Guest Reviews
- Samir (8/5): Antigo e charmoso.
- Babette (10/5): Great apartment for a stay in Rome ! - Beautiful apartment super well located - right by the bus stop aujourd’hui walking distance to most key points in Rome. Very friendly host and everything you need for a comfortable stay (towels, air conditioning, fridge, soap, etc.).
- Leo (2/5): Disappointing stay – not suitable for families or adults expecting basic comfort. - Location. This apartment has some serious flaws—some of which are repairable, but others are simply unacceptable.
First and foremost, the general cleanliness is very poor. We found cotton swabs in the floor gaps, and to our surprise, the cleaning lady had left all her tools in the middle of the apartment, as if it were a utility closet. In the kitchen, a dirty floor-cleaning rug was stuffed into the cabinet next to dishes that were not properly cleaned.
The towels appeared never to have been washed in hot water, and disturbingly, we found dead insects in some of them.
There are also some very bizarre design choices. The ceiling is around seven meters high, with only two exposed bulbs providing extremely harsh warehouse-style lighting. At night, when turned off, they switch into a sensor-activated “night mode” that continues to emit light—and there’s no way to fully turn them off. If you’re sensitive to light, especially while sleeping on the upper gallery level, this will be a serious issue. There is no separate light for a gallery, not a night lamp.
The air conditioner is located just half a meter above the bed on the gallery level, where the ceiling is under 2 meters. During a summer heatwave in Rome, this placement almost guarantees eye or ear inflammation from the constant airflow.
The bathroom, although newly renovated and visually appealing, has no window and the ventilation is ineffective. This causes unpleasant smells to spread throughout the apartment. The shower is also problematic—it can’t be adjusted to a practical height, and the water temperature changes unpredictably from hot to cold.
Overall, the apartment is overpriced for what it offers. It might work for very undemanding young travelers, but it is absolutely not suitable for families or anyone expecting basic standards of comfort and hygiene.
- Kate (8/5): Charming apartment in a great location. -
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect vacation in Rome - Amazing location, historic building, lovely host. I hope to come back here again! Everything is good, but because it’s historic building, there is no elevator at the building.
- Krystal (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location!
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Storey (9/5): Vacation to Italy - This place is wonderful, it is exactly like the pictures shows. The location is hands down amazing right in the middle of the city walking distance anywhere you need. There is a convenient store at the corner of the street. I had a wonderful time here.
- Emma (10/5): Great location, great host! - I had the most pleasant stay in this spacious apartment. It really feels more like a home away from home. The place has a lot of charm and character, and I felt extremely comfortable with how spacious it was. Having stayed at other more modern looking accomodations, I would choose Lovely Piazza Navona apartment time and time again.
The location is perfect and in such a walkable city as Rome, it’s in central location to reach the main tourist attractions on either side of the Tibre River on foot. Just a couple minutes walk away from the liveliness of Piazza Navona.
The kitchenette is the perfect convenience and well stocked with cooking necessities. In previous accomodations I had to go out to the shops to buy simple things like oil, salt, soap, kitchen towels, etc. however I found everything I needed in this apartment, which made it so easy to cook for myself as I have certain dietary needs.
Bathroom is great. Soap, shower gel and shampoo provided if you did not bring your own. Heaps of towels too.
To top it off, communication with Paola was so friendly, quick and hassle free. Check-in/check-out was very simple. It really makes all the difference having a great host that replies quickly when you’re clueless in another country! I cannot say enough great things about the hospitality and flexibility.
If and when I do come back to Rome, I will be very eager to book this accomodation again! Nothing.
- Vasile (10/5): Good experience - Location was amazing, exactly what we were hoping for.
Host was very agreeable and tryed to accommodate us as best as he could. Apartament was first time rented to us so there where some details to fix.
- Flavio (10/5): I enjoyed the apartment and Rome - Beautiful apartment in historic building.
Next to Piazza Navona the apartment was nice with orignal old floor. Wifi fast and no noise from outside i really recommend.
