• Chloé (9/5): Great stay ! - I really enjoyed my stay at Jiufen Mountain Stay! The location was amazing, the price was very reasonable, and I loved the overall design and atmosphere of the place. The only thing I didn’t really like was the bathroom setup. It wasn’t very practical to change clothes inside the shower area, especially since there was nowhere to hang a towel or a bag. Also, the bathroom being mixed might make some guests a bit uncomfortable.

• Kevin (10/5): The staff here made my stay 10X better. - The staff really made my trip 10x better. They were very patient with me and friendly and happy to talk with me even though I am very bad at the language. I have a comfortable and cozy cafe that you can hang out and have a coffee or drink at and have really good prices. The beds in the capsules can be a bit firm but they were still very comfy and the place was always pretty quiet.

• Caroline (9/5): - Super emplacement, proche des bus et du centre-ville. Capsule confortable et assez spacieuse pour garder son sac à côté de soi. C'était très calme et la vue sur les montagnes depuis la pièce commune est vraiment sympa. La douche n'est pas la mieux aménagée et la "cuisine" manque d'ustensiles de base, comme de vrais couteaux pour ne serait-ce que couper des fruits. J'ai pu en emprunter un auprès du café qui gère l'hostel mais l'équipement est quand même trop basique.

• Lynsey (10/5): Awesome budget place to stay in Jiufen - Excellent location and spotlessly clean. Can be a little noisy depending on other guests.
• Ellen (8/5): Lovely capsule hostel in Jiufen - Great location and very convenient. Everything was really clean and the environment was lovely. The view is stunning! It is really close to old street and two bus stops, but not so close to the noise and bustle which is nice. Everyone was really nice and the capsule was cosy and clean, and there was even a little fan for ventilation. The showers were very clean and there's even a box that pulls out so you can keep your clothes clean. The pillows are very flat, and it can be quite noisy when people get up early or in the middle of the night. There isn't really any space for your things in the capsule, so it can be a bit cramped. The bathroom also ran out of soap and paper towels and there isn't really anyone to contact about it. The showers are also not great for taller people! I would still recommend this hostel, especially for solo travellers.

Another plus - conveniently located: it's just outside the bus stop, a short climb of stairs to Family Mart/7Eleven and entrance to Jiufen Night Market.

View from common area is very beautiful I really recommend it I think it’s better have separated bathrooms for men and women and not mixed . Impossible to find the place on google maps, because name in booking and on google maps are different, I did it with local people help , they check it in cinese

I changed the dates of my stay last minute and they sorted it with no fuss at all Not a complaint, just advice that the staff don't speak much English - we were completely fine using technology to help

• S (9/5): Luxuriously cosy mountain stay. - What a lovely luxurious stay. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable capsules with a fan provided to make sure they are ventilated. Capsules are also lockable. I love the storage system in the showers too, it keeps your stuff dry. The amenities are very modern and well designed for a comfortable environment in a hostel stay. Its also very close to the Old Street so easy to get around. The staff are lovely and helpful, I had some problems with the lock on my capsule so they assigned me another one. Shampoo/body wash and hairdryer provided. Great view from the common area. The provided slippers are a bit awkward to navigate on the stairs. It would be good to have separate bathroom slippers provided. The bathroom sinks in the capsule room can be really loud but thankfully all the guests were very quiet and considerate.

• Samantha (10/5): Confortable - The bed capsule was superb it has a sliding door that you can lock . Its like you have your own room but a small one. But the capsule room was spacious there still space for things and bag . And there was a table on a side. The bed and pillow was comfortable. Nothing.

On a day when it was raining heavily, the shoe dryer available for guests turned out to be an absolute lifesaver — after a full day of sightseeing in the rain, my trekking shoes were warm and completely dry by the next morning. I honestly didn’t expect such a useful amenity in a place like this, especially at this price. -

• Jon (7/5): - I’ve been before and would come back again. Very straightforward and easy to use. I had the same room as in April but there was a terrible smell which was extremely unpleasant. Number two needs airing and a deep clean.
