Guest Reviews
- Robin (10/5): - The host was very hospitable, we didn’t arrive until late, but he still managed to ensure that we were met with a welcoming vibe and hot tub that was ready to receive us straight away
- Jordan (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay here. The photos don’t do it justice. Met by Paul on site and was a top gentlemen. Really help - Everything. Nothing
- BarefootVet (10/5): Pure romantic relaxation in the beautiful countryside - The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, always happy to help when we needed.
The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was lovely and warm, so comfortable you don't want to get out of bed!
The log burner in the hut kept us warm and made it very cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and the BBQ hut was awesome also to cook in and roast Marshmallows.
The hot tub was the cherry on top! Lovely and warm for a fun outdoor star gazing experience!
- Debbie (8/5): - The peaceful surroundings of nature. A very comfy, cozy bed and the hot tub.

- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - If peace, quiet and tranquility is what your looking for, as we where, then this is it. Paul was there to meet us and run through things. After that anything you need just give him a call. Once your through the gate you have total privacy. The hot tub is already heated for you and the bbq in the hut is ready to go, light the fire pit and relax and enjoy. The bed is super comfy, the shower is good (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel if you need it) , lovely towels, bathrobes & slippers. Relax, enjoy & unwind. There's a hob and a small fridge in the hut with plenty of cups, plates & saucers, cutlery and any pans you may need. We made toast on the firepit for breakfast. Ladies, be aware you cannot use an iron or a hairdryer, but you can charge your phones. We had an amazing time and left feeling relaxed & happy.
- Kieran (10/5): Thanks for a great couple nights away. Went as a couple with our pet spaniel as a birthday treat and this did not disapp - Nothing not to like! Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): Off grid haven with a splash of luxury - Location was stunning and remote enough to enjoy peace and quiet with our little furry friend 🐶.
On arrival the hot tub was being heated up for a dip - it was ready by the time we’d unpacked and settled, along with a gift of chilled Prosecco and a box of chocolates. There was even a box of treats for our little dog. An added bonus was that the owner, Paul, had internet connection problems due to his provider, which meant we were totally off grid for our stay. He had forewarned us, but it just meant we had more time spent relaxing and chilling in the wood fired hot tub with no chance of interruption from the outside world.
A lovely touch is the hobbit hut with indoor BBQ area. This meant that even though the weather wasn’t good we could still eat with a hint of al fresco! The garden has been thoughtfully designed with hidden areas for sitting quietly or relaxing on the hammock that’s big enough for two, listening to the relaxing flow of the river or the gentle clucking of the chickens in their run. Paul was attentive without being too much (mainly because he was concerned about us having enough electric power in the dull weather - we had plenty 😃).
Everything was clean and well presented, with all that you need, provided. The whole stay had a sense of this being a very special place without trying to be ostentatious, with the right balance of practicality and comfort. The bed was particularly comfortable with such exquisitely soft bedding. It was like having a hug from the duvet all night.
Paul, thank you we will be back. A bigger fridge to fit more bottles of bubbles 🤣🤣🍾🥂
- Lozz (9/5): A lovely off grid experience, the bbq hut was such a special touch and made such a unique addition to our break! - Picturesque setting, secluded location, everything you needed to cook either in the hut or in the bbq lodge! Overall a lovely stay, only thing i would say is when we stayed the WiFi signal was very slow likely due to the weather!
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place to stay in, we enjoyed listening to the wildlife. The hut is nice and cosy. Nothing I can complain
- Melanie (10/5): Excellent very relaxing - Very clean, beautiful location, well equipped
