Guest Reviews
- Linda (1/5): - NOTHING!! This place was dreadful, more like an inner city bedsit. We refused to stay! It was dark, damp and smelled musty. It should never be advertised as a holiday let.
We called the agent who said he would get back to us asap but it was the next day and we were told it had been inspected and all was OK. We are pensioners and had travelled for a week stay. We had to get a hotel overnight and go home. Disgusted
- john (6/5): Spoilt by the lack of parking anywhere near the property. - The apartment was in a great location. Spacious and well equipped. There was no 'on site parking' as described. The parking situation spoilt our break as it was a battle every time we went out in the car. This was plain over selling of the property by the owner. Very dishonest and not expected on booking.com. The carpet inside was filthy and the bedroom smelled damp and unpleasant. Tatty door, hallway and back garden area.
- Douglas f (4/5): Very disappointed because lots of little details of things that could so easily have been fixed. - good location but noisy building going on on the promenade immediately opposite the property . This should have been highlighted because it is obviously long on going work. Nice decor in kitchen and living room. NO HOT WATER on arrival or next day so had to have cold shower on first morning. Wasted time calling out engineer to sort it. Very disappointing. No light bulb at all in one bedside lamp. Broken wine cork screw. Tin opener did not work so ended up looking for hammer in the tool room to open a tin of tuna ( un successful ).Only 2 mugs but 6 plates and 6 bowls, extremely annoying. Front outside windows absolutely filthy, I had to clean them, cloth was black with dirt. Front of wardrobe drawer door fell off. Curtain rail fell down down from one small window in bedroom. Heating engineer looked at it and said it would not stay up because of the plastic rod used as rail and the angle of the walls so not surprised it did not stay up. Lots of beautiful tins for tea, coffee , sugar but not a complimentary tea bag or any coffee or sugar or even salt and pepper. Those basics are usually available in this type of property for this price.
- patricia (7/5): Place was fine, only slept there because I was sailing all day, very pleasant stay - Great location for Mumbles Yacht Club, nice and clean, a good space with seperate bedroom bedside light not working, difficult to read in bed even with lamp working, would have liked a small milk in the fridge, a small coffee available
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Murphy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (7/5): Hidden gem in the heart of the mumbles - The location was the best part. Right in the heart of the mumbles . The price was exceptionally good for its location .
Very recently decorated. Every thing was clean . The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and we stayed in and cooked The advert said outside patio. There was a rusty table and 2 chairs in a jungle of weeds . The garden needs serious attention . Wasn’t too much of an issue as we spent time in pub gardens .
- Amanda (7/5): Fab location poor parking - Location was fab and it had everything you needed The wet room bathroom
When someone had a shower the water was difficult to keep it contained in the shower area so if someone went in after to use the toilet you would have wet feet
Also no parking permit provided the only free parking was on the opposite side of the road which was always full
- Ralph (7/5): Good base for exploring the Mubles and the Gower. - Well equipped apartment with easy access to beach and a quiet bedroom at the rear of the property. Short walk to nearby shops. Short drive to the idyllic beaches of the Gower. Absence of any general information or guides (e.g. a welcome pack). Scruffy front door to the building. Parking is difficult and a permit is necessary.
- Tom (8/5): good stop - position and facilities. roadworks outside.
- Joan (7/5): Enjoyable - Good location by sea. Parking permit good. Clean. Comfortable bed. Plenty of books. Good storage space. TV picture poor. Tap in bathroom difficult to adjust. I did not need heating but could not find any instructions for turning on the heating
