Guest Reviews
- Mgcini (10/5): The hist Dennys and his staff were very welcoming and friendly, our 3 night couples retreat seemed too short wish we cou - It was very clean and affordable
Great value for money Can’t complain about anything
- Mondli (10/5): We enjoyed our stay - Quietness and cleanliness Nil
- Rialivhuwa (8/5): -
- Adele (10/5): - Beautiful space, spacious and well equipped, nice balcony with wildlife straight from your balcony. Very kind and communicative host. Well located if you were looking to stay right outside the park, 25 min drive to Crocodile Bridge entrance.
- wanessa (10/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Perfect stay. Couldn’t ask for much more. - Great host and a great property rental. Will definitely return. The wildlife was unreal you see it all and also nice walks to the river.
- Jon (9/5): -
- yan shuang (10/5): -
- Gerard (8/5): Geweldig - Mooie lokatie. Uitzicht vanaf het balkon over de dieren die voor bij kwamen. Bank zou beter kunnen was een slaapbank.
- Jane (8/5): Nice stay in the bush, memorable interactions with wildlife and peaceful downtime! - Location, layout, comfort, great outdoor area, private. Insufficient solar power to run aircons during power outage, no fans and windows sealed. Excessively hot. These were extenuating circumstances due to a storm knocking out Eskom power for 24 hours. The owner did, however, offer another night stay in compensation, so sincerely appreciated although we couldn’t take him up on it. He was most understanding.
- Ronda and Peter (5/5): We left Marloth feeling a touch stressed out. - Did not eat breakfast, location pleasant enough. Accommodation not wholly suitable for 3 elderly from 2 different families - privacy and shared bathroom not easy under those circumstances. Accom better for a family.
Also steep stairs x all guests elderly (79-82 years) - that aspect not expected before arrival.
Last night power failure despite solar installation - explained but VERY unpleasant to endure in the heat.
Access roads from tar in a dreadful state - given the recent floods there was some mitigation, but reputation of Marloth is such that dirt roads are known to be difficult to handle at the best of times.
- Zakele (10/5): -
- Unathi (1/5): Look elsewhere - Welcome Deceitful as the picture shows the main villa but you stay in a room that doesn’t consist of anything put in pictures.
- Xan Virgili (9/5): -
- Trish (3/5): - Location and animals Very steep narrow steps, advertised a two bedroom LUXURY APARTMENT. the main bed was in the lounge, come dining room come kitchen. Supposed to be self catering, 2 plate stove with no space to cook. No electricity for first two days no back up generator, we lost a lot of meat due to no alternative and no space offered in main house. There is a tiny fridge Definitely not enough space for 3 people, the bedroom and bathroom windows wired closed, a glass shelf in a shower with Grey tiles can cause serious damage. My partner turned while washing in the shower and cut his cherk on the sharp edge if it was a female it could have been her eye or head. I don't think the word luxury should be used for that chalet at all.
- Jaco (Josias) (10/5): -
- Karabo (8/5): -
- Shelley (8/5): Great, spacious place close to the Kruger - Loved the position and the viewing deck and the spacious apartment The windows were wired shut which may be more of an issue during the summer months
the kitchen would have benefitted from a meat tray and a dish drainer
It was a surprise to find the main bed in the main living area as I had searched for a 2 bedroom apartment, but it was spacious and the owner was attentive and available
- Bruce (9/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Belle découverte des animaux - La passerelle entre les dépendances et la villa , la cuisine , les équipements (super)
La villa au top ! Au niveau des dépendances, peu confortable et équipement pas top .
- Albrecht (10/5): We had a beautifully relaxing week in this luxurious house! Got to feed zebra - which was a dream! I would 10/10 rec - So spacious and beautifully decorated! The total bush experience we were looking for! The stairs… but that could have been fitness (lol)

- Maleka (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the way our host Denys treated us. He made sure the check in went smoothly. Communication was 100%
Our Chalet was exactly as on the pictures 100%
Marloth Park has many activities to do.
Animals roaming around was a bonus. Seeing them at close range was a bonus. The weather changed on our second day, but that's not controlled by anyone.
- Mrs. (8/5): Lovely stay - Everything Nothing

- Chezi (10/5): Beautiful place with animals closer to you and wonderful owner who is the to provide all the support. - The property had everything that one needs and it is closer to the crocodile river view where I was able to see hippopotamus and crocodile. The property was clean and the hospitality from the owner was very good.
- Melindi (9/5): Superb -
- Kasia (10/5): A wonderful house with everything you need to enjoy a stay in the bush. - It’s a great space to go with friends. The pool area is fantastic, with plenty of seating to spend time outside. It’s super close to the shops, restaurants and, of course, Kruger Park. All rooms were air conditioned, which was imperative when the temperatures peak. Great for locals and tourists alike. Our only complaint was the stairs to the Kitchener’s lounge area on the second floor. They are not very accessible for old people so please bear this in mind when booking if you are planning a visit with grandparents.
- Ilse' (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - The owner was super helpful and friendly. He explained everything in utmost detail to ensure a wonderful stay. The place is air-conditioned, clean, comfortable and baby friendly for our little 3 month old! We will definitely be back! It is also located right by the kruger fence on the river
- Du (3/5): Poor - Aircon did not work.
- Nkele (5/5): I left a day earlier cos I wasn’t happy at all - The house was not cleaned, the couches were dirty , one tv was not working
- Zandile (10/5): Perfect holiday - The property provided everything one could ask for on a holiday I wasn’t proper clean
- Mkhabela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zunaid (10/5): I wish I had more time to enjoy there. - The location so close to the park and animals within the property was AMAZING!!! The host Denys was SUPER!!!! Very informative and we felt very safe! A short hop to either Malelane or Crocodile Bridge gates. ALL the minutes and comfort of the city, all in good condition and working! I am very impressed and WILL return! I have nothing negative to say about this property!
- Sthembiso (9/5): Superb -
- Samuil (10/5): Amazing house, amazing host! - Great location, walking distance to the river. Lots of animals can be seen around 24/7 safari. The property has got a great balcony with a bbq.
The host Denys is super kind and nice to talk to. He helped us with suggestions for everything he even gave me an idea for a place to propose to my girlfriend 🏆✨✨ The property may benefit from mosquito nets
- Eugene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christelle (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable with all the necessary equipment for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The added option of a fire pit barbecue or gas grill for a quick meal was really a bonus as well as the comfortable beds and beautiful scenery.
- Smangele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haripulluvazhy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonia (9/5): Superb - The animals around the house are exquisite. Be sure to take sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples (remove pips).

The game, Giraffe, Kudu, Bush babies, Zebra, Warthog came to the lodge daily Nothing
- Mpho (10/5): Exceptional - location cleanliness and the host aohonecall away to answer n assist us
Thank you Denys Weekend coming to a end
- Theo (10/5): Exceptional - Pictures gave impression that there is a pool for everyone, but it seemed like the pool was for the main villa.
- Prudence (10/5): Everything was amazing our Chalet was comfortable had everything we needed and had visitors (Animal) -
- Moabelo (9/5): Superb - There place is so peaceful. The animals are just a part of every day life. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, I got all I needed without hesitation.
- Mwalimu (8/5): Nature extraordinaire- wild animals at arms length, tranquility and pure bliss. - Nature extraordinaire- wild animals at arms length, tranquility and pure bliss. The room is fitted with a stunning balcony/deck with views and a gas braai . The main villa was not occupied so I was given permission to use the Lapa, swimming pool and braai area by the host. The Host was in the US during my stay but communicated with me throughout.
Denys also supplied a kitted coffee station, a filter coffee kettle with the coffee and filter - super awesome. The aircon is powerful enough to counter the heat so big ups. Denys also placed two rechargeable lights for loadshedding which worked like a charm. Just to note- It took some getting used too- not that I didn't like it- but Booking.com didn't clearly show this;
The main bed (very big),dining table, couch and tv and kitchenette are all in an open plan. There is no partition- my eyes quickly adjusted and got used to that . The fridge is a mini bar fridge with a small freezer compartment so don't overstock like I did
There is a small bedroom with a 3 quarter for a kid which is kitted with a clothing cupboard. Connected to the open plan is 1 shared bathroom with shower, tub and toilet all in one.
When standing at the kids bedroom door- you can see the open plan including the bed so you cant really eat sweets at night if your kid is a light sleeper. Or you'd just need to be creative about it
- Joe (10/5): Lovely stay amongst the Marloth Park animals - Lovely accommodation and good value for money. There were two minor issues and the owner immediately arranged to have it resolved. Great service from the owner as well as the service providers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Mountain (7/5): Good - Facilities ???
- Christian (8/5): optimal located and comfortable for our vacation at Marloth and Kru7ger Park - Optimal locaction, wildlife observation from the breakfast terrasse, Fully erquipped appartment. very small oven with stove, pool not usable
- Chantal (6/5): It was nice to get away. Thanks - The location was fine. I just wasn't aware that there was no stove.
- Vusi (8/5): Very good - The house was good even the bathrooms where very perfect The lack of swimming pools it kills me a lot and the electric prblms
- Alinah (10/5): Loved the place and enjoyed my stay. - Loved where it's located you can literally see animals anytime.
Loved the pool.
It is so secure, felt safe. There isn't a stove 💔or iron.
- Dominique (8/5): Very good -
- Trevor (10/5): A wonderful holiday home close to Kruger - The property met all our expectations. We stayed in the main house for 2 weeks and it was an ideal base for visiting Kruger. Both inside and out the facilities were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the kudus visiting us at the boma when we had a grill
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Our host Denys was extremely helpful, always available when needed, location, facilities and accommodation was exceptional, truly a memorable holiday, 5 nights were not enough, would of extended our stay if it wasn't booked. N/A
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Michèle (10/5): Exceptional - We loved this place! Our appartment was spacious and with a big balcony. We loved thr balcony as it is right above the trees and you can watch monkeys and other animals passing by while enjoying breakfast or dinner. We had zebras, giraffes, warthogs and kudus pass by and relax right in our yard, which was an amazing experience. We never came closer to the animals than when staying in this appartment.
The kitchen is equipped well enough to cook all meals. There is also an outdoor fire place shich we used for a great barbecue.
Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, we felt so welcome! He gave us lots of great advice for activities and restaurants in the surrounding but also the rest of our trip and kept making sure, we are comfortable and safe!
- Petrus (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieran (9/5): Superb - Good location. Spacious room. Air conditioning made a huge difference N/A
- Onkarabile (10/5): Amazing - The host is amazing and welcoming. We didn’t have an iron
- Someliketravelling (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (7/5): Good -
- Nhlanhla (10/5): It was pleasant, relaxing, enjoyable and would give it a 5 star - It was spacious, clean and a friendly host Swimming pool only accessible from the main villa
- Angelique (7/5): Perfect getaway for long and short term rental. - We loved our stay, beautiful house, fabulous and friendly staff. Denys was helpful and friendly. Amazing wildebeest and kudu popping up in the garden made it so special. We wished we could have stayed there longer. Unfortunately the government load shedding of 11 hours a day was extreme. No one’s fault. No gas cooker for tea or coffee, no load shedding lightbulbs and no water for showering because of the extreme load shedding . Just a few additions to the issue would make the whole experience so much more pleasant.
- Alexander (10/5): Best stay in Marloth - We honestly loved everything. There is not a single complaint. The owner is really nice, the house was clean and smelt good. Everything you need for a getaway was there, it felt like being at home in the bush, perfect hot water and perfect water pressure. I have stayed in Marloth many times. But this was by far by best trip. 25km to crocodile bridge, what more can you ask for. There is no stove, but not a serious issue as there is a gas braai to cook on. But an oven would be lovely. Just a small camping oven
- Mabaso (10/5): Exceptional - Serenity, view of animals, perfect escape from the busy city Nothing
- Ainslie (7/5): Good - Loved location .
Animals roaming around fun But sparse on appliances .
3 of us one couch
More bedsitter with small add on room
- Desré (8/5): Very good - The owner welcomed us in person and were willing to go the extra mile!
- Christo (3/5): Poor - The fact that there is no safety railings for the children, the fact that you can only use the pool when the big house is open. The fact that there is no oven or anything. Very very uncomfortable there when you have a toddler
- Amy (10/5): Amazing stay with animals right on your doorstep - Such a beautiful chalet, easy to find and a great location. You can have a morning coffee on the deck surrounded by warthogs, monkeys, buck we even had a giraffe visit. Would definitely recommend -
- Vanderbank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (9/5): Superb -
- Diponyane (9/5): Superb -
