• Lucia (7/5): Small flat in Ballaro area - Small apartment with two bedrooms. The upper bedroom has a very low ceiling, you can't stretch out at all. The lower bedroom is small, but ok. There is a coffee machine in the flat and a small kitchen. The location of the apartment is central, but it is located in a not very safe part - in Ballaro. It is ok during the day, but at night it is not the safest part. The apartment was on the top floor (no elevator). It had two rooms (the top one has a lowered ceiling and is open). The apartment is nice, but it is cold and there was no heating. We slept wearing jackets. The water flow in the shower was so weak that we could not wash our hair.
• Angela (6/5): Ok für eine Nacht, aber leider nicht für länger, da die Wohnung doch sehr alt und unangenehm ist. - Die Wohnung ist in einer sehr rauen, unangenehmen Umgebung, jedoch ist man tatsächlich sehr schnell im Zentrum, dass bei einem kurzen Aufenthalt positiv ist. Grundsätzlich auch sauber. Das Gebäude und die Wohnung scheinen sehr alt. Der Wasserdruck im Badezimmer ist schwach. Die Betten sind sehr niedrig und hart - leider sehr unangenehm. Beim Obergeschoss wo das zweite Bett ist muss man stets geduckt gehen, da sehr niedrig.

• Morgana (9/5): A due passi dal mercato di Ballarò - Struttura pulita ed in posizione centrale, a due passi dal mercato di Ballarò. Comoda anche per la disponibilità di parcheggi gratuiti sulla strada nei pressi dell'appartamento. Fabiana è stata gentile nel farci fare il check-in in anticipo. Il mio soggiorno è stato eccellente, consiglio soltanto un paio di punti per migliorare ulteriormente: un profumatore per ambienti nei pressi del bagno ed uno specchio a figura intera.
• Monica (5/5): - De locatie, midden in het oude centrum Het appartement viel tegen omdat bij aankomst 1 slaapkamer niet was opgemaakt met beddengoed en de airco's niet goed werkten. Niet makkelijk te vinden. Er wordt ook niet gecommuniceerd dat je in dat deel vd stad een speciale pas nodig hebt om te parkeren. De host reageerde wel op onze mankementen dat is een pluspunt. Voor 1 nachtje ok maar niet voor langere periode want het is een donker appartement met heel klein balcon waar je niet met een stoel op kan zitten

Wonderful and awful at the same time. ;) Nice, clean, very close to the center, but requiring numerous minor repairs Check-in went smoothly, and we were provided with a small refreshment. The street was narrow and off a side street, but I felt safe. Requiring minor repairs - leaking kettle, coffee maker itp.

• Lucy (10/5): I wish I could stay longer! - The place is located in close proximity to the main tourist attractions. The towns market is just 5 mins away with all fresh products every day and delicious street food! The flat itself is quiet and comfortable. The second bedroom is in a loft, with a low ceiling, but as long as you remember about it at night, it's all good. The flat was clean and the host was very caring and attentive. Generally it was a lovely stay, I hope to come back there one day. Thank you.

• Florencia (6/5): Vacaciones en Italia. - La ubicación cercana a Termini y de otras zonas turísticas ya que me daba la posibilidad de ir andando o en metro. La relación precio/calidad. Me resultó muy caro para las prestaciones de la propiedad. La habitación es muy ruidosa, se escuchaba ruidos muy fuertes cuando tiraban el botón del baño de la habitación de al lado, hasta la vibración del celular se escuchaba en el silencio de la noche.

• Elisa (10/5): - L'appartamento era davvero carino e ben curato. Io viaggiavo sola ma spazioso anche per 3/4 persone. In una zona autentica, centrale di Palermo e molto comoda per spostarsi a piedi. Come dicono in altre recensioni, forse la sera può non sembrare troppo sicura la zona ma non ho avuto problemi.

• Claudio (10/5): Consigliatissimo, accogliente, pulito, centrale per visitare Palermo - Appartamento ristrutturato di recente, molto bello e accogliente. La notte super silenzioso. Pulitissimo. Posizione strategica per visitare il centro di Palermo. Bisogna essere consapevoli che non si arriva in auto. O a piedi o in taxi perche' in zona a traffico limitato.

• Fabio (1/5): AWFUL. DO NOT STAY HERE. COCKROACHES - The only thing positive about this place is the location but it absolutely does not make it worth staying here! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Where to start. The check-in was not a smooth process, then when we were let into the apartment there was no WIFI. This apparently couldn't be resolved as we were using the accommodation...?? Then to top it off, there was COCKROACHES!! On the first night of staying here, I saw at least 5 cockroaches. Unfortunately my phone had died - not that I had WIFI anyway - and so when I told the host in the morning, I was met with the most ridiculous and insulting response "the cleaner hadn't seen them, and if you see them take a picture?" ... Imagine. Instead of apologising or offering to clean the apartment, not only was it implied that I was lying as the cleaner hadn't seen them (who by the way wouldn't have had access to the property between the text I sent and at the point of sighting) IN ADDITION, I was being asked to ??photograph?? them. Insulting. The next night of course, there were cockroaches again, so I did photograph them to which I just got a "sorry". Unacceptable behaviour and regard towards a paying guest. Nothing was done, there was no backtracking of the ridiculous comment the night before or any suggestions to make the stay more pleasant. To top it off, the water pressure was rubbish, the mattress was uncomfortable and there were the strangest stains on the sofa. Of all the non-hotel accommodation, I've stayed in across Europe and Asia this is by far the worst. Honestly, just stay somewhere else, and don't like such awful accommodation ruin the beautiful sights of Palermo.

• Laurie (8/5): Conveniently located with comfortable beds. - The apartment was easily accessible and check-in was easy. The host provided all the information very clearly in order to check-in. The apartment itself was clean and beautiful with very comfortable beds. Some equipments didn't work so well - the coffee machine leaked from two different places and should be repaired or replaced. One person in our group also experienced problems with water pressure in the shower but this was not my case. The chair in the entrance had a broken part and should not be used. The location of the apartment is pretty much in the historical center but it can get shady at night. Someone shouted aggressively and banged loudly on the building door for several minutes twice when our baby woke up at night and cried, this made us feel pretty awkward. I would not really recommend this accommodation if you are traveling with young children who go to bed early as the soundproofing is not ideal.
• Shuai (2/5): Very poor - Review We had a pleasant time in Palermo. Check-in was frictionless with a code The place is situated very well in the center right around the corner of the Cathedral. It’s a quiet street at night, the apartement pleasantly furnished — the room with the second bed can be closed, which makes traveling as four people convenient. The shadow is in the details: Though our host was quite responsive, we had unpleasant interaction. Due to an error on our side, we had only booked for two people. When trying to bump it up to 4 people, they tried to take advantage of the situation and initially wanted to double (!) the price of the room. We settled for 75% more, but it’s still much more than the 50% markup for two additional people when booked via the website. Their refusal to grant a second pair of keys was an additional negative; as it was quite hard to organize the evening with the parents wanting to sleep early — but needing the key to keep the fuse box on. The leaky coffee pad machine and loud outside pump that activated every two minutes at night didn’t faze us that much anymore afterwards. It’s worth a stay — but this time the experience was something we cannot reccomend.
• Rebecca (7/5): A good apartment, close to attractions - Nice apartment, great location very close to Palermo's attractions (5 mins walk to the catherdral). Check in was easy with a lock box. Good communication from hosts. Overall a comfy apartment and clean, upstairs bed was comfy. Kitchen was sufficiently equipt. Street parking was close by however wasn't sure of the parking regulations as people just seem to park everywhere! Appreciated milk, water and juice being supplied (rest of the breakfast was minimal) Note - Apartment is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Bathroom had an unpleasant smell. There was a machine (not sure what it was for) outside the window which made loud noises every few minutes. Food for breakfast was provided but was very basic - one croissant, a few small packets of 'toast' and jams for two nights. Kettle leaked. TV turned on but didn't seem to have any channels to watch. Light leaked into the upstairs bedroom as one window had no blind and the other had an insufficient blind.

• Kristi (8/5): Authentic Sicilian Experience. - The apartment was very nice and newly renovated, near one if the busiest markets. The interior was very tasteful and authentic, especially the two different floors and beautiful staircase. The Neighbourhood felt at first not very secure, but I grew to love it. In general i was really happy and would visit the place again. There were some seasonal (winter )problems. Like even when air cnditioner was heating, the level with the bed would get really warm, but the level downstairs stayed cold. Durning the longer rainshowers, there was some leaking from the wooden beams on the ceiling. And the direct view from the balcony was not a great one, but there can be nothing done about it.
• Irina (5/5): Freezing cold nice place by Ballarò - Location smack bang by the Ballarò market. Easy access from ring road. Very quiet. Dangerous-looking but apparently safe free street parking within meters. Spacious, pretty, new, nice bath, comfy bed. Host didn’t respond to questions (except for internet-shouldn’t have to ask though). Freezing cold apartment. AC-heating takes ages and only heats upstairs loft (bedroom). Downstairs (bath!, kitchen, “living” area) remains super cold. key needed for power, so heating goes off when you leave. Bedsheets were used (how disgusting), fridge and coffee machine very dirty. Coffee for only 2 espressi. “Breakfast” was milk, rusk, jam, small juice, cornflakes- not like in the picture. “Lamndmark view” is a ruin/house two meters across. With little input this place would deserve its rating.

• Amanda (9/5): Palermo - Close to the city centre and street markets. Unique loft in the roof. Comfortable and clean. Although the loft is unique it gets slightly warm on a hot day as well as the light which comes through the skylights. The photos showed oranges and cereal, but there was none there.
• Natalia (8/5): Great apartment - Our host was friendly, helpful and responsive. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and was comfortable. The apartment was great and very close to the historical centre. Whilst the location was only a VERY short walk to the historical centre the location of the apartment was in a lower socio-economic part of town.

• Matija (10/5): Exceptional - A nice appartment in the old town of Palermo. It was clean and comfortable. We arrived late and there was a bit of food ready for us for the breakfast as well as a couple of beers. The host is also very responsive and accomodating.
• Klaudia (10/5): Exceptional - All was very good. Host tried to help us from the beginning until the end of they stay. Apartment was clean and well-equipped. Sleeping on a bed in the attic is a very nice experience - we enjoyed that a lot. The neighbourhood but it’s not host’s fault. I truly hope it will get better one day.
• Maryna (7/5): Good - It was a separate apartment on the last floor. 2 bedrooms (we used only one upstairs). No problems with water pressure. The coffee machine wasn’t working correctly so we need to do a lot of wiping to not destroy the cabinet. There is a small square near the house, where were parties organised occasionally. It was loud in the apartment (in every room) during the ongoing party. The district felt not safe during the dark hours. Nothing bad happened but we had some coins prepared every time we go outside in the evening. Locals (from around Ballaro market) spot tourists perfectly and ask for money.
• Laszlo (9/5): Superb - Great location. The apartment was comfortable for the two of us, though it might be a little tight for more people. Soft beds, pleasant bathroom. We did not meet the host, but s/he sent multiple messages and was quick to answer. There are parking spots in the vicinity, though you'll probably need to walk a few minutes. The apartment is on the third floor, so if you have issues with mobility or fitness, this might not be the best choice for you.

I was traveling solo and she checked on me whether I arrived safely and provided me advice when needed. The apartment has an amazing atmosphere, the location is great and everything works perfectly. • Thi (10/5): Very charming, clean and quiet apartment in the heart of Palermo - - Beautiful, quiet and charming apartment just a few minutes walk from all the sights - Everything was super clean - Free coffee and one bottle of water, also things for a small and sweet breakfast - Homy feeling - Very friendly host - I drove around for a while to find a parking spot. You can park for free at Via Antonio Mongitore (you're the closes to the apartment if you park at the end of the street). It was also a little bit challenging to find the apartment because I didn't have all the information to find it (door number), but the host answered pretty quickly. Otherwise everything was perfect!

It was clean and there was a small breakfast included. The host was flexible and accommodating. I experienced the area as somewhat questionable in the evening when I arrived. There were also no open restaurants in the area. The breakfast could have contained a little more fresh products.

• Bianca (9/5): Great place! - The place is very nice! Great location, the cutest balcony, clean etc. Very recommended! Good to know that there are cameras in the hallway of the staircase. I didn’t know before so I was surprised to find out and felt a bit watched even though it’s just in the hallway. They could also be more flexibel. I was asking for 30 min extra check out time and wasn’t possible. I also had a friend staying unexpectedly for one night and I had to pay full extra fee. A middle way isn’t really possible. Just too bad as the place is really lovely so bit more flexibility would be appreciated. Still highly recommended because it’s amazing the appartment.
