• Jonathan S Su (7/5): Great location but beware of hot days. - Excellent location if you are traveling by bus or train. The room and private bathroom are clean and walls are newly painted. Because it was at top floor, so the room can get quite warm. the bathroom and small side space only had shingal roof, so the heat insulation is not good. Given that there is no A/C option (there is two fans), if one is not good with heat, I would not recommend this place. The wooden door is also warped which means someone from outside can actually peek in through the crack. The manager did say that they will be fixing this problem.

• Larika (8/5): Preis- leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, vorallem aufgrund der Lage - Die Unterkunft ist nah an Galle fort und der Bahn, sowie Busstation. Es gibt ein privates Bad und ein Doppelbett mit Ventilator und es wird ein Handtuch und Toilettenpapier gestellt. Durch den Deckenventilator gibt es einen guten Luftzug im Zimmer. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Da es nah an einer Straße ist, kann es früh abends noch laut sein. Nachts ist es aber ruhig. Dadurch dass es keinen AC gibt, ist es etwas wärmer.

• Lea (8/5): - Die Lage ist perfekt zum weiter reisen. Es ist sehr nah am Bus und Zugbahnhof. Das Personal ist super freundlich und auch die Gegend ist hilfsbereit. Es ist sauber und ordentlich. Für den Preis kann man absolut nichts sagen. Das Badezimmer ist sauber und gut ausgestattet Es war abends sehr warm da der Deckenventilator alleine nicht genug runter kühlen kann.

I got down from Galle bus stand and walked to the location within 5 minutes and it only took me 10 minutes by foot to Galle fort. The land lord was superb and kind. Overall the room that I was staying was very spacious and had two fans. Very clean toilet/washroom. Would recommend to everyone.

• Giovanni (7/5): - La posizione era discreta se non si vuol spendere troppo alloggiando all’interno del forte e si preferisce fare una placida passeggiata per raggiungerlo dalla città nuova Potrebbero essere predisposte zanzariere alle finestre e acqua calda che mancavano. Stanza troppo stretta, forse risicata.

• Ann-marie (7/5): Used as a day room before airport - Friendly welcoming staff. Room served its purpose & good to be able to shower. Bed was quite uncomfortable so glad we were not staying overnight. Hotel is in a one way system that none of the Tuk Tuk drivers seemed to know. They also did not like coming from the old town

• Traisik (7/5): Stay in the Heart of Galle - This place was great, with a perfect location close to the bus stop. It was just a 10-minute walk to either the bus stops or the beach, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. There were no toiletries provided, except for tissue paper.
• Amy (6/5): Did not live up to expectations - Galle is very walkable so the location is fine and close enough to station and bus station. But there are very few places to eat on this side of town. Nice shared area to sit. It could have been just our room but it was incredibly small and airless. Even with the fan on full speed we found it very hard to sleep.

• Istvan (10/5): Exceptional and fantastic - We had an excellent stay! The owner was very friendly and tried to deliver the best for us. The place is clean, simple and has a great location. It’s just a few corners from the train station and the bus station. I can highly recommend it to solo travellers or friends! Lovely experience. & excellent.
• Iulia (10/5): Good short stay - We only needed the room for half a day, to store our luggage and take a shower, as Galle was just a short stop to our way to the airport. It was good value for money and the host very helpful.

• Kumudu (9/5): Marien inn was a another home for us in Gall city ...🌷🌷🌷 - Its a place very close to city center and can find easily .. So no need to going after tuk tuk or call cabs . It takes only few minutes to asses Gall Fort , city center, central bus stand or Railway station by foot from the place ..very clean and tidy place . There are many restaurants around the prosperity .so no worries to find food and other beverages .... The owner is so friendly and prompt responsive ...Having a good caring for his clients .The free space in the middle of the place is so helpful ..anyone can enjoy their leisure time at there . Its worthy for money . So hope to visit there again very soon for a madhu Ganga boat safari ....😍😍 nothing
• 品川根辻 (9/5): Superb - Very nice location. Very cheap price. Very tidy room.
• Fang (5/5): wont come back again - Very close to Galle train station and Galle fort. Stay one night there is cheep. If you can stand sleeping with mosquitoes and cockroaches, you will not feel unhappy
• Jaya (7/5): Good location but noisy, Not Terrible place for a night - - Walking distance to Bus Stop, Railway Station, restaurants and the main attraction -The Dutch Fort. Priced decently for Galle standards. - No hot shower option but you wont need one for Galle Weather. - Good size room & Bathroom - Not for light sleepers, there was constant vehicular noise from being right on a busy road and opposite to a hospital. - No Wi-Fi on the property. - There was only one charging port in the room and that didn’t work. Had to use living room port. - No drinking water tap/refill facility. - Non-AC property but i didn’t felt the need for one at least during my visit in Jan 2024. - Rooms should be priced lower considering above points.
• Myra (7/5): Great budget location close to everything - Location is close to railway and bus stations and historic Galle fort area is 15 minure walk. Common seating area with sofa, tables and chairs, tea kettle,and dishware. Mosquito nets on beds. Not many restarants nearby.
• Polina (7/5): A good ascetic place with kind hosts and nice location. But there is a problem with sockets! - Hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful. I thank them so much. Everything we’re clear and neat and it is not far away from the centre. There was no working socket in the room! Only in the lobby and not suitable for my phone charger. And it is a little bit noisy, I heard all the sounds from street. Maybe someone will be feel uncomfortable because room is really small and the furniture is old but sa for me it is ok for short stay.
