Guest Reviews
- Kerai (1/5): -
- minett00 (5/5): Wonderful location, but room description is misleading - Wonderful location with stunning view on the Source of the Nile. We booked an "Entire Chalet" classified as a "One-Bedroom Chalet", but in fact we were given a room in a building with 5-6 other rooms. When I complained, the staff told me that they were unaware of what was written on Booking.com, and for them it was clear that I did not book an entire chalet. - So, no change, no refund, no apologies.
You'd better have good intimacy with the person you are sharing the room with, as the bathroom has no doors.
- Edward (8/5): Very good stay and pleased I did. Can go again! - Great views None
- Irene (9/5): -
- Jigna (1/5): Bad hospitality - Location They dont want to do anything for you ..Just sitting there ..no hospitality. I booked as a corporate in my booking with my efris number
And I did not even get right receipt.
Even the owner is so rude as mu booking was not showing age of the child he denied to talk to me and wanted to charge me 120k for child ..
This is second time bad experience same guys same place.

- Michael (5/5): Sweet and sour! - Breakfast could have had more choices but the views were breathtaking When we arrived our booking was not recognised until one helpful member of staff checked and said they had moved some guests into our room because of water issues. They said the issue had been sorted and we could take their room for one night. We really wanted the room we had booked.
In the room we were given, the AC was not working. Of the two ladies on the front, they couldn’t have been more different in their attitude, one was so pleasant and helpful whilst the other looked like we were bothering her.
On the second day we were not moved into the promised and booked room. No explanation was given. It was a sweet and sour stay.

- Bileni (8/5): Breathtakingly an experience you must seek - Ambience, food, staff, zip line, Limited alcoholic drinks
- Apio (8/5): Most relaxing and refreshing stay - The ambience and view of source of the nile
- Eyal (9/5): - Very Peaceful and relaxing.
Super nice staph.
Some improvements in facility need to be done
There was always hot water though a bit low stream. .
But this is a very recommended place.
Not for people with difficulty in walking View and quite and green all over
- ChemmyShan (10/5): Loved it, one night but got a week's worth of rest! - the view was stunning!! could be a better price hehe
- Salim (7/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Great view, lovely location - Great view and peaceful location. Friendly staff were very helpful. Food was well prepared and presented. Low water pressure meant electric showers did not work.
- Nadine (10/5): - Loved the location, great place to stay and relax. I definitely recommend it My shower did not work properly, but it was not too bad for me
- Alice (10/5): Really recommended! the best view on the source of the Nile! I would go there again - The room offers a breathtaking view over the Nile. Perfect value for the money! The restaurant closes to early (8 pm), probably because we were the only guests at the time, but they did not inform us so we had to ask for a delivery from a restaurant in town which arrived late as the hotel is far from the centre
- Peng Lan (Annie) (10/5): BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL LOCATION , LOVELY AND COMFORTABLE COTTAGE - AMAZING LOCATION RIGHT BY THE RIVER NILE AND THE SOURCE OF THE NILE, ALL INDIVIDUAL COTTAGE FACING THE RIVER. PEACEFUL AND VERY COMFORTABLE. STAFFS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WISH WE HAVE TIME TO STAY LONGER. OFFERS ZIP LINE, BOAT TRIPS TO THE SOURCE OF THE NILE WHICH IS MORE REASONABLE THEN OUTSIDE. NO
- Rizlene (10/5): Beautiful and peaceful - Living Waters Resort location is amazing. The view from the room terrace is as astonishing as the one from the restaurant. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food was very good as well. I highly recommend Living Waters Resort for a calm and relaxing stay in Jinja ❤️ Nothing :)
- Jagadish (8/5): -
- Ioannis (10/5): - Breath taking very beautiful place and the people at Living Waters
- Priya (8/5): -
- Ioannis (10/5): Exceptional - We liked it so much that we had to prolong our staying, two times we changed our plan because it was 100% worthy
- Ioannis (9/5): Exceptional , we will come back! -
- Guy (7/5): - The view from the tent The noise arround even at night, the poor wifi, the lack of attention of the staff for inexpensive confort details and rathe spartiate accommodation.
- Awatif (9/5): We had a great time and will definitely go back again. - The view, location, and customer services. NA
- Yolisa (9/5): Superb -
- Badru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yaron (9/5): Amazing! We will be back again! - The location is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful The infrastructure is a bit "run down".
- Varshaa (10/5): Epic lodge - Best location for 'Source of the Nile'.very scenic. Beautiful Lodge, amazing freshly cooked food. Chef and staff can't do enough for you. Very safe too.
We did Zip lining and boat rides with amazing sunrise and sunset walks along the lake and river. Can't fault it.
- Aggie (10/5): MAGNIFICENT HIDDEN GEM - The Staff were friendly and welcoming. The Host was very warm and kind. The location was serene and quiet with magnificent view of the source of the Nile. Service was excellent. Will definitely be going back in future. There was nothing to dislike
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Munyasya (3/5): Didn’t enjoy at all - The view of the Nile is breathtaking It’s very costly for nothing breakfast very mundane and limiting only wheat products and meat
Food is very expensive for nothing
- Ritah (3/5): The worst value for money resort. - The view of River Nile 😍.
The comfort of the beds .
Craft shoes in the room. The breakfast had very few options 😌 .
The tents had no WiFi, telecom service, television, AC (too cold), and slippers.
There were no doors on the toilet 🤔
Nothing is eye-catching in the interrior of the tents.
- Esther (7/5): Delightful! - Love the view of nile from the room..absolutely breathtaking It was unfortunate that the structure would noticeably shake everytime the neighbors in the adjacent unit got intimate, which impacted the quality of my rest.
- Eline (9/5): We had a great relaxed weekend - Nice breakfast, perfect location with a beautiful view!
- Akshya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Amazing location overlooking the Source of the Nile amongst trees. Lovely staff and a great restaurant with a wide menu choice. The resort is on the opposite bank of the Nile to Jinja so a bit quieter. The can organise boat trips and have a zip line on-site for the more adventurous.
- Khajebahri (8/5): Very good -
- Phil (5/5): Passable - We liked the location..and the view.. beautiful surroundings.. staff helpful.. however WiFi was difficult to access in our room.. No coffee facilities in our room.. WiFi was difficult to access in our room.. also thought within the price boat ride and zip line included.. charge was too much compared to facilities..
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Florence (8/5): Very good -
- Spencer (9/5): Excellent - Excellent All good
- Jeevan (8/5): Very good - Property and view is fantastic. Rooms are nice with beautiful view of river Nile.
Shame that it’s not well managed. Food is super bad so we need to send our driver to bring food from the city all the time
- Tinah (4/5): Not a comfortable place. - The view, and the morning staff were good Checked in in the night at the lady at the reception wasn’t welcoming, the reception table was so dirty full of water had to first request the lady to clean it after leaning on it, no one helped carry the bags. The rooms are not worth the money, I had never seen a wooden flat! Didn’t sleep in the night, the person in the upper room spent the whole night shaking the woods I can’t explain how. It’s a lot. Let me just end here
- Stephen (6/5): Good - I liked the location. It is adjacent to the source of river Nile. Their food was well done. Zip lining was fantastic. 1. They need improve on the bathroom structure/area.
2. They need to enhance breakfast to match value for money.
- Elkanah (8/5): Excellent facility. Service rather unprofessional - Exceptional location and views. Service not up to standard.
- Runze (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edwin (3/5): Poor - The view was spectacular. Unfriendly staff, poor food with no variety or Ugandan culinary experience. No WiFi in rooms and WiFi rationed at the reception. No tv in the rooms. A million lizards and insects. Window louvres missing. A veritable incommunicado prison! A scam!
- Russell (8/5): Great, this was our fourth time to stay there and we always enjoy it. - the location is great, the view of the source of the Nile. The zip line an added bonus The floor in our cabin sloped down towards the head of the bed. We had to sleep the other way round!
- Tamale (8/5): Very good -
- Deogratius (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were very comfortable and the place ambience was nice Breakfast options are limited and its not a self service kind. So i didn't like the breakfast selection on my plate.
- Kabwa (10/5): Exceptional - The views are breathtaking
- Finn (8/5): Magnificent and relaxing stay at the source of the Nile - The location with a patio right over the source of the Nile was fantastic. Good meals served in the restaurant on the premises. If I have to mention a dislike it would be the distance to centre of town but we were aware about it and had our own car so we managed it well.
- Jagadish (4/5): Not value for money definitely - The view The Challets did not have charging points. In fact all of them were not working
- Salomon-dien (9/5): Superb -
- Crystal (10/5): The property is beautiful and was a fun experience. Be sure to pack bug spray though! - The view was amazing! Being right on the Nile River was so amazing! Lots of mosquitos and bug bites, unfortunately, even with the nets around the beds.
- Bijou (9/5): Superb - Amazing location on the Nile. Clean rooms and beds. Friendly staff. Good food in restaurant. Nothing.
- Hadie (10/5): they made my birthday beautiful 🫶🫶 - It was beautiful Rooms need a little improvement
- Aphia (6/5): Pleasant - View, location, food, good personel Bathrooms the water heater and showers were a disaster we didn't have any warm water to shower.
- Nimpamya (8/5): Relaxing and beautiful - I loved the location, the views were amazing, staff was quite njce and extremely helpful, went out for their way to make sure we had an awesome stay with a smile on at all times. The food wasnt so great, alwayS too salty or limited options, they also didnt have a mixologist or a wine selection available on site.
- R (8/5): Very good - Great location
- Mohammed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (9/5): Superb -
- Jonna (8/5): The night spent glamping was relaxing with a beautiful view. - It was lovely being right next to the Nile. The inside of the glamping tent was comfortable and roomy. It is easy to find. The food was mediocre. Construction started early in the morning which we could hear everything. The price is a little high for Uganda prices and what you get.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Fons (10/5): Perfect. - Impressive views on the river and the lake. Also from the room. Historic location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Especially Beatrice made the difference and ran the extra mile.
- Stefan (7/5): Beautiful location, actually romantic - Beautiful location, romantic and staff is giving its best The equipment could be better and a little bit old fashioned decoration
- Andrew (7/5): Wonderful view - it was a lovely experience right at the banks of River Nile, beautiful view and refreshing stay.
- Shaban (5/5): The information on booking.com should correspond with the place to avoid confusion - The breakfast was good had alot for breakfast menu served with fruits and juice as starter then the location is good because its near the source of the nile and the road that leads there is good. Check out time at the place doesn’t correspond with the timings on the booking.com site,at the site check out is 10am whereas while on booking.com its 12 midday.
- Ashraf (9/5): Fascinating - The staff is friendly including Barbara the manager snd Betris and Andrew.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shandana (8/5): Very good and enjoyable experience. The staff was exceptional and ready to help as best as possible. - Staff was very welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to make the stay very safe and comfortable. Although i was not expecting a camping/glamping type of accommodation but they made it very comfortable and safe. Giving us insect repellents and all needed things to ward off insects and lizards as I am scared of creepy crawlies :) Everything was very nice apart from the insultation of the accommodation.
- Mohammed (9/5): Superb -
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): Magnificent - We totally enjoyed our stay at Living Waters. Perfect location to stay a night or more in their modern tents, while exploring Jinja. Best thing was waking up to the view of the Nile and enjoying the tranquility while immersing in nature.
Chef was super helpful and made us very delicious food. Polite staff… too many positive things to say. Don’t think twice, just book and thank me later :)
- Paula (10/5): It’s a little paradise on earth - It’s simply an amazing place!! The rooms are comfortable and very beautiful with astonishing views of the Source of the Nile, the breakfast is amazing, wifi works well, the zip-lining on the Nile is a plus, and the staff is joyful, welcoming and useful!
- Edwin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (6/5): It was worth going but I wouldn't choose to go back - The views are amazing and the breakfast was adequate. There were many recreational activities to choose from. The bed was huge. It was nice and quiet. The internet was terrible. The outdoor furniture for our room was broken. They didn't do any housekeeping the first day. They only provide bottled water to the rooms on the first day. The room was too dimly lit. Too few food choices at meal time
- Yue (9/5): We had a great time and talked about coming back again! - Gorgeous views!! Staff was nice. Super relaxing. It’s a little bit off-road, but there’s no way around it if you want that view every morning! The water never gets super hot but it was not an issue for us since it was so hot while we were there.
- Mokeira (5/5): Passable - The view of the Source of the Nile The room was VERY basic for the price charged.
The bathroom facility was wanting.
Noisy area in the morning
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamya (8/5): Very good -
- Umutesi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gr46 (7/5): Good - Ride in the boats When it is windy
- Susannah (7/5): Lovely - We loved the location right by the nile. The view of the sunrise in the morning is breath taking. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast selection and the we had some fresh and nicely cooked tilapia fillet for dinner. The menu is still a bit limited due to the renovations that are going on. (The renovations didn't affect our stay) Bathroom especially the shower situation needs to be worked on
- Alessandras (1/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! - The view is nice... We booked this place to relax after a trip to Uganda. From the pictures and previous reviews it seemed a nice resort with an outstanding view.
However, we have been very disappointed. There was no electricity, and ok, it might be normal in this part of the world. But they did not even have a working generator so we ended up eating dinners with the torch and we could not charge our phones.
We not only missed hot water, but the shower did not work at all and we had to use water in buckets. Not what you expect in a resort @ more than 100 USD per night. You don't even expect to find poop of geko lizards everywhere in the room: definetly it was not properly cleaned.
No choice of food and also of bad quality: just chicken curry and veg curry every evening and you are forced to eat there cause it is a bit far from the city and it is not feasible / difficult if you don't have a car. Dinner was at 35K or 45K Ush that is such a lot for what was offered.
We were the only guests for the 2 nights we spent there and this was weird. No security services: no guardian and gate opened even during the night so we did not feel safe.
Of course do not expect WiFi.
We slept in budget places around at way lower costs but with way better services (hot shower, electricity, WiFi, etc.).
Beware of this place and of previous reviews.
Not recommended!!!
- Ronel (6/5): Pleasant but not again. - It is situated at the Source of the Nile with beautiful views. The resort needs some TLC for sure and the grounds could be better maintained. The rooms are very basic with no tea/coffee facilities. The choices on the menu at the restaurant are very limited. It is not near any other restaurants and a person would need to take a taxi into Jinja for other restaurant options. The resort does not accept US$ in cash as the notes have to be in a perfect condition (no folds/marks whatsoever and the notes have to recently issued) for the banks in Jinja to accept the notes apparently.
- Detlef (10/5): Exceptional - very friendly people
- Benita (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Location amazing, food good, staff great
- Hannah (8/5): Lovely Stay! - Location - The location is beautiful, right on the River Nile making it a unique stay.
Room - Clean and fresh. A beautiful balcony overlooking the Nile.
Facilities - Good, the restaurant has an amazing view of the Nile and the food was delicious. We enjoyed dinner here for two evenings and they were very tasty!
Staff - Very helpful and friendly. You are on the other side of the Nile from Jinja town. We travelled back and forth by motorcycle which kept costs down but it made it more difficult for going out for excursions, lunch and dinner (especially at night so we ate in the hotel for dinner). If you are in Jinja for a long time I would recommend something closer to the town.
- Robert (5/5): Great location with disappointing accommodation - Breathtaking view of the source of the Nile, that was the one and only thing that fit the description. Other than that, the accommodation itself was a big disappointment, poorly maintained and run down. First of all, from the pictures you cannot see that you are going to stay in a tent-like bungalow. There's no mentioning of that and for this reason it is too expensive. Other things are misleading or do not exist as listed respectively, such as a buffet.
The menu itself is very limited at the same time and WAY too expensive! We went to eat at a Sailing Club, then, which was even cheaper, just imagine. Breakfast was rather disappointing as well, very limited variety, only the most basic foods. Not acceptable for this price, sorry.
As much as we liked the location, we will unfortunately not return because of the poor facilities there. Far too expensive for what you get.
- Johannes (8/5): Very good - Great and calm location, very helpful staff
