Guest Reviews
- Andrea (10/5): Perfect cosy little cottage - I loved the cosy little cottage, it was perfect for my 2 night stay for work, fully equipped with everything I needed, a comfy bed & sofa, Wi-Fi & Netflix. Bonus luxuries like robes in the bathroom & a log burner in the living room were appreciated & the lovely little private garden with covered in seating area was a real plus. 100% recommend this little hidden gem :-) I will definitely book again. Excellent value & a warm welcome. There was nothing I didn't like about my stay

- Baz (10/5): The stay was amazing perfect location and a very cozy cottage. Very dog friendly too! - Lockbox was easy to find with the instructions provided and clearly labelled. Hosts were also on site to help too which was great!
- Mandi (9/5): Great place to stay whilst in beautiful Cornwall - We have stayed here before in one of the barns on the farm, but not in the cotttage. The little cottage had every thing you needed, lovely homely feel to the cottage. Easy to get to. Host was very welcoming.
Central for traveling to visit tourist areas.
Only stayed a couple of days but would love to have stayed longer.
Great place to have some peace and quiet and enjoy the lovely countryside.
Loved seeing the chickens, and great field for dogs to exercise, all well thought out. If you want somewhere which is quiet and peaceful then this is a great place to be.
Very reasonable priced too.
All in all a great place.
We will definitely be back. Nothing all was great.
- Sarah (9/5): Great cosy cottage with everything you needed great kitchen and very comfortable bed, good location - Lovely cosy cottage with a fantastic garden. Nothing
- Aram (10/5): Worth to stay - Everything is good Everything is good, only the bed is a bit uncomfortable
- Colleen (10/5): - Lovely hosts and cosy cottage. Coming home 😜
- angela (10/5): Clean, cosy and comfortable in a great location. - Clean comfortable and cosy. This property had everything you need and a handy little onsite shop for the essentials like milk for a much needed drink after a long journey. Please note, the shop is 24hrs, unmanned and requires cash and honesty for the little cash box. It does have fairly quiet surroundings. Bleeting sheep can be heard from the garden in the next field and lots of birdsong. You can hear traffic from the garden but it’s a B road. There’s a patio heater for the outside area which was useful on chillier mornings/evening. The garden is secure for your dogs, although mine (if he wasn’t nervous of his surroundings) has a good jump height and might’ve jumped the fence if he saw something that took his fancy…e.g squirrels. But this only leads into the main house garden. There’s a very handy secure paddock to take your dogs in too. I kept mine on a lead though as I wasn’t confident he wouldn’t electrocute himself going to look at the chickens 😂
The house itself is lovely and cosy with great decor and ample space for 2. It was just me and my dog so lots of room. The tv has good signal, this was very welcome when you’re a solo traveller. There are some DVDs, a couple of games and a Bluetooth speaker. Blankets if you get chilly. There is central heating but this is controlled from the main house. I’m sure if you wanted it on at a different time, Adrian the owner would be accommodating. As for Adrian, he was friendly, as were his dogs Hamish and Bella. There is a door at the bottom of the stairs leading to the bedroom. This is handy if you have reactive dogs and the owner needs to come in for any reason.
Decent shower with enough room (bring your own toiletries) There’s a couple of robes but I brought my own dressing gown. Good sized bath sheets of good quality. Lots of room in the bedroom and plenty of storage space for clothes. Small hairdryer tucked away in a drawer. Don’t be fooled by its size… it dried my hair quickly. Not stingy with pillows either.
- Dave (9/5): Space for a Perfect Escape - The cottage is lovely. We only stayed for one night and didn't get to use the kitchen at all. But the bedroom, bathroom, and front room were great. It wasn't quite cold enough to justify building a proper fire, but we would definitely do that if we were staying in winter. It was very cosy and very clean.
The location is perfect for exploring North Cornwall, Devon, and Dartmoor.
There is a lovely outdoor space, but we didn't get the opportunity to use it on our one-night stay.
Parking is on-site and plentiful, so you can go off and explore, safe in the knowledge that you can return and park without stress.
We are going to book again for later in the year. This isn't a complaint at all - in fact its a note to read the instructions from the property.
They do give you precise information on how to find them, but the postcode takes you to a slightly different location. In fact, the property is easier to find than the satnav tells you! Its on the main road, about 50 metres on from where the Satnav makes you turn.
Its a very convenient location. The property does send you all this information, but don't be daft like me, and simply use the postcode and not the instructions!
- Raluca (10/5): Wonderful and relaxing moments - The garden and cosy atmosphere of the cottage. N/A

- Lynn (9/5): - Everything was perfect, the location was central for our days out, the cottage was beautifully decorated, spotless, and welcoming. The bedroom was so comfy and relaxing x we met Adrian the owner, very nice man too x We would have definitely given it a 10 except it was a little chilly at night in the sitting room, due ti no sun getting in and we didn't have the best 8f weather, but Adrian straight away put the heating on for us and it was toastie then xx would we go again? Absolutely ❤️

- Sarah (10/5): A clean, inviting cottage with personal touches - The cottage was spotless and very clean. They had put lovely touches to make it so homely. The bedroom was spacious and living room so cosy with a fireplace look. Outside there was a decking area that again was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed sitting out there having some evenings drinks and chilling. It was the most dog friendly accommodation I’ve ever been to and it was really reassuring to have our own private enclosed garden. The cottage was great value for money and the process to get the keys was easy and convenient.

- Jane (10/5): Our stay was just perfect. - Everything… from the minute we arrived we felt at home! The cottage is so homely and comfortable, modern and clean. Adrian and Gary are welcoming and friendly, they even hosted a pizza night for all of the guests. It’s an ideal place as a base for beautiful beaches ( especially Widemouth and Summerleaze).
We visited Tintagel which is great and lots of other lovely places which are not too far to get to.
There are fresh eggs from the resident chickens and my particular favourite was the greeting from Hamish and Bella, their 2 dogs.
Would definitely love to stay here again!!! There wasn’t anything
- Catherine (10/5): Charming, relaxing, well located cottage - Charming, peaceful, and well equipped cottage. Felt instantly relaxed! Great location for exploring both N and S. Really enjoyed sitting out on the covered decking in the evening with the sound of birds all around. Dog exercise field very handy, as was on site shop. Owner so helpful and friendly. Nothing
- Angela (7/5): Quiet cottage, comfortable for couples. - Comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, good black-out curtains, outdoor area and generous/quality loo paper! Wrestling with the can opener and the residual, slightly "doggy" odour in the cottage.
- Edwina (10/5): We had a fabulous stay - Comfortable clean and welcoming cottage in a quiet location which made the ideal base to tour other towns and villages on a motorcycle
- Maria (10/5): Excellent. - What a fabulous little Haven. Home from home. Such a comfortable bed and home, all we needed to relax and close enough to explore interesting places.
