- Robin (9/5): Our small family enjoyed the stay. The fireplace was cozy and there were child cups and plates. - We especially liked the dolls and toys. The view was terrific as well. There were no face wash cloths
- Lynn (10/5): Beach resort bliss - amazing views - wish we could have stayed longer - Very clean - boutique beach shack feel
- Kaliope (8/5): -
- Olga (10/5): Liked every minute being there - Beautiful house, just in 3 min walk to the beach. The beach itself - beautiful laguna. Great ocean view from the house.
The house itself very comfortable and clean, has everything needed.
Living area gorgeous.
Perfect location, close to wineries, sightseeings
- Paul (9/5): Relaxed and comfortable, fantastic covered verandah/deck, and good kitchen and bbq - great location - hits the sweet spot between the headland walks and access to the beach - all in a quiet cul de sac!
- John (8/5): - Wonderful outlook & ideal location
- Sally (9/5): -
- Jan (9/5): Beautiful location well, taken care of very comfortable - Beautiful location, bright and airy Nothing
- Joshua (9/5): - A quaint house in a peaceful spot with great easy access to a cliff walk and beach. Beautiful views over Spring Beach. It would get a 10 if there was more comfortable seating out on the deck to enjoy the views and sounds of nature, plus a more comfortable lounge - the current one is past its best.
- Hannah (10/5): Came to our rescue - The owner's responsiveness. The great location and shack charm. Had everything we needed. Having a coffee machine gets extra ticks!
- Jared (10/5): A comfortable retreat at a gorgeous beachside location. - A cute and cosy retreat. Just moments from a gorgeous beach. Brave the chill and have a dip it makes the experience so much more! We had a lovely time. Everything was great. No problems.
- Julia (9/5): Lovely spot by an amazing beach - Spacious, vintage style place with a fantastic views & easy walk to the nearby beautiful beach It was cold - we didn’t light the wood burner but the electric heaters didn’t give out much heat
- Vanessa (7/5): Cosy little place - Outstanding beaches. The view was very nice. Shelley beach is definitely our favorite, we spent hours there. The house was cosy and good for the 3 of us, wouldn't want any more though. The bed linen was not warm and the pillows were flat. Take your own.
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Great Retreat. - Beautiful beach, views, comfortable beach house. All very acceptable. Track to beach was a little tricky.
- Micheal (9/5): Superb - The views were amazing. Washing machine and BBQ facilities were great.
Was nice to be able to sit on the deck either out the front or in the bbq area in the sun. The outside lights werent working . The bbq needs a really good clean.
- Deborah (1/5): This is not Luxury This is Cheap and Nasty - The only good thing about this property was the fireplace the coffee pod machine a flat TV the deck outside the small glimpses of the beach plus only a 5 min drive to the beach.
The host Emily is a well-organised person who replied quickly when required! Depending on your request.
You have put a lot of effort into your pre & post messages for Spring Beach Retreat but unfortunately your property doesn't reflect your property. Lets start with that you are unable to find the property no name no number that can be seen from the road had to ask a neighbour! The property indicate well maintained yards this is not correct everything is overgrown trip hazards everywhere. You can fall of the deck if not careful would need to be constantly watching your children. The photos on your online platform don't reflex this property they must have been taken years ago. I did notice not once are you showing the floors as they are yellow tongue paint with a varnish with is starting to wear badly nothing has been maintained in years.
There is a washing machine but no clothesline or pegs anywhere within this property! and no dryer therefor your washing has to hang on furniture or the fireplace enclosure.
In the bedrooms which there are two bedrooms with not one coat hangers as there is no hanging space for clothing to be hang in either bedroom! there is two queen beds one single bed and a double bunk room to sleep 7 bodies but no room to put your luggage as they have taken up all the room with beds. The linen is cheap and nasty at the lower end of the scale from Kmart; the pillows are so cheap your head sinks to the mattress. When you look at the beds the quilt covers are crushed and wrinkled on every bed.
The towels are dry and old. The bathroom products are purchased from a supermarket! all this doesn't reflex luxury which at the cost of $306 a night I expect better products like sheets, pillows, towels and bathroom products for the price I was paying a night.
There is no where to place your personal item other then the windowsill in the bathroom which are now back to bare wood.
There is nowhere to hand towels for seven people can only hand three towels not sure where you would hang the rest as only place would be the furniture? So let's talk about the furniture its old and made out pine. The lounge is a futon which can only sit three? This property should only be $120 to $150 per night if that!
- Rosemary (9/5): Great location and comfortable cosy home for our stay. - We enjoyed our second stay at Spring Beach in this unit. The facilities all work well. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of towels.
- Jodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josephine (9/5): House with a perfect view - The location and the design of the building with the bedrooms separated by the bathroom/ laundry. The railing around the decking did not meet building codes….could be a danger with young families. Too low and easily climbed on.
- Marilyn (8/5): This is a very nice place for a beach holiday. We recommend it. - The location of the property was ideal. The neighbourhood was calm and quiet. We liked the view of the beach from the deck and the easy access to the beach. We also liked the large wraparound deck.
The host was responsive and the place was clean and comfortable. We were only there for a very brief time but would easily have stayed longer if we had the time. We couldn't find the code for the WiFi. But since we only stayed one night it was not a huge problem.
- Janelle (9/5): Charming retro shack with fantastic views. - Perfect location. A lovely shack feel about it. Decor was charming. Spent lots of time on the deck. Amazing views Although the property was listed for up to 7 people, there was only enough lounge seating for 3. The couch was a little uncomfortable too. The dining chairs were ok for meals, but uncomfortable for sitting for hours. We loved the property though and very happy with everything else. Would happily stay again. Thanks
- Clare (5/5): Great location, poor accommodation. - Great location within short walk of the beach The facilities are dated and whilst that’s ok the bathroom is not really acceptable. There was a pump of some sort cutting in and out during the night. The wifi was not usable.
- Melanie (10/5): A lovely house to stay on the east coast . - Great location by the beach . Comfortable house with great views . Lovely deck and bbq area , fire place for cold nights in a quiet part of Spring beach . N/A
- Tamra (8/5): Wonderful for 2 couples, beautiful views, self contained and a great walk down to the beach - Great views, we loved having the fireplace.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - The view from the balcony
- Simi58 (7/5): Nice location. Needs a bit of maintenance - Nice location with beach views. Covered outside area to sit. Pretty well stocked kitchen. Spacious. BBQ was too rusty to use. Tv remotes wasn't working and even when switching it on using the back ups the reception was not good enough to watch tv. No can opener. Couldn't get windows to open. Noise carried a bit and using the water started a noisy pump.
- Louis (10/5): Authentic Place Retreat - Beautiful, unique surfer-style home near an unspoiled beach. Perfect for a wonderful stay on the East Coast.
Highly recommended! The villa, location, views and beach are all top-notch.
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Christian (10/5): Great place to stay, for us it was just a one night stop over. - Lovely and quiet place near a beautiful beach N/A
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked that it is a true 'schack' scale. Not like a holiday home/house, but just a small little intimage, cosy, comfy shack. EXACTLY what we were looking for to wrap up the school holidays. Lots of card games, board games, and laughing times, together.
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Ann (8/5): Great getaway weekend with my best friend. Easy access to beach & great walks. - View of spring beach Gloves for wood. Perhaps a new more comfy lounge
- Sue (8/5): Beautiful location and biews. Very comfortable. - The location and views were great. The facilities were roomy and the beds very comfortable. We had a power outage the first morning and were also unable to secure the door when we went out. However, the owner was very quick to respond.
- Mary (9/5): This is a lovely place to stay. - The house was situated in a quiet street with fabulous views over Spring Beach. It was a lovely walk to the beach and close to Maria Island ferry.
Inside, the house was well equipped with potential to sleep 6 people in two bedrooms. A bonus would have been the ability to recharge our car on site. Otherwise there was nothing we would complain about.
- Rosemary (8/5): Lovely quiet getaway during Autumn - Great location for a sunny stay at Spring Beach. Lovely views and easy walk to beach. Good access to coastal path.
- Nigel (9/5): Peace and quiet and beautiful views. - Peace and quiet and beautiful views. There was a provisions store not too far away. We should have stayed longer.
- Williamson (10/5): Awesome - cool location. - Location, Cool beach house vibe. All as expected
- Cm (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (7/5): Good -
- Edward (2/5): Very poor - Location is the best Old, doesn’t have all the things we need so not convenient and is far to shops to buy things we needed.
We gone to 7 different places for our trip, this one is the most expensive but second last in terms of experience.
- Tamara (8/5): Lovely, cosy family stay - The location is amazing, beautiful view and walking distance to beach, super comfy, lovely family home, had everything we needed. We had a crawling baby and so appreciated that there was a fire gaurd around the wood fire. Emily our host was so accommodating to our needs. Nothing to complain about here!
- Bethann (9/5): Superb -
- Jay (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place to stay, nice and relaxing and homely and perfect destination to do things in the nearby area. The place was very clean and the hosts were lovely and easy to deal with. Would defiantly recommend this place to stay! Nothing!
- Polly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - Very dated house. Expensive.
- Janet (10/5): Lovely time enjoyed staying so close to such a beautiful beach -
- Alison (8/5): Very good - View was exceptional and facilities were terrific for our family stay.
- Tania (7/5): Good - Location was lovely. Scenery was beautiful. Mattresses were very hard. No WiFi or dryer
- Colleen (8/5): Very relaxed stay in a lovely location with beautiful views of the bay. - Lovely location with spacious accommodation. Nice and clean. Great access to Maria Island ferry. Needs bedside lamps both sides of the bed and toilet door could do with oiling as it squeaks a lot!
- Krystal (10/5): it was a wonderful stay, a wonderful location, and Emily was very communicative and easy to talk to. - the property was very tidy, in a great location, great views and with everything you could need to make travelling a little easier! With a little one, it was difficult on some of the really hot days to have no fan or air conditioning, but we managed ok and everything else was fantastic!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - The perfect little holiday getaway. The location was amazing just a short walk down the road is spring beach. The house was homey and super cute with a large deck to enjoy the sunshine on, we absolutely loved our stay here and will be back again.
