Guest Reviews
- Emad (10/5): - I’m from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 and my stay in this lovely cottage was one of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve ever had.
The host, Samantha, is incredibly kind and thoughtful — she gave me a wonderful impression of the warm hospitality and genuine kindness of the Scottish people.
The cottage is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by stunning nature that reflects the true charm of the Scottish countryside.
Right in front of the cottage stands the historic Borthwick Castle, which we could easily walk to — it made the stay feel like living inside a piece of history.
This experience truly changed how I see Scotland — such a beautiful country with kind hearts, rich history, and breathtaking landscapes. 🌿

- Denise (9/5): Lovely property to stay in, would recommend - Attention to detail inside the property.
Cosy and warm.
Peace and tranquility in the evening and the view of the castle from the window. It wasn’t a major issue, but there was no radio or tv.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely pottery with great views, good facilities, and easy access to different walking tracks :)
- Damien (8/5): Very good - We wasted a lot of time trying to open the lock box, only to find we were at the wrong cottage. The picture of the door plus lockbox was very misleading
- Morris (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, well equipped cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Quiet, peaceful area with nice views and walking routes nearby.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything about our stay here. The cottage had everything we needed and was in such a perfect location. Can’t thank our hosts enough!
- Wayne (10/5): The perfect little getaway, the perfect hosts, I can’t recommend enough - The location was stunning, nice and peaceful. The cottage was so cozy and Samantha and Stefan were fantastic hosts who really did go above and beyond with their communication and some of the little extra touches. Nothing.
- Jordan (10/5): A peaceful, relaxing break in the Scottish countryside - The location was brilliant as we were going to a wedding at the castle. The pottery was so cosy and ticked all the boxes, both of the owners were so welcoming and attentive. We even got lucky with the chickens and had fresh eggs! We will definitely be returning. 5***** Nothing it was perfect!!
