• Gergana (9/5): A spotless, cozy little house that feels like home, perfect for a couple - We stayed in this charming little new house with a full-size, well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor space is set in an olive yard, where you can also park your car, and there’s even a barbecue for relaxed outdoor meals. The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for a couple. It really has almost everything you might need — iron, toaster, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, a coffee capsule machine, some cleaning supplies, plus hand soap and shower gel — it feels like a proper home. The bathroom is spacious, with a nice shower cabin. Nies beach is just 3 minutes away by car, with plenty of parking available. It’s best to come prepared with food and drinks, as there’s no shop in the village, but there are two tavernas — one of them less than a 5-minute walk away. The only things I would recommend improving are the bathroom door, which was a bit warped and very noisy when opening or closing and can easily wake you up at night, and the mattress, which might feel too soft for some people, especially those over around 80 kg. The space is just right for two people; more guests, such as a family with children, could manage but it would be less comfortable, even though there is a platform bed above the main double. It would also be very helpful if the listing mentioned the exact type of coffee machine and capsules, so guests can bring the right ones in advance. Finally, a small gesture like providing one or two doses of laundry detergent would make the stay even more convenient. One thing to keep in mind that has nothing to do with the hosts: in Nies there are quite a lot of dogs, both pets and strays, and they can sometimes make an unbelievable amount of noise at night. You get used to it, especially with the windows closed and the air conditioning on, but if someone is looking for complete silence, they might be disappointed.
