Guest Reviews
- Karsten (10/5): - Ein sehr schönes und liebevoll ausgestattetes Haus. Sehr nette Vermieterin. —-
- Claire (10/5): Great family get together. Home from home. - Beautiful spacious comfortable and clean house for eight adults plus toddler. Well equipped kitchen and dining ware. Towels and toiletries provided. Host lit a welcome stove for us and left firewood. Gorgeous garden with patio furniture. Fire pit and barbeque available in shed. Guest book had very comprehensive guide to using house and indicated the amenities in the locality, walks, beaches, restos etc. Everything about the house was great, but bring midge repellent in summer for outdoors.
- Gragal (10/5): Nice Easter Break - We (2 families with teen children) decided to spend a few days of Easter break in West Ireland. Atlantic Way Cottage turned out to be a good choice. Its location allows to escape the daily rush and slow down a little.
Many positive words have already been written about the host and I can only confirm those - she is certainly doing her best.
None of us really had any complaints, the house was clean, looking nice, had all the needed stuff plus a cosy fireplace. We simply enjoyed our time. Perhaps one thing - a part of ground level floor is raised (has a small step) not that clearly visible... until you trip over it. Could be marked better, at the expense of look.
- Valeria (10/5): Amazing stay, exactly what we needed. Owner is super helpful, anything you need she will help you with. We forgot few b - It had a lovely garden, the fire pit was amzing. Kids enjoyed the large window seats in the rooms.
- Nicholas (10/5): - A terrific cottage for a group setting. Host was kind, communicative, and even lit a fire for us prior to our arrival.
Everyone was very impressed by the cleanliness and coziness of the property, the host really did not leave a stone unturned when accommodating her guests.
I will be returning and would highly recommend to anyone travelling through the area.
- Laura (10/5): A fantastic house in a rural location. - The house is really beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. It was large enough to easily accommodate four young children and four adults. The garden space was really great for kids to play in and for adults to relax. Everything you could possibly need for a holidays is supplied. Nothing!

- Jennifer (10/5): - We absolutely loved everything about this house, the location and its fabulous views, the host was amazing and could not have been anymore helpful.
- Marina (10/5): - One of the cleanest places we've stayed. Although we never saw the host, Eimear was there for us if we had any questions, very quick to reply to our messages. The house is very big, I a quiet area and there is plenty of space inside and outside the house to send your days. Would definitely stay there again. Nothing. Everything was great. The only thing to note is you'll definitely need a car to move around. Not a bad thing, just something to point out
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent location! - The owner was fabulous! Loved the history of the property. The house was clean, well stocked and all necessities were there, including outside facilities! It was peaceful and very tranquil. The location provided outstanding country views.
If you're looking for something a bit out of the way, look no farther!
One of the best places we've ever stayed at in Ireland. No complaints! Loved all of it!!
- Morning Consulting (10/5): Perfect stay for a gateway :) - The house is nice, peaceful and cozy. Plenty of things were in the kitchen for cooking. We have arrived late and the fireplace was lit and we felt very welcomed 🙏🏻. Every room in the house smelled amazing. The beds were comfortables.
- Niall (10/5): - Great stay in a great cottage - had absolutely everything we needed.
Alles was man benötigte war vorhanden.
Vielen Dank, Es gibt nichts negatives.
- me_emon (10/5): We enjoyed our time at the property and it was clean and tidy. Thanks for hosting us! - The property was clean and tidy. Was maintained well. Everything was great.
- Oliver (10/5): If u want to disconnect and get attached to nature that will be ur place.. it was out of this world - The property is spotless and very clean Everything is nice
- Chris (10/5): Wonderful, absolutely picturesque! - Beautiful property in a stunning location. Eimear is a wonderful host, too!
- Veronica (10/5): Wonderful - This was just a wonderful place it was just perfect place to stay to explore this beautiful part of island .
Everything is there for your comfort lots of information on the area . We did visit some of the recomended places and was not disappointed wonderful . only problem was we did not book it for longer it was so special . We will be back 😘 Nothing
- Brenda (10/5): Memorable, comfy, comfy stopover while exploring Connemara - Modern, nice lounge area with tv all stations for kids, everything needed in kitchen, big family table. All beds comfy and dressed with cute cushions. Two bathrooms with good shower. Lots of space outside for bikes or kids to play. We only stayed 1 night!
- Joshy (10/5): We had a fantastic stay at this cottage ,the host, the house and the location was very memorable. -
- Walsh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Perfect stay in a great location, beautiful house and GREAT host. - Beautiful house and great location. Our host was quick to respond and even lit the fireplace for us just before we arrived. I would definitely book here again.
- Noone (10/5): Highly recommended! - This property is just stunning. I travelled with 3 other adults and 3 children. The cottage immediately impressed as we drove up the driveway. Inside was beautifully decorated, everything matched and had a real traditional, homely Irish feel about it, especially with the log fire that had been lit prior to our arrival. There was plenty of space, especially for the children to run around and play outside and also with their own room to chill out together. It had everything you could have needed, all amenities like the dishwasher, microwave, hob etc were working well and the long dining table was perfect for our group.
The host was extremely attentive, checking in with us before our stay, during and after. There is nothing about this property that I didn’t like!
- Brice (10/5): It felt like visiting the "real" Ireland - The cottage was just what we were looking for, quiet and secluded. It is traditional Irish cottage with meter thick walls. It had every thing we could have asked for in terms of appliances and such. You can see the ocean through the trees from the upstairs bedrooms. The host was very responsive and helpful, and even offered to have fire light in the wood stove for our arrival. We used it a base to visit the Aran Islands and it is just a few minutes from the air field for our flight over. Keep in mind that this a country cottage out in the country, You can't walk to a cafe or pop around the corner for groceries, although there a few places to eat or pick groceries just a few miles away. I would recommend stopping en-route to buy at least the groceries you need for the first night and breakfast the next day, because once you settle in you won't want to leave.
- Joyce (10/5): Atlantic Way Cottage is the perfect spot for your next vacation destination. Very accommodating, clean and cozy! Can’t w - Love this cottage! The property is located in a great location for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Perfect for picturesque sunsets and star gazing! The modern updates of the cottage made the stay comfortable. When we arrived, the cottage was very clean and spacious. It has every thing one would need to enjoy the stay. The location is also not too far away from things to do and sights to see. The owner provided a pamphlet on how to navigate the ins and outs of the cottage, which was a nice touch, and shows how much they care about their guests’ experience! N/A - loved everything!!
- Emma (9/5): A really fun, warm, and cosy stay in a beautiful part of Ireland 🥰 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Atlantic way cottage. It is in a beautiful setting and the house itself is so warm and cosy. When we arrived Eimear had a beautiful fire lit for us and gave us a very warm welcome.
I would definitely recommend this beautiful quaint cottage. 🩷🩷
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage. Well equipped with everything we needed. Very clean.
- Angela (9/5): A perfect spot to use as a base especially for an Aran Island day trip... only a 7 minute drive from the ferry which was - Clean, comfortable and warm in a lovely private setting It was all great
- Imelda (10/5): Happy days 😊 - The house was ideal for us. More luxurious than the photos indicate and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. The gracious hostess had a house manual which we found very useful. As well as advice about the house (which was very straight forward) there were lots of great tips about excellent restaurants and places to visit. The location was ideal for exploration of Connemara. Everything was perfect!
- Heather (10/5): A slice of heaven in beautiful Galway! - This was an amazing location, with every accommodation you can ever imagine. I was there with my whole family, and we all had plenty of space, and also many beautiful additions that made it super super special. We were able to sit outside every evening with the flowers, and watch a little Robin, who would come by, and we would feed it each evening. Sometimes he would come by in the morning as well. We feel like there is no way you could ever go wrong at this place. Everything you would ever want is taken care of.
Every single detail is laid out in the notebook, so you cannot go wrong as long as you read. I will miss this place for a a long time. It was like a piece of paradise!! The roads were narrow in some places, but any decent driver can easily navigate! That was part of the charm actually.
- Briona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely location & decor
Lovely garden
Good shops nearby
Good size
Nice owner Mattresses were really uncomfortable
Heating kept on coming on
Noisy due to structure in downstairs bedroom
- Ahouissou (10/5): It was value for money and very comfortable for the whole family. - It was very clean and very comfortable. The manual was clear and simple. Really enjoyed the property both inside and outside. We loved everything about the property and will definitely stay there again.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Lovely house in a great quiet location. Host was very quick to respond to messages. Very close to the Aran Island ferry port.
We had a great time
- Andy (10/5): Superb tranquil location, tastefully decorated house. Comfy beds, excellent information pack - Superb tranquil location, tastefully decorated house. Comfy beds, excellent information pack (best we've seen and we travel a lot). Attention to detail....and it really is the details that matters. (Owner even left bird seed to feed the friendly oft visiting little robin). Would go back in an instant - would love to have stayed longer. Thank you. N/a
- Ruán (10/5): Beyond amazing. So comfortable! - Everything!
The house was well organised, spotless, had amazing internet, all required facilities, comfy beds, and an amazing garden. There were no issues with the house!
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional - Host was absolutely wonderful. That is a very nice house in a very quiet location with enough space to fit a large group. Overall, a very good value for money. Quite a lot of annoying little flies during our stay - must have been the season but absolutely nothing that the host can do about
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pete (10/5): absolutely loved it - Location was excellent, communication was perfect and we all did a walk suggested in the house manual, heating was set perfect for us and the showers, towels and products were perfect We liked everything but for absolute perfection an awning and firepit but that's because we spend most of our time outside, possibly bed settee but that was only because of our brother and sister not sharing a room
- Ondrej (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the house is amazing
- John (10/5): Will be back again!! - Excellent Clean cottage, Host was excellent and left a detailed book of how to use everything in the house, also laid out walks in the locality, everything was explain, excellent location and we had a great stay, Cant be faulted!!
- Eleri (8/5): We had a lovely comfortable relaxing stay and would certainly recommend the cottage to others. - The location was lovely. Peaceful with a lovely view. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. The host provided useful information and was very communicative about how to get into the property, etc, which made us feel very welcome. The only small issue, which was particular to the group I was with, was that as we were travelling with my elderly parents in law, I was a concerned about them falling down the small step in the living room and the steps down to two of the bedrooms and also falling down the stairs at night. I managed to put a barrier across the stairs so that they could not take a wrong turn down there. A stairgate to put across the top of the stairs at night would be helpful.
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional - We were a large group (4 adults and 3 children), and there was enough room for everyone without feeling squished at all!
Very comfortable with all the amenities we required. A lovely patio from which we could enjoy the sunset and a bit of fresh air. Tucked away off the main road, it is quiet and peaceful .
- Kevin (7/5): Good - We liked the privacy and location. It was too far out of Galway
- Steven (10/5): Great property and host - Great location, the view down to the sea from the patio is lovely. Great amenities within the house, all bedrooms are a good size with plenty of storage. Excellent property and perfect to explore the West Coast
- Rachel (10/5): Wonderful weekend in the west - The house was perfect for a small get together of our friends where we went and discovered Inishmore, and had a very wholesome weekend away.
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for our purpose of visiting family in Bearna and Spiddeal. Found some lovely beaches 10mins drive away and ferry to Arun Islands nearby. The host was extremely helpful and contactable if any queries. House had all utensils and facilities of home. Nothing to note. All descriptions of house correct, no surprises.
- Terry (10/5): Had a fabulous time and host couldn’t have been better. Amazing few days. - Beautiful ,secluded, quite spot.it met all our expectations and was exactly as described
- Patrick (10/5): Most enjoyable, very relaxing set in a beautiful part of Connemara, well worth the travel - To narrow it down to one aspect does the experience a disservice, the property surpassed our expectations and we plan to stay at the location many times in the future
