- David (8/5): Charming farm cottage, a good value stay with a kind host. - Marion is a lovely host: very kind and understanding. (We caught a flat tyre just round the corner: she and her son Christopher were super helpful finding us a contact and sizing up the tyre for a fix. Thank you.) It's a working farm so was quite fun listening to the sounds of the animals waking the morning! The location is pretty remote, so just worth being aware it's hard to get phone signal or data if you need to get online.
- Lynn (10/5): Homely comfortable and peaceful - The peace and quiet. The beautiful garden which the owner allowed us to relax in. Gorgeously comfortable bed! Great breakfast in our own dining room.. Very friendly welcoming owners. Absolutely everything we could have wished for. The stairs to our room were a little steep for someone with dodgy knees but manageable.
- Blackburn (10/5): Peaceful - Clean, comfortable, and quiet Nothing

- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, great price, extremely quiet, loved hearing the animals at night, AMAZING breakfast! The tiny roads leading to the farm - but these are just all over this lovely part of England. we would recommend you use a smaller car...
- Derek (10/5): Perfect peace, spot on and just back from the main hustle and bustle of life. - An extremely warm welcome by Marion , we were firstly shown our room followed by a pot of tea and biscuits. Marion also gave us an introduction to the local area and local points of interest, including places to eat and a map of the area to assist our local travels out in the car. Basically the stay was perfect in every way! Nothing, the property and hosts, plus cat gave us everything, perfect peace!
Marion’s local knowledge helped us to visit the areas that we had researched to include in our stay.
- Mac (10/5): A charming place to stay. - The location is typical of Devon down a narrow country lane and the farmhouse is very attractive with a stunning wisteria in full flower when we visited. Comfy room, tasty breakfast ( fresh eggs from the farm hens )and welcoming hosts. A delight. Nothing.
- Anju (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional - Shute Farm was lovely place to stay, easy to find and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was also very good. Thank you Marion for welcoming us making our stay enjoyable.

We really appreciated the help that was given when moving our luggage from the car to the house.

- Mark (10/5): Comfortable, friendly, fantastic breakfast - Seeing the farm animals in the morning Bathroom a little small
- Victoria (10/5): Excellent stay, would easily recommend - Very clean, very well maintained and good quality furniture. Great value for money and the breakfast was first class. Marion was very welcoming and helped us find somewhere brilliant to eat. The roads to it!
- Valerie (10/5): Enjoyed our stay, breakfast was delicious. Marion and Ken were the perfect hosts. - Gorgeous farm, lovely garden, perfect for relaxing in.
- Bill (10/5): Marion and Ken were very welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding and definitely stay in the future - Warm clean tidy and homely and in a beautiful spot with added farm animals A very positive stay the only very small criticism is the road to get there but as it’s the countryside you put up with it
- Christopher (8/5): Homely, friendly, peaceful and comfortable. I would stay again. - A warm welcome greeted me, a very peaceful location, homely, clean and is quite unique in a good way. The shower/toilet is small but a nice clean bright space. Not easy fitting modern facilities into a period building.
