• Andrea (10/5): Beautiful and super clean - We had a wonderful stay at this riad in Marrakesh. The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning interior design and attention to detail throughout. Everything was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying the charm and tranquility of the riad. A truly charming place, and I would happily stay here again.
• Máté (10/5): Authenthic experience - The staff gave us a very warm welcome and were super communicative with anything we needed. The rooms were super tidy and clean. The temperature inside the riad was amazing, even when there was 40 degrees outside, the internal courtyard was a pleasant place to be, and the rooms were even better with AC. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of new and tasty foods to try each day. Really deep in the Medina, getting here requires a bit of help getting down the small alleyways, and it can be a bit scary sometimes, even though all the locals we met were extremely kind and helpful. Some of the room facilities had wear, eg the tap was a bit wobbly, but everything was fully functional. The riad is very far away from a road accessible by car (~5-10 minutes depending on taxi willingness to go deeper), and about 15 minutes away from where the touristy areas are, so you'll walk a lot here.

• Martina (10/5): I found it very authentic and the location is great to explore the center city. - Ayoub and the team are amazing, welcoming and caring from the very first moment until the last goodbye. Breakfasts are just amazing, homemade and changes each day with typical Moroccan cuisine. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the team before your arrival, google maps doesn’t have the exact position of the road and the medina’s streets can be tricky at first, but it’s very well connected to everything (10/15m only by foot, no cars can get close) and the neighbourhood is calm and chill.

And the kindness there felt just as beautiful — we had to check out at 3 AM for our flight, and the manager personally arranged a car and sent us off in the middle of the night. It was probably the rainy season, so the courtyard was covered with transparent tarpaulin sheets. It made the space feel a little warmer than usual.

Nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion d’essayer le petit déjeuner suite à des excursions matinales, nous ne pouvons donc pas juger ce service. La localisation dans un quartier populaire où le gps ne fonctionne pas et les rues pas éclairées ce qui n’a pas permis d’apprécier correctement les lieux.

• Maciej (5/5): Area around the riad is full of garbage and scary to walk around. Despite a very hospitable host and good breakfast I wo - Ayoub was great, helpful and very professional. He waited for us to check in until 3am. Much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and portions were big. It was clean inside the riad. Location: Riad is located in a shady area. On the way to the building from the place a taxi can leave you, you need to follow narrow streets full of garbage. it takes around 10 minutes to get there from the taxi stop. It is not a touristy area at all but not in a good sense. The route that is recommended on Google maps does not exist. Unless our host showed us the way we wouldn’t be able to find the location. We were not comfortable going out after dawn. It is far away from the city center. Rooms: Rooms have access to the patio which makes them really noisy. They are not properly isolated from the patio and you can hear all the guests having breakfast in the morning. The glass/ metal doors hardly close. Inside of the room on the ground floor the curtains are relatively thin and you can have impression that people outside can see you providing little privacy. Bathroom in the rooms are poorly designed making them flood whenever you have a shower. Facilities: The pool that is advertised is a small unheated pond. Something to use for your feet rather than a swim.

Their hospitality was outstanding; they thought of everything for us, and they even gave us a travel snack (yolluk) for the road, for which we are very grateful. The room and its small balcony were quite impressive. The neighborhood is definitely safe, and they go above and beyond to make sure you find your way easily. • Stephane (3/5): Eviter ce riad et ceux des environs. - Bon petit-déjeuner. Ménage fréquent de la chambre. L’emplacement de ce riad est catastrophique, le quartier craint (un policier nous a escorté le soir en rentrant!), des adolescents mènent les touristes en bateau dans la rue comme le riad est mal indiqué sur google maps. Vous marchez quelques minutes dans des ruelles jonchées de déchets avant de retrouver la rue. Surtout la distance à pied du centre de la médina est conséquente et les taxis ne circulent pas là. Un autre problème est l’humidité du riad : la bâche sur le toit confère une chaleur désagréable aux étages du dessous. Les menuiseries s’en retrouvent gondolés et un soir la porte de notre chambre s’est tout simplement désolidarisé de sa poignée. Le personnel a été réactif et nous a aidé mais cela a ajouté à la mauvaise expérience. A cela s’ajoute la forte odeur de chlore dans le riad. Enfin, les lits sont petits et la chambre très étroites. La piscine est petite et ne nous a pas donné envie. Evitez également les transferts avec le riad qui sont excessivement chers. Je ne recommande vraiment pas ce riad. En général, je vous recommande de ne pas dormir dans ce quartier. A fuir!
• Caroline (10/5): Zeer mooie Riad met behulpzaam personeel - Zeer vriendelijke host die ons kwam afhalen, omdat het wat zoeken om de Riad te vinden via google maps. Een echte aanrader is om ter plaatse te eten. De Tagine was super lekker. De marrokaanse sla was eveneens zeer fijn klaargemaakt. Zeer rustig’s nachts om te verblijven.
• Nicholas (8/5): Tranquil and welcoming in the most interesting part of town. - It’s very pretty and peaceful and the staff were truly lovely. The breakfast was wonderful and I felt totally at home and welcome. The beds were comfortable and it was spotlessly clean. I personally loved the area, real people living real lives outside the tourist mayhem. The walk to Bab Aylen was fascinating and people friendly. I didn’t mind it, but others might. The approach to the property has the aesthetics of a war zone but don’t let that put you off. I loved the juxtaposition of calm Riad to the surrounding area.

• Stine (8/5): En fredelig og charmerende Riad med meget venlig vært. - En charmerende og fredelig lille riad midt i Marrakechs ellers travle byliv. Alt var i orden, og vi nød virkelig vores ophold. Værten var meget venlig og imødekommende – han hjalp os med parkering og gav os en varm velkomst ved ankomst. Morgenmaden var skøn, og betjeningen var sød og opmærksom. Riaden har en okay beliggenhed i forhold til bymidten og er praktisk, hvis man ankommer i bil. Vi parkerede udenfor bymuren på en overvåget parkeringsplads. Riaden ligger dog i et meget lokalt område uden for de typiske turistzoner. Vi følte os ikke utrygge og mødte kun venlighed, men om aftenen var der meget liv blandt de lokale, og som turist kan man godt komme til at føle sig lidt alene i området.

De kamer beneden met uitzicht op het zwembad heeft onvoldoende verluchting, waardoor de kamer heel vochtig is en blijft na het gebruik van de badkamer. Er is veel risico op geluidslast, gezien alle gasten langs de kamer moeten voor zowel ontbijt/avondeten.

• Emīlija (10/5): Best Riad in Marrakech - Staying at Riad Amour was one of the highlights of our trip and definitely a big part of our wonderful experience in Marrakech. The Riad is quiet, beautiful and clean, and it’s walkable distance to Jemaa el-Fnaa square. As two girls traveling alone, we felt safe both in the Riad and around the neighborhood. The biggest highlight of Riad Amour is the incredible hospitality and kindness we experienced from our host Ayoub. From the very beginning he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and cared for. He kindly came to meet us where our taxi dropped us off and guided us through the medina, which immediately made us feel much more comfortable in a place that can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Later he also showed us the way to the main street before we had gotten used to navigating the medina ourselves. His genuine kindness and attentiveness truly made our stay special and made us feel more like guests in someone’s home than just visitors. It’s also worth mentioning the very delicious breakfast that was served every morning with great care and a smile. We also chose to have dinner at the riad, and it was absolutely delicious and a wonderful experience in itself. I would highly recommend staying here. If I ever come back to Marrakech, I would definitely love to stay here again!

Repas exceptionnels, du petit déjeuner très copieux aux repas incroyablement bons. Propreté impeccable. Un peu loin de la porte la plus proche et encore plus de la place principale. Il faut prendre des rues grouillantes, mais c’est l’effervescence et le charme de la médina.

• Katharina (10/5): - Wunderschönes kleines Riad am Rande der Medina. Da der Weg dorthin etwas schwer zu finden ist, wurden wir am Taxi abgeholt. Im Riad angekommen wurden wir mit Saft, Oliven und Nüssen herzlich begrüßt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Frühstück hervorragend. Man ist nach ca. 20min Fußweg beim Jemaa El Fna Platz. Hier ist im Riad ist man abseits des Trubels. Das Personal war super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

We hadden onze auto op de verkeerde plek geparkeerd en een medewerker heeft ons opgehaald en is mee in de auto gegaan naar de juiste parkeerplaats. Heel behulpzaam! Bij aankomst kregen we thee en een heerlijke plaat met verschillende olijven en noten. Fijn ontvangst! De accomodatie straalt rust uit. Kamers waren schoon en heel fijn. Douche super mooi. • Benjamin (8/5): Nice Riad in a less touristy part of the old town - Nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. The Riad is in a the old town (inside the city walls), but in a less touristy part of the old town. Having said that - The area surrounding it looks a little poorer and dirtier than other parts of the old town, but it's absolutely safe and gives you more vibes of the regular Marrakech life. (The surrounding makes the impression of the Riad even more like an oasis) It's quite hard to find at first. But the staff is happy to show you the way or meet you at the gate leading through these very narrow streets where only pedestrians can go.

• Sandy (7/5): Riad propre et agréable, aux services limités et à la localisation un peu éloignée. - Riad propre, calme et bien décoré. Les espaces sont agréables et bien entretenus. Ayoub est disponible et répond à nos questions lorsque nous en avons besoin. Un matin, ayant un impératif pour une excursion, il s’est déplacé lui-même dès 8h30 afin que nous puissions prendre le petit déjeuner à temps, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Le riad est situé à environ vingt minutes à pied de la place Jemaa El Fna, ce qui peut être contraignant selon les déplacements. Le petit déjeuner pourrait être amélioré, notamment sur la diversité : jus de fruits frais plutôt qu’en brique, davantage de fruits ainsi qu’un choix plus varié de pains et de fromages. Bien que le petit déjeuner soit annoncé de 8h30 à 10h00, les personnes chargées de la préparation arrivent en pratique à 8h30. Enfin, l’absence de présence permanente dans le riad est dommage, notamment en fin de soirée lorsque l’on souhaite simplement prendre un thé à la menthe, donnant davantage l’impression d’un fonctionnement type « Airbnb » que celui d’un hôtel.

• SorinCI (9/5): interesting stay in maraketch - the host was very welcoming, he was nice and always answering our questions. we had a great breakfast, plenty of local food! nice room for the price, pretty large. the room had local motives. there was door to a nearby room (kitchen) and smell came from there. in the toilet, some on/off water switch not worked during our stay. the location (street) is a bit shady, especially if you go there for the first time when the sun is down.

• mussard (8/5): Un riad au calme qui permet de se reposer après une journée intense à explorer la médina. - J'ai aimé l'emplacement très excentré par rapport à l'agitation des souks. Le riad est à 15 minutes de la place principale et je trouve que c'est bien, car beaucoup moins de touristes et du coup plus authentique. Les dames qui s'occupent du ménage et du petit déjeuner sont très gentilles. Ayoub également. Le petit déjeuner est servi un peu tard, il été annoncé à partir de 8 h 30, mais dans les faits, c'était plutôt 9 h 30. Nous avons trouvé les frais de transfert depuis et vers l'aéroport très cher (28 euros pour 2). Une fois sur place, nous avons constaté qu'il y a beaucoup moins cher et aussi pratique (au moins pour l'arrivée).

• Nadine (9/5): Authentisch und mitten drin - Wunderschönes Riad, authentisch und genau wie auf den Fotos. Leckeres Frühstück (hier muss man allerdings etwas Geduld mitbringen) und wirklich schön ruhig, trotz Lage in der Medina, die dafür lebendig und trubelig ist. Die Lage ist etwas verzwickt und alleine im Dunkeln speziell,, allerdings wurde uns vom Riad da schon bei der Anreise geholfen.

• Martin (9/5): - Midden in de Medina. Vriendelijke gastheer en personeel. Prima bedden en lekkere douche. Rustig gelegen en kleinschalig. Kamer iedere dag schoongemaakt en zelfs bed iedere dag verschoond.
• Morgan (7/5): Good if you just need somewhere to sleep and that’s it. - The inside is nice & clean, the staff is very welcoming, nice, & helpful The location was VERY local. You are deep in the neighborhood with the locals. Lots of rubble, trash, dark alleyways, random cats. Not luxurious to say the least. I did not feel relaxed my entire trip. If you’re used to resort style hotels — If you’re looking for something easily accessible by taxi, are a solo female traveler, or aren’t used to living in rougher areas I would not stay here. My husband and I stayed and the first night we got back around 1:30AM — we were lost and did not feel safe. The following nights we made sure to learn the route and get back before midnight. They say they won’t harm tourists. But the first night had us ready to cancel our whole trip.

Bathroom was great and we loved the decore of the room and other spaces.We were even picked up frpm the car park and shown twice the way through the Mevina laberyth. Thanks guys Nothing

Ayoub was very kind and helpful, and even helped us finding a wonderful driver; while the women in the kitchen prepared the most splendid breakfast. Our top floor deluxe room was perfect, comfortable and with plenty of privacy and calm. We loved the curated decor of the Riad! I think you can’t beat this quality price ratio! It’s true that the streets around the Riad are sketchy, but we always ignored the kids trying to interact with us like the other reviews suggested and all went well. I would stay here again!

• BENJAMIN (9/5): Strongly advise - Lovely riad, spotless and welcoming Great space—beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. Almost everything was spot-on. Location: It’s a little off the main tourist track by European standards, but that’s true of much of Marrakesh. In practice, people are very friendly and we felt safer than in many European capitals, so the location ended up being a non-issue. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the edge of the medina and roughly 20 minutes to the center. Atmosphere & design: The rooftop terrace is fantastic, and the central courtyard is lovely. We felt extremely safe inside the riad—we didn’t even lock our door. Room & cleanliness: Our room was spacious and never felt claustrophobic. Everything was impeccably clean; pillows and mattresses felt fresh and inviting. Water & amenities: Water pressure is great. You do need to wait a little for the hot water, but once it’s on, it’s solid. Noise: Sound travels when others are on the terrace or in the courtyard, but that’s part of traditional riad architecture. If you’re choosing a riad over a regular hotel, it comes with the charm. Staff: Housekeeping kept everything spotless. The team was discreet and respectful of our space. Interactions could be a bit tricky at times due to language, but nothing unusual. They’ll meet you at the taxi drop-off to guide you in, are available on WhatsApp, and can arrange most things you might need—taxis, reservations, tips on what to see. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Breakfast: Generous and well prepared. No meat during our stay, but we’re confident they’d accommodate if needed. Neighborhood vibe: We’d read about kids hassling tourists, but we didn’t experience any of that. Bottom line: A great stay—we wouldn’t hesitate to return if the chance comes up. Information booklet: The only small thing that didn’t quite work for us was the information sheet in the room. Because it’s held together with a paper clip, we didn’t realize there were more pages behind the cover and only discovered the list of extra services at the end of our stay. Maybe a small booklet format would make it easier to notice everything.
