- Saurin (9/5): - I gave overall 9 out of 10 coz of the location, otherwise, for the price this is five stars 10/10. From the spacious room, the cleanliness, the attentive service, the magnificent view and sunrise in the morning and the shared kitchen with all amenities, it was all excellent. It's a bit of a hike (34 kms) if you are staying here to go to the Alishan National Park but due to limited options in the park, you have to find alternate accommodation.

- Emma (9/5): Small village area with really great nature and views. - The location is near really beautiful nature trails and location to watch the sunset. You can also watch the sunrise from the balcony right outside. It's a bit expensive and I did find a few bugs in the drying dishes, so recommend rewashing before using them.

When I had an issue with the water pressure, I sent them a message and the issue was resolved within 30 mins Location is excellent with restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations all within walking distance. It's also a 1 hour drive to get to Alishan and 1.5 hour drive to get to Yushan National Park Large, modern and clean room The road beside the guest house does get busy during daylight hours so expect some noise Also, the guest house may be difficult to locate as their is no sign with the slow house name on it.

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. There's a terrace from which you can admire the sunrise. Kitchen facilities are available.

- LanShing (9/5): I wish I can stay longer - The room looked exactly like the photos on Booking.com, and everything was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable, and I liked the small single sofa seat in the room — a nice touch where I could sit and relax. The bathroom water pressure was strong, and the heater worked very well. Up in the mountains, a hot shower really feels like a luxury, especially after a cold day outside. But the best part was the sunrise right in front of the homestay’s yard. Waking up early and watching the sky slowly change colors over the mountains was such a peaceful moment.

- S (10/5): Cosy, homey stay in the mountains (and great tea!) - The location is perfect, just a minute from the bus stop and a few minutes from an awesome view point and the Tea Mist trail. 24/7 convenience store is 2 minutes away. Its at an elevation so you can see out into the mountains from your room. Even though its so close to the main road it feels secluded and you can have your morning coffee at a shared outdoor space overlooking the sunrise if the weather is right. It's a very simple homestay but I was surprised by all the amenities provided. They have a free washing machine (but no dryer and its cold outside so keep it in mind when you wash), hot water and even heating and a fan in the room. The soundproofing in the shared rooms is not the best but the guests are all considerate at night. There is a kitchen to cook as well and hot water for tea/noodles. The room was very clean with a storage rack, hangers, drawers and even a small table and sofa to relax. The whole place just feels very cosy and comfortable in its simplicity. Staff accommodated my request to hold luggage a bit earlier so I could hike in Shizhou and check in later. They also provided a very informative check in. The family that runs this homestay grows a very delicious Alishan tea so please try it (they provide free samples in the room)! I regret not buying some while I was there, its a very delicate tea that doesn't have any lingering bitterness and smells so aromatic. Some doors can creak a bit loudly, maybe helpful to grease it so it creates less sound at night.

- Gwen (10/5): Quiet and clean accommodation - Clean, spacious and comfortable single room, well equipped kitchen and a terrace with a fantastic view. Close to the bus stop, so a good location for exploring Alishan and the area around the guesthouse is also very beautiful. I wish I’d stayed longer.

- Laura (10/5): - Mon sejour à la Slow House s’est tres bien passé! Les lieux sont tres propres et confortables, la vue depuis la terrasse est incroyable et permet d’observer le lever du soleil. Il y a l’arrêt de bus juste en bas qui permet de rejoindre le parc d’Alishan très facilement. J’ai pu rencontrer des personnes merveilleuses à la Slow House. Aussi, la dame qui gère la slow house est tellement accueillante, arrangeante et gentille. Je recommande à 100%! My stay at the Slow House was wonderful! The place is very clean and comfortable, the view from the terrace is incredible and allows you to watch the sunrise. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it very easy to get to Alishan Park. I met some wonderful people at the Slow House. Also, the lady who runs the Slow House is so welcoming, accommodating, and kind. I recommend it 100%!

- Hui Wen (10/5): 已經預備要再來第二次了，也推薦給很多壓力大的同事😆想要放輕鬆、靜一靜思考人生、呼吸新鮮空氣，這邊絕對適合唷！推推🫶 - 本身很愛獨旅❤️ 常常去台東或其他地方走走 這次有五天的假期，排了三天來這裡 1.嘉義火車站搭7322就能隙頂站下車 車程一個多小時，100初頭超划算，站牌到民宿走路10秒。 2.民宿跟照片長得一樣超級美，環境也非常乾淨，不會因為是老宅就角落有灰塵，越南小管家打掃的非常乾淨，而且人很親切！ 3.公共衛浴乾淨到不行，熱水也很穩定，重點還有免費洗衣服與洗衣精，對爬山很會流汗的人來說真的超感謝🙏 4.樓下走路30秒萊爾富，走路30秒阿宏的家（菜菜超多的火鍋，老闆娘超級熱情，甜點白木耳也超好喝），走路30秒龍舞雲海火鍋（可惜老闆這次有事店休），如果有特別想吃的食物，帶上山，公共廚房超居家，煮火鍋、做早餐都沒問題👍 5.搭一站公車就到二延平入口，弱雞如我也能四個小時內走完兼吃完午餐，回民宿補眠超舒服。 6.民宿開門就能看日出，水嘎😍 7.老闆娘人超好，還借我登山杖去爬二延平，訊息都會回覆，雖然這次沒看到本人，但還是能感受到是位很實在很友善的民宿業者。 8.床是扎實帶點小彈性的那種，不會硬到睡不著或軟到腰痠背痛，我超喜歡。 沒有不滿意，但希望能有烤箱或微波爐，山上吃東西很容易冷掉，微波爐很方便可以加熱飲料咖啡或食物。

- 佩貞 (9/5): - 整體環境和空氣極好 老闆娘很客氣也很用心 悠閑的吹著風泡個茶 舒適放鬆 很棒 山上難免有蚊蟲 但有電蚊燈 門要關好 也沒什麼大問題
- Shin Yeo (6/5): - 小小農舍的感覺，房間整理得很棒。 我們入住的這幾天遇到阿里山大雨，晚上雨打在屋頂非常大聲，入睡有點困難。另外，自然環境導致房間有許多蟲，如蟑螂、蜈蚣等。
- Eleanor (10/5): Comfy, convenient, homey - clean, conveniently located to bus stop, great service, had a great and comfortable stay. Excellent location to be based in for multiple mist and tea treks Walls a little thin, got to put earplugs if youre a light sleeper
- Adelheid (10/5): Relaxing homestay in Xiping - Such a nice homestay and well located to do a lot of hiking around Xiping. You even can go to Alishan for one day. The hosting family was very friendly and helpful and all was super clean. Nothing to improve!
- Shu (10/5): I had a good rest! - Location is great, along main bus stop lines. Close enough to Eryanping trail, can take bus or walk to trailhead. From accommodation I walked to steep stairs of Tea and Mist trail then returned from Eryanping trailhead, walked back to accomodation. Friendly local lady boss, I still remember her red flowers that she planted along the terrace. The scenery on a clear day! Meeting other friendly travellers at the homestay. Slow travel. Soundproofing- but I knew of this from others review and I expected it.
- Manshaant (4/5): Disappointing - Warm welcome and room well stocked with tea. Good location and views. Cleanliness not up to expectations. Got quite a few bites.
- Alvin (10/5): Exceptional - So far the best accommodation I've had on my backpacking trip in Taiwan. If ever I'll be back in Alishan, I'll still consider staying here.

- Nicolette (10/5): very comfortable. good rest. - host is very friendly and the accommodation is very cozy. shared bathrooms are very clean and there is a kitchen and washing machine if needed. location is perfect if you dont have a car, Xiding bus stop is right outside. aircon is strong, water is hot, beds are super comfy. lots of bugs in general during summer (went in end may) but accommodation does a great job in preventing bugs in the rooms. also can catch a nice sunrise view from the accoms balcony one thing to note is that the quadruple room and 2 single rooms are located in the same “house” with a nice common rest area outside. but the bedroom doors for each room do not join to the ground ie. no soundproofing - so if there are other guests occupying the other rooms, you will need to be completely silent so as to not disturb the others. if you have a big group of 6, you should just book out all 3 rooms and you will get an entire house to yourself.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - The rooms are in a traditional house, with a nice terrace. The bathrooms were recently renovated and are very nice. Overall, it was similar or better as what I expected from the pictures. The building is rather charming but has 2 main shortcomings: - it is REALLY noisy. My first nice (alone there) was perfect, the second nice, a group of overgrown teens had a hard time not speaking too loud. - the inner walls are not in contact with the ceiling - this is probably good for air circulation, but it means mosquitos can fly throughout the house, and more surprisingly that mice can poo from the ceiling. I spotted one piece of mouse droppings on the bed when I arrived in the room (it was easy, it was white and clean). The next morning, I could hear something falling on the bed, and I saw a white mouse walking along a beam… The owner seems very mice too, unfortunately I barely saw any staff after arriving. It would be useful to indicate the wifi password in the lounge because I couldn't find and found find anyone to ask.
- Marianela (10/5): Exceptional - It's really close to the bus stop and has a lovely view. The room was very comfortable and the shower had hot water. The wifi was also ok. And even though I can't speak Chinese the staff was really friendly and helpful. There's not that many places to eat around. It's not something I didn't like, but something to have in mind. There is a convenience store close by though, so that's really helpful.

- Hui (10/5): Great location with surrounding environment - Really love the view and the Eryanping/ Tea mist walk about 20 mins walk down the main road near the lodging. The front yard was spacious. Friendly owner and lovely neighbour cats and, of course, great and convenient breakfast and hotpot shops nearby. Made a friend from Thailand, which was also solo travelling, and we had a great dinner sharing our travel stories about Alishan and what nots. Sadly, I didn't have any luck viewing the beautiful sunset over at eryanping as the fog coverage was too thick.

- Jade (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location with stunning views. Hostel was right next to a walking trail. Very helpful owner. Bathroom was not in the room- it was outside the main building.
- Jarelle (10/5): Relaxing & picturesque - No doubt that is going to be my favourite stay on this trip - facing directly east, you can see the perfect sunrise if the sky is clear, and star gaze at night at the front porch. Old house but refurbished and really clean. A short throw away from the Eryanping trail and located just a few steps away from the main road bus stop. There is also a washing machine that you could use. I wish I had more days here! Thank you.
- Florentina (10/5): Great for short stay, beautiful view, great location near the bus stop, 7/11 nearby, hiking trails. - Great location, 1 min away from the bus station, close to 7/11, and near the start of the hiking trails. Good value for the money! Recommended! The room was not that well isolated, so you could hear the person next to your room; however, these are single rooms and the guest from the other room was very respectful and quiet.
