Guest Reviews
- Marco (5/5): Passable -
- Enrico (9/5): Authentic experience in a maroccan Riad - The owner of the place was kind and he gave us useful info. The Riad is really authentic. Difficult to find the location
- Lee (1/5): Bad - We booked triple deluxe room, which Pics of Riad on website not as presented on arrival. Bed very uncomfortable. Next day, Riad hassled us all day saying they wanted to change room, we were out on a tour and said we would do it when we returned, but THEY took our belongings and moved to another room. All our clothes etc were just shoved in our bags, all creased and wirse handled by someone other tuan us! Another guest said they did to her too. Riad on street said Riad Malik, internet same, Do not go there! They were very rude and aggressive. We demanded our money back, which they gave reluctantly.
- Oğuz (7/5): Good -
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing value for the price, slept well in the beautifully decorated Riad right in the city center.
The owner was really friendly and the breakfast and view from the terrace was a big plus. Perfect for anyone looking for a budget and authentic stay in Fes, would definitely stay there again.
- Lucy (10/5): Warm, welcoming, and sweet - Ahmed and the rest of the staff were super kind and hospitable. We had unrelated issues getting to Fes and ended up arriving really late at night, and he was there to welcome us when we arrived and checked in on us the next few days to make sure all was well, and even had tea with us on the terrace. There were some cats staying on the terrace temporarily while we were there and (as cat lovers) it was the best surprise ever, and we would’ve booked for the cats exclusively had we known. Altogether, Riad Zohar made our stay at Fes as lovely as possible
- Roslan (7/5): Good - Ahmed, the staff member, was really nice and helped me a lot with information on where I should visit. He also helped me print my boarding pass. Thanks a lot, Ahmed The location to the riad is quite small.
- Alina (9/5): Superb - Ahmed & the rest of the staff were amazing and very helpful! Everything looked like the pictures, breakfast was great and we even could store our luggage on the last day! The rooms smelled a bit (we think because of the pipes/water) but nothing to complain about :)
- Ismahene (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely experience such a beautiful old ancient city such a lovely kind and ready to help people
Lots places to visit and enjoy the real traditional morrocan lifestyle
Ahmed was very helpful and super kind since day one and made us very welcome a big big thank you Ahmed and we don't forget Abdul and the breakfast lady who made us a yummy breakfast
- Iveta (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Riad Zohor in Fez was one of the most pleasent experiences during our travels in Morocco. Ahmed and Abdul took great care of us, helped us with orientation in the city, helped us to get an amazing guide, enabled us sonner check-in due to our early arrival from Merzouga and made delicious breakfast and tea :))
We are very happy to have stayed at their beautiful and authentic house located in the heart of old medina (yet very quiet and peaceful) and experience the beauty of Fez with their help and hospitality.
- Senad (7/5): Good -
- Sezin (9/5): Superb - Thanks to Abdul and Ahmet a lot. They are perfect.
- Sezin (10/5): Exceptional - Ahmet and Abdul were very friendly and helpful. Although we didn't have time breakfast, Ahmet brought our take-away breakfast from the night. Thanks to him. They always asked whether we needed something or not. Abdul explained which places we should visit in detail. The location is really close to the blue gate.
- Alrica (10/5): Authentic, welcoming Riad inside the medina - Our tour dropped us at the blue gate which was an easy walk to the riad where we were greeted by Ahmed who made us mint tea and taught us how to navigate the medina. After carrying our bags for us up the steep stairs, he left us to settle in. Breakfast each morning was delicious but the location was the best part. Authentic restaurants are just a few steps away and evenings included tea and conversation with Ahmed. Shower was hot with good water pressure. We enjoyed staying in a place that was many centuries old. The internet was inconsistent and the beds were firmer than we prefer (though typical of Moroccan beds).
- Zaccone (10/5): Ahmed (staff) was Fez! - The whole point of the Riad is the staff experience, and this was a 10/10. Mostly due to Ahmed. He was what made Fez a great experience. I can't begin to tell you how he went out of his way time and time again to help us in so many detailed ways.
Also, our room was big, and it had heat! They could use some hooks for clothes and the bathroom.
- Michelle (9/5): This is a beautiful, convenient Riad to stay in while in Fez and the old city! - Our evening manager, Ahmed, really went out of his way to make sure everything was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Super friendly and you can tell he really loves his job and people. There was a smell coming from the shower drain that never truly went away. I think now they’ve determined where the smell is coming from they’ll be able to fix it. WiFi tended to be spotty, but again, Ahmed would take care of it when we asked. The stairs are very steep so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility problems, but we didn’t have any issues with them.
- Razan (7/5): Good - Breakfast and staff were lovely The bathroom has a bad smell probably because of the old piping. Room was cold, they need to install heaters and the mattress was rock hard
- Bin (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (10/5): Fantastic experience - My stay at this riad was absolutely perfect. The property is stunning, blending traditional Moroccan charm with modern comfort. However, the highlight was the staff, Ahmed and Abdul, incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed.
From the delicious breakfasts to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality made my visit unforgettable. I felt truly cared for every step of the way.
- Karim (8/5): A great experience at Riad Zohor - Ahmed, Abdul, and Lathifa looked after us very well. They made us very welcomed and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was the best we had in Morocco. This riad has great potential due to a wealth of period features. The shower pressure and temperature were great. The room we stayed in needed some updating. Some minor repairs and a fresh coat of paint would improve the quality of the room.
- Judit (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything. The staff, location, decor, hot shower, view from the terrace and the huge breakfast.
- Lena (7/5): Good - If it would be possible to give more than 5 Stars for the staff, WE would definitely do so! :) they are all saving the Riad ans Provider excellent service to the customers. they helped us to move around the city, explained about their culture when we asked and tried to do everything possible. the building itself ist beautiful but needs renovation. the Riad is located perfectly. everything Close. :) the owner should Invest more into the building. it wash cold inside the room and it was hard to get fresh air into the room. in the bathroom everything was a little wet and never really got dry.
- Khan (9/5): The location was excellent and very near to Bab Boujloud. Accessible to the public parking nearby and the hosts Ahmed an - The location was excellent and very near to Bab Boujloud. Accessible to the public parking nearby and the hosts Ahmed and Abdul were excellent in communication and was very friendly and helpful with loads of tips and information. They made the stay even better. Nothing much to say
- Talha (10/5): Exceptional - I did not have so much time to spend in riad but Ahmed and Abdul were extremely helpful and kind. They greeted me with mint tea and snacks as well as giving me lots of info about trip. Hospitality is top notch!! Some stuff can be improved such as lights or bathroom but not a deal breaker honestly.
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was amazing and welcoming. They gave us many good tips to visit the city and where to eat. Great place, very clean as well. Amazing terrace on top with cats that visit it to cuddle, if you wish
- Pavlina (9/5): Superb - The staff is very helpful:). The location is perfect - quiet street, next to the Bab Boujloud and the hustle.
- أيوب (10/5): Best Stay In fes - We liked the Riad and the rooms are absolutely magnificent and Clean and the shower water was hot, the Breakfast is huge and varied with local food from the area, the staff are great and we’re so nice and attentive thanks for the great time we had 🙏❤️ None
