- gonzales (10/5): If you’re looking for a place to just rest your head and reset for the night. Here’s your place. - Love the conveniency of the location. The prices were the best, compared to the plenty of overpriced airbnbs. It’s a great place to stay for a weekend if you plan on spending most of your days out. The room we had didn’t have an abundant amount of space, just the necessities. Bed, bathroom w/ shower, AC, chair, and small luggage storage. Which is perfect, makes me think how much wasted space we use at times. The only negative thing I do have to say, was it had a slight scent of dog pee. Not sure if it was from people staying there? It wasn’t a huge deal for us since we were hardly there, but it did smell every time we went up the stairs. Elevators were fine, in fact they even had frebreeze in there!
- Sasaki (10/5): Amazing good location so clean kindness host - Host was amazing Nothing

- Guest (6/5): - Proximity to the convention center at an affordable price. No refrigerator. No vending machines.no ice maker.
- Edgar (7/5): Although the place is in a great location i would say the room was not properly cleaned. The staff had puppies in the ha - Located right in the Gaslamp Quarters, near everything. Room was very dusty. Hallway constantly smelled of wet dog.
- Robert (8/5): Convenient, centrally located, easy access to private space without hassle. More firm, orthopedic mattresses please when - Easy to get settled in. Clear instructions to access door codes. No complications to get in and out. The mattress was to foamy. They need to put real mattresses. The foam block I had for a bed destroyed my back.

- Guest (10/5): Hotel GiGi, a must stay - The location next to Petco Park and being in downtown is close to everything. The room is very comfortable, it's exactly what I needed. Can't say this hotel is really cool. A mini refrigerator would have been nice but that's a minor thing.

- Anonymous (5/5): Great location, decent place to sleep and get a shower, not much beyond that. - The location is the biggest perk, you’re in walking distance of everything downtown. Air conditioning worked great. The shower is extremely small and had a cheap shower curtain that we had to manage to make sure no water was getting out of the shower on the bathroom floor. The outlet cover for the bathroom vanity was not screwed in and kept falling off. No dressers or anything to be able to really unpack during our stay, so be aware you’ll have to live out of your suitcase.
- Ronald (4/5): Not what i expected - The location is great for moving around downtown San Diego. The room was clean and overall it was fairly quiet. I only have one complaint. When I arrived after a long day of work, I lay down on the bed and it collapsed. Now I know that sounds funny but I only weigh 170 pounds. The legs on the end of the bed were broken. I tried to contact someone to fix but nobody came. I had to sleep on a broken bed to 2 nights.

- Stephen (5/5): I enjoyed my stay at hotel Gigi.the location was great and value was good compared to other options in the area - The location was great No soap and the room was smaller than expected
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Sharif (10/5): Exceptional - The price was great..next to everything..blue line rr..all the hot spots are in good proximity.. Petco Park is 100 yards away..room was comfortable and clean like a studio apt

- Nazar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mead (8/5): Very friendly and helpful staff. - Very easy to book and find. There was an issue on booking.com for my room code but staff were very accommodating to help me find the code. I just wish there was better parking availability. You’ll need to find parking in one of the public spaces but it was no big deal.
- Rajiv (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Small, convenient, nice room I got to stay at for $125 after tax - Location was perfect, heart of downtown San Diego, less than a 5 minute walk from Petco, an ideal spot if you'd like to visit Gaslamp. If you're looking for a budget option for a room in the area and want a bit more privacy than what's available at a hostel, this hotel is the best compromise for both. Some complaints might be the room being too small, but for what I wanted I thought it was ideal, my room acted as a base of operations for my excursions around San Diego. Parked in the ACE parking garage that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel, ended up paying $25 for overnight parking which I don't think was that bad, and due to the phenomenal location I was able to walk virtually everywhere I had wanted to go to. Total price was $125 for the room, $25 for parking (left my car in there for 24 hours as I killed time around the city). I was happy with my stay, would definitely stay again, the only warnings I have is the bed will be too small if you're taller than 5'10" and if you book the budget small room. Also, fair warning if you're booking out of the country. My experience was seamless as I had gone through booking.com per the owner's suggestion, however I had to assist another tenant with getting both into the building (there is no traditional lobby, just a small desk in front of the elevator leading to the rooms) and into her room. You book the room online and get a text message from the hotel that has details on how to enter both the building and the room, however since her phone line was out of the country (she was from Mexico), she never got details and was stranded outside the place until I assisted. Thankfully through multiple calls with staff we were able to eventually get the details she needed to actually enter her room, however with the language barrier I'm not sure how she would have gotten in if I wasn't able to assist, she might've gotten help from another passerby, but who knows how long that might have been. This won't be an issue for the majority of Americans who are looking to stay here, but just putting this as valid criticism just to be aware.
- Juan (9/5): Will come back - Clean, great location, good price No parking
- Jasper (7/5): Good -
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (7/5): Clean great location - Convenient, clean, great location Bed was broken and uncomfortable. Although the shower was great for disabled, it was not suited for abled bodies
- Eric (2/5): Very poor - A strange unlocked my room door and entered my room at 3am which totally shocked me. He apologised and left the room. Discussed with hotel staff on next day as it is a staff-less hotel without front desk and I was told that he was a hotel staff who entered my room by mistake. Apparently Room door can be opened by backup passcode. Told staff to remove the backup pw but they refused. Felt unsafe totally!!
- Dara (3/5): Poor - I like the location. I didn't like that the sink was leaking. The walls are so thin you can hear everyone's conversation even in the room across from us. We got woken up from people trying to open our door lock. We also don't feel like we trust the code lock on the doors because we could open our room with the front door code too. Which made us afraid that other people could open our room.
- Melina (7/5): Good - Convenient, pin lock, easy location, quiet Sheets smelled, the shower soaps were not the best quality and gave me an allergy, host didn't respond to texts
- Madelyn (6/5): Nice enough - Location Shower is leaking where the head is screwed on.
- Jeremy (4/5): Worth $100/night, not $200. Wouldn't stay there again for the money. - Its located right in the gaslamp diatrict No frills, tiny shower w grimy curtain, and loud, jarring noises from what I think was a broken elevator all night
- Erich (10/5): Great location, clean accommodations, understand the check-in and checkout process. - The hotel Gigi was fantastic, clean, small, great location. Only thing make sure you know this is a staffless location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and you’re right near the wharf with the Midway carrier. When you make your reservation, you’re sent codes to get you into the building and get you into your room. Also, you need to lock your room so they don’t lock automatically. Those are just two things. Really nice stay.
- Juan (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (9/5): Great location. Excellent value. - The location is excellent. The rooms are very clean. The amenities are basic but if you want a place to sleep and shower, it works well. Overall, the value is very good. The room doors will not open until exactly 4:00 pm so even a 20 minute early arrival will have you waiting in the hallway. Since there is no in-person reception, I guess that is fair.
- Oliver (10/5): All in all excellent spot - Super clean comfortable and great location Didn’t pay attention to no front desk ck in and a little challenge to get code into room
- Steve (5/5): It is a clean hotel at a good location. Good for one night stay if you cannot find a better place. - clean, good location. It is a bare-bones hotel. There is no coffee machine, facial tissue, or desk, and the shower water is so small. It took a long time to shower. Overpriced.
- Bernice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keegan (5/5): Passable -
- Miles (9/5): Superb - Easy, clean, convenient. Exactly what I needed. The shower curtain did not reach the ground so water spilled into the bathroom floor.
- Richard (1/5): I was not aware that it was a staffless hotel when I booked the room. I will never do that again. - It was clean and quiet There was no one to help with any questions and there was no place to load or unload luggage also it was difficult to find. The sign out front was so small. You could barely see it from the street. I had to ask one of the valets in the hotel next-door where this hotel was. And there was no place to park after we unloaded.
- Zina (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (8/5): Enjoyable stay. - Price value, location Would like shelf in shower to set toiletries on
- Celesa (8/5): Good for overnight stay. - Location. Rita the host was very helpful with early check-in request. Noisy. Could hear the room above footsteps.
- Daniel (3/5): Bad -
- Yingjie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Juner (5/5): Passable - The shampoo in the room was terrible.
- Chengliang (3/5): I had a very unpleasant experience staying at this Airbnb. The biggest issue was excessive noise from the neighboring r -
- Gemaki (8/5): Great location! - The room is so cute!
Great location for the value! The box of shower is a little small...
- Shannon (9/5): Great place to lay your head down. Nothing fancy. - The location was great. Simple but clean. The host was there when we arrived. She was very kind. Parking was a pain due to no onsite parking. Which when I opened my email right before arrival I discovered. That will teach me. I was warned. There was a concert in the area on our arrival day so it made finding parking an even bigger pain. Had to park about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
- S.s. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yanshu (4/5): Disappointing - It’s convenient. Self check in. But the room is small and just a room Just a room
- Jose (8/5): Ok for a day or so , last minute - It’s conveniently located walking distance to bars, restaurants, and central. It’s cute and it serves the purpose. It was clean and had the basic accommodations (basic shampoo, 2 towels, etc). It’s nice but the rooms are small. The restroom is tiny. The bed (mattress and pillows) were so uncomfortable. It was just me (I’m short and average weight) and the mattress would sink to one side!
You can hear people walking by your room- the walls are thin.
I think it was a bit overpriced.
- Hogan (8/5): Perfect for what we needed - The hotel manager was very nice and accommodating. The location to Petco/Gallagher ampetheatre was perfect! Few amenities
- Hudan (7/5): Good - Convenient to SDCC,walking distance, 10-12 min walk. You may come back for a break if tired. Shampoo, condiction and body wash can be in better quality.
- Tianrui (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): If all you need is a place to stay the night like I did, this place is everything one would need. - It was very minimalistic. I was only there to sleep and the place had all the basic amenities without the frills that would have been a markup at another hotel.
The best part was that it was within walking distance from the event I was at, so there was no need for an Uber. It’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close enough attention. There’s only a paper sign in the door. Had there been a minimal sign above the front door, that would be helpful in finding the place upon one’s first visit.
- Jennifer (10/5): Can’t wait to come back - The location, in the middle of downtown. The facilities were well lit seemed safe for my son and I. The value allowed for us to have extra spending money. I don’t need a coffee maker, iron, all the extra decor that just gets in the way. Was quiet and comfy. Super clean. I’m sure my fault. We didn’t realize no shampoo and conditioner. No big deal $15 at CVS was worth a safe quiet place.
- Helgudottir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Siribha (4/5): Not value for price - Low rise building, so easy to walk down in case of emergency Help from staff
- Jaden (10/5): Great private room. Great stay - Great little private room, self check in, just easy over all. Nothing
- Wendy (8/5): Nice place if you just want a bed to sleep on. - The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our room was near the street so we could hear people talking as they walked by.
- Kim (10/5): Awesome - Great location Location and cost
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Decently priced for a great location, especially if you are visiting a convention at the SD convention center. The person responsible for the hotel was very easy to reach and very friendly.
- Joshua (5/5): Only for an emergency - Location was excellent The shower was super small and the head couldn't move much, so it was always spraying at a weird angle. The bed could have been cleaner as well - lots of stains.
- Pierschbacher (9/5): Overall, very satisfied. - Great, comfortable place with an excellent location Parking would be a barrier to a future stay
- Prahlad (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Excellent value!! - Location was excellent. Great service, answered the phone and helped me with my issues immediately.
- Pete (9/5): Simple but awesome hotel and Rita the host was extremely helpful and available - ONly 2 blocks to Petco Park
- Krystle (7/5): Great location for Petco Park, good price. minimal amenities - The location is really wonderful if you're attending an event at Petco Park. The staff-less check in process is great. The air conditioner was pretty lame and the room was quite warm. A counter top in the bathroom would be appreciated. Unfortunately someone was killed a block away. Not the hotel's fault but stay inside at night
- Farkhod (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Andy (7/5): Good - Rita was very nice and helpful. The location was perfect for our concert at Petco Park and visiting the Gaslamp area. Would recommend for a short stay for any event downtown. Very small shower and no counter space in bathroom. The room space was under utilized could have fit a small table and a couple of chairs.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Leslie (9/5): Really great respite for a short visit. Super comfortable. - Well poised No coffee
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Justin (9/5): Very little to complain about. The space was perfect as a solo traveler. Instructions to access were easy to understand. - Easy to get around. Downtown location. Toilet paper holder and towel rack were falling off wall. Floor was dirty/dusty.
- M. (6/5): Pleasant - Location was perfect There appeared to be no on-site staff during check-in which made things awkward when a number of people were trying to check in at the same time into the very same rooms.
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Vytautas (7/5): Good -
- Casey (3/5): Poor sleep experience, beds not up to hotel standard and just standard sheets not hotel grade - Location-brilliant Bed, was not what would be expected, plastic over mattress with no mattress protector and sheets not fitting, so you sleep on plastic. Sheets should be at least double sheeted on bottom to ensure comfort and hygiene.
- Koufie (8/5): Very good -
