beautiful but no airport. Very near train station across the bridge. Couple vlicks from panaromic views. You can take a ferry to the mountains. Very nice bkfst. On the higher side of costs in europe. Key arrangements
• Malek (7/5): Good - The location near to the public transport and accessible. Less light i.e. a bit dark because only have 2 table lamp. Not sound proof. The location is slightly uphill, which may be a bit inconvenient if you're carrying or dragging heavy luggage.
• Stennylaus (7/5): Good - 1. Location. 2. The room given was not the same as per booked but was still okey. 1. The room key is not able to use to lock the shared bathroom as we been told earlier the room key can be used to lock the bathroom door. However, its not. 2. No kettle in the room or somewhere (no kettle at all). So no hot drink when its needed. 3. You need to walk and hike for around 250 meters to the room as the check in place was in different place. I’m okey with that but if you got many luggage and then this is a bit challenging for you.

• Aliaksei (9/5): Very good location in the heart of Lucern - Very good location in the heart of Lucern. Close to all main attractions and train station. Great value for the price. Check-in is at another hotel, which is a bit confusing at first. We also didn’t expect a shared bathroom (though that was our oversight, of course).

• Hieu (8/5): Accurate description and good value for money - It’s unfair to rate the property on what they already tell you they have or don’t have. First, the instruction to check in at a nearby location was clear and not a hassle in any sense. Remember to have a 20 dollar or euro or francs bill with you for the key deposit. They do register guests for the free city bus pass. The room was HUGE for 1 person. The bathrooms and toilets are very clean. No smell. The desk, chairs, wardrobe, and fridge were appreciated. Not something you find for $70/night in the center of the old town. Walking was extremely easy to hundreds of shops and supermarkets. There is no microwave so plan your meals accordingly. I do want to subtract 2 points. 1 is the WiFi is not strong enough for work calls but ok for surfing and watching YouTube. The other one is I did notice dust in the morning so maybe more dusting is needed. Also the pillow is so soft for my personal preference. But I made it work by folding it.

Having the Check-in desk being in a completely different building nearby (different street) with just a sign sending you out on a chase to find it was not very convenient, especially when hauling luggages.

• Roshan (5/5): Okay - The location is very near to the lake and the sight seeing places. Room was spacious. Cleanliness was not that great. The reception was not in the same area as the residence. There were no instructions in the booking. Once we reached, it took some time to figure out that the reception. The reception check in and check out is in a different hotel 150 meters away from the stay.
• Luca (3/5): Not recommended - Location downtown 1) when we arrived, the room was entirely smelly of cigarettes, unbearable, when we notified the staff, we luckily got a different room. 2) That new room was totally unclean: crisps on the floor, a disgusting brush full of hair in a drawer, table surface unclean. 3) The shared bathroom is not cleaned everyday and given how many people use it, it gets unhygienic, people leave used towels on the floor. By the way, bathroom doors can only be locked with room keys, so as a couple, if one needs to use the bathroom at night, he/she needs to lock the other person in. 4) For an unknown reason, the front door of the building is constantly kept open, and the rooms are on the ground floor, so it doesn't feel very safe at all, as there's only the room door between the street and where you sleep. 5) The walls are made of cardboard so you hear literally everything all the time. Ps: The cranky wooden bed is 120 yo, so it is very noisy. 😏 To conclude, given the rather high price paid, it is definitely not worth its price.

• Louiza (8/5): Great stay, great location for a great prize. - Location was excellent near by the lake & station & old wall with shops & restaurants. Room was big with TV & fridge. The check in/out to get the key was on another location so wasn’t clear at first. A Stranger almost entered the room but mistakes like that happen I guess with more than one room on a floor. No security downstairs though those were in the other building so tricky because you never know who is on the same floor especially that showers & toilets were outside the room to share with others.
• Charlotte (5/5): Great location, poor facilities! - Location — 10 minutes walk to the train station. I would not stay here again, due to two major issues: 1) Hotel has no reception or staff: - There was a piece of paper stuck to the wall by the front door, directing you to walk 5 minutes down a hill with your luggage to a completely different hotel to check in! Upon check in, they demanded a refundable 20 franks cash deposit to get the hotel room key…or you had to leave your passport with them! I had no cash and didn’t trust to leave my passport with them — so I had to walk 10 minutes with luggage to find an ATM. Then after check in, back up the hill with luggage, and then up two flights of stairs to access building and get to the floor of my room due to no elevator. 2) Unclean facilities, and the bedroom was not accurate to the description: - No fan or tea/coffee machine was provided in the room. - Hotel bedroom cleaner, who I finally met on day x2 of a x4 day stay gave me a fan. Then told me, via Google translate, that they have an external company paid to clean the shared bathroom every 2 days…the bathroom (x2 toilets and x2 showers) is shared between x6 bedrooms on the floor so this is unhygienic — it should be cleaned every day. I did notify them via email and they said it would be cleaned. But also, x1 shower didn’t even have a curtain so the room was soaked every time you showered and people left wet towels all over the floor; Bedroom wasn’t cleaned at all during x4 day stay.
• Duncan (7/5): Would stay again - The location near the lion monument, town and close to food shops was excellent. My room was very good (and quiet) and the shared bathroom was always available and well kept. Arriving, and then back down the road for the keys at Alpenstrasse 3.

• Nikhil (3/5): Worst experience of Switzerland trip - Only likable thing was - it was close to market and Luzerne lake. 1. The Google maps location provided is not correct. The actual hotel/reception is 370 m away. We had to call and confirm the location after reaching there and got lost. 2. More than half of the mentioned room facilities were not even there - Ex - Water kettle, Near bed power socket plug. 3. There is no one whole building in which rooms are allocated to provide any service. 4. There is no reception in the building itself where rooms were allocated. 5. Whole building flooring is wooden type so noises comes when some other person is walking / closing gates. 6. No toothpaste is given in the morning. 7. Sofa present in the room was in torn condition. 8. No customer service as such.

It was a relatively good price but was it worth having carcinogenic c - Location Cigarette smoke entered our room from the outside courtyard whenever our window was open, which was unacceptable. The bed mattresses were saggy and unsupportive. The bathroom / shower rooms, which are meant for single use, did not have doors that locked from the inside. One more than one occasion we were “surprised” by other guests also wanting to use the facility.
