Cheap and comfortable rooms conveniently close to the airport so somewhat forgiving of maintenance issues and quirks (such as a non plumbed bath tub that empties onto the bathroom floor!).

The hotel has large comfortable rooms with breakfast available or there are several restaurants nearby. The owner can organise transport to Hanoi and they accept visa card payment. I have stayed here many times.

He was a great communicator in the morning. He also arranged a driver to take us into town for the evening and recommended where to go. Great friendly staff and airport transfer car was available early morning for $5 It seemed quite dark inside and the room and bathroom were a little dated but perfectly fine for a one night stay.

The room was great, there was a food outlet right across the street, and they supplied a ride to the airport even though I had to be there at 5 am. ($5 US dollars / 130,000 VND) Much appreciation to Quan, my driver, for getting me to the airport so early! (Quan speaks very good English, as well. Nice to be able to converse with your driver). Not the fault of the property but the taxi driver I had was VERY unhappy with me as I was only riding a short distance and not all the way into the city. He stopped just out of the airport and spent ages checking the location before pointing out the hotel was close by, which I already knew. He wasn’t happy at all so be prepared for an issue with such a short taxi ride.

We had a flight early in the morning and we were worried to miss it, so this why we preferred to stay close to airport. The airport and hotel is very far from the city center/Old Quarter, so you won't find many options to eat and other services in the neighborhood, but there is a good café and restaurant crossing the street. They gave us a room upgrade and also oferred a ride to the airport for a very good price.

The host, who picked us up at the airport, was communicative throughout the process, in a lively and pleasant way. The hotel is right near the airport, so the drive was quick and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet – just what we needed. And there is a lovely fish pool in the lobby – beautiful koi. We would definitely recommend the Chio Hotel.

The room was fairly comfortable and clean. The lady who runs/manages it was so lovely! Few issues with hot water but was sorted pretty quickly. There aren’t many decent places to eat near the hotel so be prepared to eat average food!

Breakfast very nice 👍,on my next trip to Hanoi I will be staying I will be going around tourist area but I will make sure that in the night I come back to Chio hotel, whoever reading this and wish to visit Hanoi, we are told to be around old quarter but it's too busy and noisy, do everything and have a good rest in nice hotel, I can't fault anything at Chio hotel Just one night, I felt like I robbed myself the peace by spending many days in old quarter and make this my last day but lesson learned 😞

• Mike (8/5): Excellent staff, ideal airport location - We needed a budget airport hotel for an early morning flight, the Chio suited our needs and there are enough bars and restaurants to feed and water you before you go within easy walking distance. The staff were superb, I would recommend
• Harmony (10/5): Very helpful host and convenient to airport - The host was super helpful for check in and check out and as far as helping us get on the bus out of town etc. Room is very large size with hot pot, fridge and for purchase items available too. This is a convenient place to stay near the airport. It isn’t perfect, but it accomplishes the task at hand which is rest from a very late flight.

• Robert (8/5): Chio Hotel. - As a nervous lone traveller the manager's calm manner was really helpful. Picked me up personally from the airport for only $5.... My flight was over an hour late. Organised several trips for me around Hanoi and personally prepared breakfast early on these days. Stayed in touch with me during my 3 night stay in Hanoi and arranged a pick up from my Hanoi hotel for my return to Chio to catch my flight the next day. Very attentive. Upgraded me as a better room was available. Can't fault it. Will use this hotel again when I return next year.

• Sarah (10/5): A smooth experience, a comfortable stay and warm, welcoming staff. - We booked this place last minute as we had an early morning flight the next day. The staff at the hotel were so accommodating and greeted us outside and helped us with our bags. We were lucky to also have our room upgraded to a larger one which we appreciated! The bed was super comfy and we had the best sleep. The following day the hotel also organised a ride back to the airport for us. Nothing

• Damian (5/5): Passable - The receptionist tried to charge me 300,000VND extra for absolutely no reason. When I corrected her, she agreed, but continued to try and charge me the extra amount
• Dzieciol (7/5): A cheap and safe place to stay to save yourself the trouble with the morning traffic. - Location, fast check in, big room. The receptionist was trying to sell me a taxi ride to the airport for 100k even though I showed that grab does this service for 50k total. A bit of a touché, but nothing big. There was mould in the bathroom and it smelled like the drainage.
• Deborah (9/5): Good airport hotel option - Very nice hotel 3 min from the airport . Very convenient for early morning flight. Staff were very friendly. Room was good size with good AC. Room was a little musty but the AC worked great.

• Manon (10/5): Great stay near airport - The hotel is nice and clean. The owner is very friendly, gave us a room upgrade and when I asked if there is a pharmacy on the airport he offered to bring me to one. The hotel is close to the airport (5 minutes driving) so very nice if you just arrived or are catching an early plane.

• Anonymous (7/5): Loved the staff, room was fine for one night but was a bit expensive. - The staff were awesome - super helpful and kind. It was $45 for one night for one room, so the price felt really steep. There is also not much near by, so eat before you tuck in for the night there.

• Timothy (10/5): Great place to stay if arriving late from an international flight - We worked with Quan, one of the hostel staff. He communicated with us before arrival and scheduled our pickup from the airport. I lost an item on my international flight, and he called/emailed the Vietnamese and Japanese help desks to put my lost item claim in and I ended up getting my bag back. He delivered coffee to our room and scheduled our private car to old city Hanoi the next day. His service exceeded expectations and helped tremendously after a long international day of travel.

• Erik (8/5): Very good - Friendly owner who gave us a bigger room as a free upgrade. It is cheap and "close" to the airport. It is some distance but if you don't have big luggage it is definitely possible to walk it! With a big suitcase it would still be possible but when we were there part of the walking path was still under construction so it would be hard to move the suitcase and also in some parts you have to walk close to the big street (which wasn't a problem late in the evening and the early morning since there was not much traffic so it felt safe to walk there)
• David (8/5): Very good - The main concierge Mr Dinh Quan is very friendly, nice and always went out of his way to solve our problems and to help us out. The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious and it was really easy to get to the airport, being only a few minutes away. If you stayed in Hanoi and had to catch a plane, you'd have a 45+ minute journey to contend with, along with the hazard of Hanoi street chaos. N/A

• Mr (9/5): Great option for layovers or early flights in Hanoi - Convenient location near the airport. Very attentive and helpful owner/manager that helped with airport transferd and good value transport to/from Hanoi. Good breakfast. Surprisingly good view. Excellent option for your layover between flights or if you have an early flight and want to avoid the Hanoi morning traffic. A bit dusty in certain parts.
