You are right inside the tropical forest and get a real feel of the Balinese nature. This is a retreat hotel meaning you’ll preferably stay there for peace and quiet, get connected with the nature and the local traditions, self-reflection and wellbeing. I’d highly recommend Akohara Buahan Village Retreat if you want to make a gift to yourselves while being in Ubud. Last but not least its value for money! The elevator was a bit slow and we sometimes moved around using the stairs when we were in a rush, otherwise I cannot find anything negative to say.

• Philipp (10/5): Beautiful rainforest escape with exceptional service - We absolutely loved our stay at Akohara Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — everyone was so kind, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. The bungalow was beautiful and very comfortable, nestled in the middle of the jungle. The whole property feels like a lush rainforest retreat: extremely peaceful, green and tranquil, with very few guests, which made the experience feel very private and exclusive. The pool area is stunning and blends perfectly into the surrounding nature — a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The food was excellent: breakfast was a real highlight with amazing choices, beautifully presented and delicious. Dinner was also consistently very good. Because the hotel is located deep in nature, there are of course many animals around. We were quite surprised by the cicadas — they were extremely loud, especially at night. We had to use ear protection to sleep, and we were sometimes woken up during the night by their sound. Occasionally, cicadas even made their way into our room, which was not ideal. However, the staff were always very quick, friendly and helpful in assisting us in the evenings, which we truly appreciated. There is also a small gym, beautifully nestled in the rainforest near the river (on the 7th floor, which is actually at ground level). It’s a very nice and scenic space, although rather small with limited equipment. The hotel has seven levels in total, and we stayed on the 3rd floor, which was perfect — it allowed us to avoid using the inclinators all the time. Overall, Akohara Hotel offers a truly special jungle experience: peaceful, immersive, beautifully designed and very personal. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, nature-focused getaway.

• Abdulla (1/5): كانت اقامة سيئة ، ولا يوجد به خيارات فقط مكان واحد للطعام وهو نفسة البار و المسبح فقط ، وكثير الحشارات والتنقل به عن طري - الفندق جديد وموظفينة جداً تعاملهم ممتاز فقط . لا انصح السكن بهذا الفندق ، كثرة الحاشرات النامس و الباعوض والضفادع في الفلا علماً الحشرات داخل الغرفة النوم كان منظر سيء مما جعلني اخرج من الفندق واحجز في فندق آخر و التنقل في الفندق عن طريق لفت بدائي يتسع لي 4 اشخاص من ضمنهم موظف يعمل به ويجب عليك الانتظار ، ورغم ذالك الخطء ادارة الفندق لم تسترجع المبلغ

• Marco (10/5): Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!! - Tolles neues Hotel mit super Lage und Aussicht auf den Dschungel von Ubud! Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hochwertig eingerichtet! Das Frühstück und Abendessen war außergewöhnlich gut und die Preise waren vollkommen okay. Das einzige was etwas gestört hat war, dass man manchmal auf den Lift warten musste, denn es passten nur 3 Personen hinein. Der Lift ist unumgänglich um auf die einzelnen Ebenen zwischen den Zimmern und dem Restaurant zu kommen. Aber meistens ging es recht schnell und man hat ja Urlaub 😉
• Beasant (10/5): We would be back there in a heartbeat. - We had an amazing stay at Akohara. It was our first time in Bali and staying at this resort made us feel like royalty. All staff were so kind and went out of their way to make our stay delightful. The location was beautiful, it felt like we were in paradise. The main pool was always a divine temperature, perfect for a swim after breakfast or to have afternoon tea by the pool. The room was relaxing, gorgeous and private. The food from the restaurant was incredible, every meal we had was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The resort has everything you need, but if you would want shopping or an amazing steak, it's easy to arrange a driver to take you with a sensational steak restaurant only twenty minutes away. We cannot praise this place enough. We are so happy we found this place! There was nothing we didn't like about the resort. Only thing we'd change is, we got a general driver from the airport through booking.com, but I would recommend getting the shuttle from Akohara, the car is luxurious!

La habitación es una pasada, con un servicio que atiende hasta el mas mínimo detalle. No podíamos pedir mas, el mejor hotel en el que he estado sin duda. Me encantó todo.

Cannot recommend Akohara highly enough. Just stunning! Being away from the hustle and bustle of Bali is lovely, but not close to any shops either.

• eisa (10/5): The Best Hotel Experience of My Life - Akohara Buahan is truly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were extremely welcoming, charming, and helpful in every possible way. The location deep in the jungle makes you feel completely cut off from the world, like living inside a Studio Ghibli movie. Our private infinity pool, the unique cable-car-style lift, and the modern room technology were all beyond amazing. The details made everything feel magical from the twice-a-day room cleaning (they even set up the bug net around the bed like a fairytale canopy), to the free mini fridge, teas, and thoughtful touches everywhere. The spa was incredible, with the most breathtaking jungle view, and the yoga space plus mats in the room were such a perfect addition for relaxation. There are also many activities offered, and each day brings something different to try, so there’s always something new to enjoy. The WhatsApp service made everything so easy, and the restaurant was superb. The whole experience felt unreal and unforgettable. That I couldn’t stay longer to experience even more of it!
