• MaidaDeVega (7/5): Great location; Beautiful decor; But host can be more solution-oriented. - Location. House design and beautiful living room and kitchen decor. Spacious. Lots of light in Living, 2 bedrooms and Kitchen. Airconditioning (but makes a loud noise) Elevator (but from the landing to access the unit you need to walk down a flight of stairs). Host: ***Polite but not kind. Did not offer to resolve problems in the property. No warmth or care to ensure comfort of their guests. Defects: ***Showerhead fixture in one of the bathrooms kept falling off its handle. Noise: ***Loud incessant buzzing noise above the bathroom of the main bedroom - goes on every 40secs for 5secs long. ***Other airbnb neighbours were loud after 11pm. No building rules. Towels and bed linens. Worn out, most had dirt stains with has holes. Beds and Pillows: Lumpy pillows, old and Main bedroom had uneven bed mattress; bed base in 2nd bedroom is unsightly worn out and peeling off. This property was the 10th and last apartment we stayed at during our 6 week roadtrip across France, Spain and Portugal. We had a better experience from previous hosts that were more attentive to repair problems immediately. This unit may be ok for those who only stay for 2 or 3 nights (any longer you'll feel the defects become annoying) and are ok to tolerate continuous buzzing noise.

She said that the apartment was beautiful and in a lovely location that was really easy to walk to many shops, bars and restaurants. The area felt very safe and was perfect for her girls trip. She really appreciated the early check in and late check out to fit in with her flight times.

The layout of the apartment is very functional, a spacious living room and kitchen with a big round table was also a plus. Big bright and airy windows added extra energy to the place. The internet could be a little faster

• Jungleprin (10/5): Lovely apartment for a family - The location was amazing! Other things we liked: full size fridge, 2 bathrooms, elevator, transport offered to airport. Very well thought out binder showing local attractions etc. The windows above the doors meant light shines in from other rooms at night. If someone stays up late or uses the bathroom at 2am everyone gets woken up because of the light.
• Kathryn (9/5): Elegant apartment, beautifully equipped, in a fantastic location - Above all, the apartment is as truly elegant and light-filled as it appears in the pictures. The location is superb for exploring Lisbon, poised between the Alfama, Baixa and Chiado neighborhoods. The kitchen was well-equipped. We appreciated the dishwasher and the washing machine. It was helpful to have the elevator for luggage, though we happily used the stairs the rest of the time. The building was quiet, and we were not bothered by street noise. The hosts were quite responsive. They also provided several helpful guidebooks, which is a great touch. The other folks staying with us said several times how much they loved the apartment! The gentleman who met us to check us in was very helpful, showing us around the apartment. He responded promptly on the day of check-in, as we updated him with our arrival time, when we hit traffic. Finally, the apartment was a win for our group - 2 couples and one boy, who was happy with his own room. We would happily stay there again if we have a similar large group. It was a bit logistically challenging for us to come in with a car and check in, since we had to meet someone for the keys. But we were able to find a "loading and unloading only" spot for the car very close to the apartment. My husband waited with the car while I handled getting the keys, and then my friends and I brought our bags in, then he went and parked in a long-term lot. We didn't use the car at all while we were in Lisbon.

The location couldn’t have been better with restaurants, tram stops etc nearby. Great system for security so people within the group could come and go as pleased. Plenty of room to spread out AC that worked really well and units in each BR Bifanas across the street! Yum! Also bifanas at Union up the hill! Stairs. Haha this is Lisbon! And there was an elevator :)

The care taker tried to fix it, but said it was “normal.” We could either sleep with a reoccurring loud noise, or without air conditioning. It got HOT at night!

• Karen (10/5): Beautifully decorated, comfortable stay in the middle of Lisbon. - The apartment was very conveniently located in the city centre which made everything we wanted to do very accessible. The apartment was beautifully decorated and full of light with high ceilings and had huge wooden shutters which covered the windows at night. The area was quiet considering how centrally positioned it was and we were not disturbed by other guests in adjacent apartments. The lift was a massuve bonus too after a long day walking around sightseeing. Communication with the property owners was great - we were met on arrival and shown around the apartment and given some tips on exploring Lisbon which was such a nice welcome. The hosts were very helpful and accomodated our special request which was much appreciated. Thoroughly recommend a stay here. The third bedroom was small and had no wardrobes.

• Meg (10/5): Fantastic, rustic, everything you will need for a stay in Lisbon! - Bernardo was incredible, he made us feel so welcome and provided us with a vast amount of information about the different experiences in Lisbon. The location was fantastic, central or a short walk/ taxi rides to iconic areas. They were very flexible with us as well! The apartment was perfect for our friends group we had the best time and I would highly recommend the appartment, owners and Bernardo! Nothing all was great!
• Catherine (6/5): Good location, but don’t assume basics like having a window in your room. - Location great, Susanah v nice, well equipped kitchen & good shower. The single ‘bedroom’ didn’t have any windows or natural ventilation- it can hardly be called a bedroom, rather a large cupboard. Some of the beds you could feel the springs, so not overly comfortable. The lift stopped between floors, so not great for my 90 year old Mum along with no handrails to some of the staircase.

• Phillip (10/5): The perfect spot for your stay in Lisbon - Magdalena a City Center apartment was perfect for our group of 3. it is beautifully appointed with all the features you could want. Airconditioned, a lift, very clean and fully setup to self cater if you want. It is in a great location right in the city centre and only 400 metres from the start of the 28 Tram. Bernardo, Alexandra and Vascoe were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. They provide excellent information and some great recommendations for restaurants Nothing

The beds were very comfortable and it was a bonus to have lovely toiletries in the bathrooms. We enjoyed the bottle of wine left for us in the fridge. We didn’t receive replies to texts and emails after arriving albeit nothing important, just a query and nothing to do with the apartment. There was a rather heavy footed person in the apartment above us but this did not spoil our stay.

• Olegrysk (10/5): We are very glad that for our first visit to Portugal, we choose "Madalena city center" apartment - An amazing, atmospheric apartment in a very old but renovated building, in some places fragments of the original building was carefully preserved during renovation, but all the amenities are modern and of high quality. 2 bathrooms with toilets and a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioners everywhere, but the temperature in the apartment is comfortable even without them, even in hot weather. Excellent location close to many attractions, transport services, and shops. Communication with owner Vasco and manager Bernardo is almost instantaneous and informative. Special thanks to Bernardo, we had force majeure (our fault), but he saved us and delivered us to the airport on time. We highly recommend the apartments and these wonderful people. Bernardo, thanks a lot again. All was alright
• Kam (10/5): Very Nice 3 bedroom apartment and close to everything - the apartment is super center of the old town, very easy to get most of sites, the apartments is very clean and have most of the stuffs you need. the host was very friendly the wifi in the bedrooms were very poor, recommend to add wifi extension so guests can use wifi in the bedroom as well
• Kevin (10/5): Really nice. Would recommend staying. Excellent Location - Miguel met us at the apartment to give us the the keys and run through what we needed to know. The Apartment is really nice and in a very good location for getting round the old town and making your way to the river. There is a small supermarket across the road which had all the essentials we needed. There were 4 of us staying for a sporting even and there was more than enough space for the 4 of us. The bathrooms were well stocked. Nothing, It was all really nice.

• Shankar (9/5): Nice place, great location - Tastefully furnished and cosy ambiance. Well equipped kitchen. Location is quite central to amenities and restaurants. Wooden floors have some drawbacks, we had a noisy neighbour upstairs hence noise was quite loud especially if you have some people who tends to stomp on the floor. One night, woken up at 3am as they were packing their stuff!

We will be coming back and telling our friends and family to! The kitchen could have been better equipped, it's not really equipped for family cooking but we got by.
