- Asif (4/5): - The bed was very big and wide.
Washroom was equipped with Muslim shower. Very old. Room's door was broken. Most of doors do not have handels. Main entrance door's lock was problematic
- Bobby (10/5): What a great place ! Great price !! - Zen Hostel was a great experience . Great Location! The staff were very friendly and they helped me navigate the area and experience Toronto .
- DUY (2/5): Good Location But Disappointing Condition - Location is very good. The condition of the hostel is disappointing …I am not a picky traveler but everything looks dark and old and sketchy. My friends and I left to another hotel. I honestly didn’t expect much because it was the cheapest option in Toronto but if I compared this place to any $20ish hostel in Montreal, this place has a lot to learn from and change.
They have good location to their advantage, if they can manage to do some innovations, e.g. improve the lightings, add some decorations, new painting, make the place look more clean and welcoming, they will be successful.

- Jamal (4/5): - Price Bedbugs
- Jean-Felix (1/5): - Ce n'est pas un hotel, c'est un appartement. Il y avait une odeur de cigarrette et personne ma répondu a l'arrivé
- Yaqua (1/5): Extremely bad is an understatement - Nothing, extremely dissapointed Very dirty and and unhygienic, the images are fake! Most likely generated by AI, it did not look like that at all when I got there, if you are from Europe, hostels of this standard would be illegal, please avoid, you will thank me, luckily a hotel nearby had one available room and I booked that immediately and evacuated. No offence, it looked like an homeless shelter
- Manuel (6/5): Not that bad - Good location No elevator
- Sajid (5/5): - Location No need to kitchen , should b bathroom
- Iram (1/5): Didn’t even enter and stayed there - Didn’t even checked in. Pathetic hostel Nothing
- Larry Cater (1/5): BAAAAAAADDDD - Nothing Bedbugs
Rats
Mice
This place should not be in business
- Larry Cater (1/5): Both mice and rats at night. - Nothing... Both mice and rats late night.. smoke alarms constantly going off. Wiring issues throughout the kitchen. Shower had large hole covered by garbage bags

- Michael (3/5): Okay for 1 nite - that’s the most I can handle ! Owner needs to spend some $$ on renovation of kitchen and bathroom! - Great Location! Owner needs to spend $$ on renovation! Need to get those lazy long term occupants renovating the Dorms ! Bed Bug Attack !
- Samuel Jagre (9/5): I like the place. - It was nice Everything is fine
- Corbeau (1/5): - Honestly, everything. In the worst way possible, its a men's college dorm room.
- Rostyslav (3/5): infected place by cockroaches and bed bugs - cheap price and Good locality Cockroaches and bedbugs are still thriving there even after everyday cleaning, now I tried to prevent them From passing to my home and I clean everything after this "hostel"
- tadegegn (1/5): - Worst service ever ,,,,,cheap mentality……its better to stay a night at the street than this !!!
- Maximiliano (1/5): Uneasy and disappointed, Didnt move somewhere else because I stayed for a short while. - The room I rented was a 4 person bedroom, it’s actually a room for 8, due to the cramming of people it’s also terribly hot ar night which is why a lot of people use electric fans so the power outlets have a lot of cables and adaptors which make the room a fire hazard, I saw a cockroach walking in the entrance, despite the no smoking allowed mentioned they some “outside” which is in an ally where all the smoke end up back inside because they don’t close the door to the flat. Further more the space of the apartment is not good for 8 people the room is too small. Also this establishment usually say they have lockers, in reality it’s just a shoe box size locker that barely fits a backpack and there aren’t enough for everyone

- Jamie - Solo Travel (1/5): Only as a last resort - I appreciated being allowed to store my bag earlier in the day before check in The property looked very different in real life than the photos on the listing — crowded rooms with 6–8 beds, around 5–6 rooms in each unit, and only one shared washroom for all guests. Everything seemed worn or broken. As a solo female traveller, I didn’t feel safe in the environment. The manager was polite at first and acknowledged the photos didn’t match, suggesting I cancel, but later became rude (over chat) when I followed up. I appreciated being allowed to store my bag earlier in the day, but I only received a $6 refund from a $150 booking.
- Turo (7/5): A decent option for a one night stay. - Late check-in worked well. The bathroom had seen better days.
- Leo (4/5): Close to dt but amentities need a lot improvement - Close approximative to downtown People sleep too late, and use the lighter indoor. constantly walking in and out of the room, the floor and door hinge need some repair, squeaky sound is too loud
- Vincent Lobo (6/5): Excellent staff and cleaning crew excellent location and value - Staff excellent! Cleaning staff excellent! Location on danforth bustling, many shops, stores, bars, halls, restaurants and metro all easily accessible
Very affordable hub for solo traveller as long as one does treat as a hotel! 1) Lockers were accesible in only one guest room, thusly had to enter into someone elses room at any point of day. Consciousness guests arent issue. Suggestion: centralize lockers to common area; 2) both guest rooms need their own keys as found guests from other room; 3) the one and only big tv should be in common room for all doesnt make any logistical sense to have a person in double bunkbed room to monopolize
- Viran (6/5): Affordable and comfortable - Easy access, clean and comfortable One person of the stuff was a bit rude.
