- Alexander Reinwarth (10/5): - Das Spera Luxury liegt perfekt in der Via Maqueda, nicht weit entfernt von den Quattro Canti: d.h. mittendrin im Trubel der Großstadt Palermo. Die wichtigsten touristischen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind alle fußläufig zu erreichen, und mittags und abends gibt es eine riesige gastronomische Auswahl. Trotz dieser quirligen Umgebung hat man hier im obersten Stockwerk eine Ruhe, die ich nicht erwartet hatte. Mein Zimmer war groß, pikobello sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war eines der besten, das ich im Mezzogiorno je hatte. Es war frisch zubereitet, abwechslungsreich und wurde wahlweise im Frühstücksraum oder auf der überdachten Terrasse direkt am Tisch serviert. Was mir nicht gefallen hat? Nichts.
- Tom (9/5): Super Location - Superb location right in the heart of Palermo. Bars, restaurants and shops literally on your doorstep. Very friendly and helpful staff, good parking options right next to the hotel (25 euro per night). We had three rooms all were spotless with interesting spa options which all worked well and were a nice novelty. We didn't have food at the hotel but it looked really tasty. Because of the design/ layout of the hotel the walls are very thin, you can hear other people's alarms, conversations and in one of our rooms there was a door that was locked that obviously led to a bathroom for the room next door so we could hear them using the toilet which wasn't ideal. Quite a lot of stairs and no lift, not an issue for us but could be if you struggle with stairs.
- B (9/5): A fantastically located hotel, right in the vibrant heart of Palermo. - Great room with a loft. Fancy shower, but the holes in the shower head weren't cleaned properly and were clogged. The hotel is ideally located in the city center. The breakfast is fantastic. If you come with heavy suitcases, the stairs from the front door to reaching the reception will be a challenge.

- Ifeanyi (10/5): Perfect location and a beautiful option for couples on a romantic vacation. - This was a great property especially for couples on a romantic trip. The location is perfect. You step out the front door of the hotel and you’re instantly on the main street, blocked to cars, and lined with amazing restaurants and stores. You can just walk the streets in any direction with lots of entertaining sights. The rooms with the spa in them were amazing. The doors opening out to the balcony was a treat, as was the open terrace where we had our breakfasts. I would definitely recommend adding the breakfast package to your stay as you get a lot of food for what you pay, for two. They have a car service that is a great deal for couples that want to go visit other places out of town. They are so nice that they even package it with a great bag lunch for the trip. The staff here were wonderful. Everyone was super helpful and nice. Our favorite was Lori. She spoke the best English and always had a smile on her face. She was always looking for ways to help. She even helped us carry our bags down multiple flights upstairs, even though she didn’t need to. I would love to stay here again when we return to Palermo. We didn’t know that there are no elevators on this property so weren’t quite prepared to lug all our luggage up several flights of stairs . The hotel is at the top floor (3rd floor) with LUXURY apartments on the second floor. Fortunately, the hotel staff were amazing enough to volunteer their staff to help us carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs.

Peccato la mancanza di un ascensore, tante scale se si hanno dei bagagli non proprio leggeri o se si hanno problemi fisici. Vasca idromassaggio funzionante ma troppo tempo per riempirla (l’acqua calda scendeva a filo, mentre in tutti gli altri servizi era ok)

- Mattia (8/5): Ottima struttura con margini di miglioramento - La camera aveva una spa esclusiva, sauna e vasca idromassaggio molto belle, chicca della camera, bagno con arredi nuovi ma un po' angusto con spazi limitati, tovagliato completo e non logoro, colazione eccellente, anche per chi ha intolleranze alimentari, servita su una splendida terrazza con vista città, personale (Loredana) accogliente, gentile, disponibile e professionale, posizione ottima per visitare la città. Camera da letto e bagno un po' angusti, la camera non aveva comodini e lo spazio tra il letto e le pareti laterali della camera un po' ristretto (30-40 cm) e il bagno con arredi nuovi ma stretto e lungo, poco agevole per muoversi. Dispiace per la mancanza di balconi e finestre ampie. Per chi viene in automobile la struttura potrebbe proporre un prezzo agevolato o convenzionato per i propri clienti della struttura nel vicino parcheggio.

- maxence (5/5): Pratique et bon petit déjeuné mais pas confort ! - Le petit déjeuner et l’emplacement était super ! Le matelas était usé, pas du tout confortable ! Beaucoup trop utilisé avec un effet de trous dans le matelas. La douchette des toilettes était calée donc pas utilisable. Le carrelage de la douche présentait des moisissures.

Frühstück mit viel Sorgfalt vorbereitet und eine tolle Überraschung. Parkingzugang problemlos und unkompliziert. Preis-Leistung top. Whirlpool das absolute Highlite. Lage genial, man kann vom Zimmer aus die ganz belebte Strasse beobachten. Die Glasfront im Bad hat uns nicht gestört. Ein Teil ist verdunkelt/foliert. Man sieht niemanden der auf der Toilette sitzt. Es sei denn mann steht direkt davor. Wir werden wiederkommen.
- Guest (4/5): Nice location - shame about the filthy spa bath which was unable to use - The property is in a great location right in the centre. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. The spa bath was filthy. When we turned the jets on lots of black mould came out of them. I contacted the property about this prior to writing this review to offer them the opportunity to make things right for us given we were unable to at any point during our stay use the spa hot tub which I paid good money for. Réception fermé entre 18h et 8.30. Un grand problème quand la porte principale ne s’ouvre pas le soir. Aucun crochet, bar, rail dans la chambre/salle de bain. Coffre fort en panne. Majorité de l’équipe monolingual. Petit déjeuner commence quand beaucoup de bus pour des excursion sont déjà partis. Une clé maximum par chambre.

La communication avec le personnel n'a pas été facile et il y avait rarement quelqu'un à la réception. Nous n'avons pas eu toutes les informations à notre arrivée (lieu du petit déjeuner par exemple). Le logement pourrait être insonorisé et est situé au 2ème étage sans ascenseur. Aussi, la porte des toilettes est transparente.

The staff were friendly. Lory made sure we were looked after and our room was serviced every day. She was outstanding, friendly and very helpful. Her English was very good. Support Staff were also very friendly and obliging. The was NOTHING about Spera Luxury Apartments that we didn’t like. The Staff assisted with our cases up the stairs to our room.

Great service all around - they sent a very helpful video by WhatsApp on how to find and enter the building, much appreciated. And Lory was just fantastic, so kind and sweet, made us feel so welcome! Just to note there is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up 2-3 flights of stairs with your luggage.

La habitación mas pequeña en la que he estado, no te puedes mover. Un tercero sin ascensor con escaleras muy elevadas dificilísimas de subir. Por la noche hay mucho ruido de la calle Muy mala experiencia, no recomendable

Breakfast the next morning was so good a great selection and really good coffee. The staff were really good even though they lacked some English we could get by easily with Google translate and he accommodated any requests I had with no issues.

L’établissement joue trop sur le côté marketing en utilisant des mots comme « luxury ». Cependant rien n’est luxueux. La décoration est choisis avec goût mais les matériaux n’ont rien de luxueux et à mon sens auront une mauvaise évolution. Par ailleurs il nous a été proposé un “fast checking” en fournissant en avance nos ID. Sauf que tout à été à refaire à notre arrivée. Il y un sentiment de manque de professionnalisme.
- Kenzy (6/5): Un séjour globalement correct, mais qui pourrait facilement être amélioré. - Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel et notre avis est mitigé. Points positifs : l’emplacement est excellent pour visiter Palerme à pied, et la chambre était très belle et confortable. En revanche, le petit déjeuner est servi sous forme de plateau imposé, avec une majorité de salé. Pour le rapport qualité-prix d’un séjour d’une semaine, on s’attendrait à pouvoir choisir ou à avoir un peu plus de variété. Autre point décevant : les serviettes n’ont pas été remplacées pendant tout le séjour. Pour ceux qui restent plusieurs jours, je conseillerais peut-être un hôtel avec piscine : après une semaine entière, cela apporte vraiment un plus.

- De Weever (5/5): As we were only in Palermo for one night it wasn’t the best experience. We would go back to Palermo as we liked the vibe - The property was in a good location. In the middle of a vibey strip of restaurants and bars. The property was extremely hard to find as the taxi could not take us to the front door due to driving restrictions. It then took over an hour to find the property as google maps took us one way and people were sending us in another direction. We finally got to the property only to find 2 sets of steep stairs that we had to lug to heavy suitcases. None of this was mentioned in the details of the property. The owner then mentioned in the morning when we were checking out that finding the property has been a problem yet they haven’t dealt with this, to make it a better experience.

Und das tolle Badezimmer liegt voll verglast mitten im Raum. Wer also seinen Partner mal bei allen "Aktivitäten im Bad" beobachten möchte, kann das hier tun.

La chambre était spacieuse et très propre. Le petit-déjeuner, bien que bon et copieux, est assez cher et il n'y a pas de choix possible à part la boisson.

- FUNDA (9/5): Extremely centric location and nice staff - This is an accommodation in the historical center of Palermo. The building is really in the hustle bustle zone and surrounded by dozens of nice restaurants. We literally walked a few steps left or right wherever we needed to go. All landmarks and monuments are just meters away. Like Quatro Canti is 3 mins walk, Palermo cathedral was 5 minutes walk etc. Ofc being in this much center, comes with downsides that there is always a little bit noise but the insulation was good enough that we could at least sleep alright. The staff was quite nice and helpful and they provided room making and putting a big bottle of drinking water in the fridge every day (they also gave another big bottle for each breakfast as well, well appreciated). Not everyone could speak English, but Lori spoke very good English and she was nice, cheerful and helpful to accommodate us during our stay. There are many stairs and no elevator. This is common in the historical buildings but be prepared for climbing some stairs every day, definitely not good for old people or people with injuries etc. Thankfully the guy from the staff helped us carry the luggage upstairs when we arrived though. They provided a basket of nicely baked pastries, cakes and some savory snacks for breakfast, it changed a bit every day and it was alright, however the amount was too much. Since we hate to waste, we took the leftovers to beach with us every day or left them in the fridge for merenda. I would recommend maybe decreasing number of pastries and changing it more with fresh fruit and/or tomatoes. Also if you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant please state it before your arrival so that all staff are informed, otherwise they might bring you the classic one in which many of the savory snacks have ham.
