Guest Reviews
- Linda (8/5): Would definitely go back 😃 - Couldn’t fault it 😄 As above 😃
- Joanne (7/5): Good - The location of the Park was ideal for our stay and it was very quiet. The lodges were very clean and modern and appeared fairly new. Missing crockery and chipped cups. Would struggle to accommodate 4 adults. Didn't realise one of the beds was on a mezzanine level that required climbing a ladder to get to it and no head space.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb -
- Rahul (9/5): Superb -
- Deokar (10/5): Wonderful staying - The accommodation facilities are excellent. Something different which feels good for me and my family. Location wise it's a bit far from the city centre, but we can manage with Safekab because uber is not working in Inverness.
Reception staff should be available 24*7 in case of any emergency.
- Svitlana (10/5): Everything is fine. - I recommend it to everyone. Everything is clean and cozy. The house has everything for a comfortable stay.
- Tabitha (10/5): Comfortable and well-designed, with everything you need for a self-catered stay. - We travelled up by train and rented a car later. It was lovely to be able to walk into town and back for dinner, taking in the Ness Islands on the way.
Peaceful, low key.
The cabins themselves have been pleasingly designed so that every inch of space is used in a clever way. Lots of storage space, plug sockets where you want them. Good sized fridge, fully functioning kitchen. Comfortable pull-down bed. Black-out blinds. Heating/ temperature perfect. Kids slept above us in the loft space (reduced head height but big, wide mattress. They fought over the duvet so take a spare if you have 2 kids). Top tip: there’s a secret cupboard in the wall behind the toilet, which is where the spare toilet roll was!
- Frieden (8/5): Lovely lodges right by the canal - convenient and clean. - Very good location right next to the canal and canal path, easy walk from Whin Park, Aquadome, Botanic Gardens, River Ness. Bus service is absolutely atrocious though so don't rely on it if you're visiting without a car! Booking.com replied to messages with incorrect information about check-in and check-out time. When I contacted Torvean directly they were nice and gave me the correct info. Normally I would book directly with the place but their own website had much higher prices than booking.com. I'm not sure why that is.
Only feedback I would give on the lodge itself is that it could definitely use a better instruction pack - how to work the heating, the Murphy bed. Also there were four of us for four days and only two rolls of TP - that felt a bit stingy.
The place would be hugely improved by a wee play-park.
- Sándor (10/5): Very clever solutions for beds and space usage. - Nice location and very calm area Some power surge and blackout.
- Heather (8/5): Good value for money, has everything you need and friendly staff. - Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Very clean. Would’ve appreciated some local information, very little literature in the property. I arrived later in the evening in the dark by train and taxi and felt really disorientated the next morning, wanting to know things like the nearest supermarket and when the takeaway out the front would be open.
- Steve (8/5): Lovely comfortable lodges - The lodge was very well equipped and comfortable and in a lovely location by the canal. The TV ariel was not working, apparently a whole site issue, which meant no television in the Lodge during my stay.
- Renan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Husna (9/5): Pleasant stay in Inverness - We had a tiny house that was very pleasant and comfortable. It has everything we need and very cosy. We loved it very much! Nothing not to like.
- Julia (8/5): Met up with friends and family. Had a good catch-up. - Warm and comfortable Having a wee accident and ending up in hospital 😬
- Emma (9/5): Superb - The lodge was spotlessly clean, felt fresh and new, the location was ideal and staff were helpful and friendly. There is also a really handy hot food takeaway on site. Despite being so handy to town it was so quiet and peaceful. We'd stay again. Only that the pillows were pretty flat and I imagine if we stayed in the summer the early sun would wake us up in the morning as frosted glass with no blinds at the top of the lodge. Need to bring an eye mask.
- Ashwini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Recommend this site - Great location, spotlessly clean Mezzanine bed but I expected it so it was fine.
- Nick (7/5): Good - Quirky lodge. Daughter loved the mezzanine bedroom. Out of your control but the lodge backed onto the premier inn car park...it was quite noisy late at night (emptying recycling into the bins etc) and noisy delivery early in the morning with the biffa bins being emptied.
Also, for the price we paid for 2 nights thought we would have been provided with more than half a toilet roll for the stay!
- Moira (9/5): Perfect for a short visit to Inverness. - Comfortable and practical with easy access into the city centre. We missed a coffee maker! Should have brought our own cafetière.
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (10/5): Perfect, a stunning area. - Accommodation was ideal for a short stay. Easy going staff, modern accommodation - very close to all amenities. Beautiful scenery in the area, Inverness is compact with lots of good pubs and restaurants. The walks through the islands are only a short distance from the property and are simply stunning. A perfect destination for all ages, including couples, friends and young families. All good
- Sally (1/5): Worst booking experience. - I was not able to check in to the property The communication. The property never replied my message, and it was impossible to reach the reception especially after 5pm. The emergency number provided was not being helpful at all.
- Carson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional - I would highly recommend this site, absolutely beautiful lovely and clean and the staff was wonderful really good value for money we are going back next year ❤️ Nothing
- Kesavan (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, spacious, May neeed fan during summer.
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent setting within easy walking distance of Inverness. The pods were spotlessly clean and had all you would require. Nothing
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Warm and comfortable Nothing
- Shan (9/5): Lovely - Thank you for everything, we had a super pleasant stay! Thanks to the hosts, who where really nice and helpful, I would recommend a stay at the Torvean Holiday Park anytime!

- Skinner (10/5): Great place to stay - Very nice accommodation. Comfortable and clean.
- Linda (8/5): Great site on the banks of the Caledonian canal - The location on the banks of the canal is lovely. The camp site was good although we just used our cabin as a base and didn't require any of the additional facilities like the showers toilets etc. There was nothing we didn't like, the site is basic with no facilities like a bar but that was fine for us.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly, helpful staff. Exceptionally clean. Super comfortable bed. I'd definitely go back again . Nothing to dislike.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Devine (10/5): Really good -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy, bigger inside than it looks, we'll equipped Nothing
