Guest Reviews
- GEORGE (9/5): The location is very good for Nevis, Fort William, Harry Potter Bridge, Water falls, Isle of Skye.. - Good directions given, but a Little bit tricky to find as bit out in the wilds, which is what we were after. Sat Nav did get us there in the end. Could not find the property initially but fortunately people were using a boat in the Lough and gave us direction.
The stay was self catering and we took a box of groceries and bought food as the week progressed.
Beautiful location, as explained on the pro-mo literature, great views of Nevis with forever changing panorama.
Fortunately my nephew lives in Fort William who was on hand if needed.
Our 3 children were mountain camping down the Great Glen and Skye, then joined us later in the week. They were very happy with the accommodation at the lodge.
Heating was simple and effective, wood burner was a great benefit. Great parking.
The location is very good for Nevis, Fort William, Harry Potter Bridge, Water falls, Isle of Skye was also a great day out.
I could see where JK Rowling got her inspiration for some of the names in her books....
I truly wonderful experience for us all, would book again.
Kind regards.
George. Map of where the lodge was would have helped, as getting dark and concerned we would not find it.
- Steff (8/5): - The location is really handy for Fort William and exploring the Highlands. The views from the apartment are beautiful. It is clean and tidy and the beds are very comfortable. The log burner is a lovely addition. There's loads of storage space and the furniture is all good quality. The kitchen has everything you need. We would have liked a bit more instruction about which parts of the outdoor area was ours to use. We also weren't quite sure where the recycling bins were.

- kerrie (10/5): - Spacious and super nice apartment with lovely views. Our host had the fire going so it was lovely and warm on arrival. There were also some very welcome Christmas surprises including some smoked salmon which were had for christmas day lunch. There is a walking track along the loch.

- Antcude (10/5): Amazing Stay is a fantastic location - The location is amazing. The loch is a the bottom of the garden, so easy to wander down and have a swim. Plenty of walks and you can run 6 miles to Fort William along the canal path.
- Jeremy (10/5): Amazing place in an amazing place! - Loved the fire place and little touches like having milk and coffee ready to go! Beds were comfy and whole place was spacious. And what a view!!
- Pauline (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing holiday location - The accommodation was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Lovely peaceful location beside the loch with nice walks around the area and easy access driving to Fort William along the back road to Banavie.
- Oliver (8/5): Very good - Lovely setting but not quickly accessible to main roads The stools at kitchen counter are too high for adults to sit comfortably.
- Judith (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable, well stocked with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. Excellent location for visiting the Great Glen, Caledonian Canal, Road to the Isles, Ardnamurchan etc.

- John (9/5): Lovely lodge but not clearly signed up until your by the front door. - Located by the canal and the pine lodge. Midges and loads after 2 days of none they hit us with vengeance.
Use the smidge spray to keep em at bay
- Krzysztof (10/5): My favourite self catering place so far :) I'd love to visit it again. And again. And then again :) - Cool place, very cosy, felt like home. Good spot to visit surrounding attractions. Very minor drawbacks, like some utensils like cutting boards could be replaced.

- Matt (10/5): Hogmanay at Tall Pines Apartments - If you are unsure... get it booked! Lovely, cosy apartment, we are a family of 5, and there was ample space for all of us.
The location is superb. There is a little public footpath down to the Loch where you can indulge yourself in cold water therapy 😀.
Honestly, everything described is as it says it is.
Hopefully, we will return! NONE!
I've seen other comments about signpost... if you follow the What3words app as suggested, it leads you right to the spot exactly!

- Janina (8/5): Lovely accommodation in stunning setting! - Comfortable and clean accommodation on the edge of Loch Lochy. Stunning views of the loch and mountains from the living area and glorious walks directly from the property along the loch amongst woodland. Would highly recommend a short, wintery break in this accommodation with the log burner keeping us all toasty warm. Kitchen reasonably resourced for self-catering, with good bath and showering facilities. The double mattresses were sprung so softer compared to what we’re used to.
Not signposted, so had to follow written instructions which was a little challenging in the dark!
- Christina (9/5): Superb - Sign at last turning
- Anonymous (10/5): Superb. What an amazing place. - All of it. 👌👌👌 Nothing….
- Hendrik (10/5): Excellent experience - Everything Nothing
- Tomas (10/5): Spacy and comfortable, calm and romantic - Spacy and comfortable cottage on the banks of Loch Lochy/Caledonian Canal - really calm and romantic place. In the ground floor bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet. Upstairs living room (fantastic view of the Loch with passing boats entering the Canal, and lot of light due to roof windows), fully equipped kitchen, another bathroom with toilet and washing/drying mashine, two bedrooms (one with double bed, the other with a single one). Fantastic running trail (5 km there and back along Great Glenn Way northwards) starting at the beach in front of the cottage. Possibility of heating very welcomed as the weather was traditionally scottish :-). We enjoyed our stay at fullest! -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was lovely and plenty of space very clean amazing views of Ben nevais and Loch lochy Nothing
