- Andrew (8/5): A perfect base for adventure. - Great location and views. We really enjoyed our 4 day stay and this was a great base to discover the surroundings. It has a laid back vibe and is sort of shabby chic, which suited us fine. The staff were happy and friendly. We abandoned our car for the duration and used Uber to get around which were very reasonable in our opinion. We felt very safe there. There is no on site parking, but there are no parking restrictions on the road outside. I do think 'hotel' is stretching it a bit, as amenities are limited, but we loved it all the same and would return.

Rooms are big, very comfortable, clean and the house has a great sense of decor that is very colourful. The breakfast was amazing. Way too much for 1 person to eat alone. We had a great morning on the net outside, just looking at the view and having a great chat. Would definitely recommend them to anyone traveling to that area. The shower was amazing. I would love to have learned a bit more about the old house and its origin. Had to park our car outside. But Batsi assured us it was safe.

- KayElle (8/5): Lovely apartment in vibrant Bo-Kaap. - Batsi allowed me an early check-in and met me upon arrival, explaining everything to me nicely. He even got me chocolates to celebrate my accomplishments. The apartment was lovely and had all the necessities. Loved the private garden in front. And the breakfast area. Great location to explore Bo-kaap and Signal Hill. Great views too. I enjoyed the sauna and the decor. The pool was smaller than it looks in the pictures and can't really be used to swim, but nice for a refreshing dip. However, this was one of the reasons I chose this place, so was slightly disappointed. I did manage to use Baths on Long street, which was a great alternative. Guests woke me up one night abruptly, banging on the window, and requesting the WiFi password. Perhaps a sign to let them know which areas are off-limits would be useful and clearer instructions on where to find the WiFi password.

The location is perfect, during the day you can walk or an uber for 3 dollars to Kloof street. The breakfast was good, the stuff super nice .

Das geräumige und gut geschnittene Zimmer bot einen hohen Komfort. Ein bequemes Bett und ein flauschiger Bademantel trugen zum Wohlbefinden bei. Auch das Badezimmer erfüllte die Erwartungen, insbesondere der starke Wasserdruck in der Dusche. Die Unterkunft besticht durch ihre gute Lage: zentral und dennoch ruhig. Das Frühstück zeichnete sich durch eine große Vielfalt an angebotenen Speisen aus. Neben frischem Obst, Toast, Eiern und Croissants wurde auch besonderer Wert auf eine liebevolle Zubereitung gelegt. Kleine Wermutstropfen gab es dennoch. Das Türschloss war sehr tief angebracht, sodass man sich jedes Mal unangenehm bücken musste – nichts für empfindliche Rücken. Und obwohl das Zimmer selbst ruhig war, hörte man direkt neben der Zimmertür deutlich, wenn andere Gäste kamen und gingen.

The decor was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, great coffee machine in the room, amazing staff, easy check-in. I cannot fault anything! The hotel is also within easy walking distance of nice restaurants, and iconic streets like Long Street and Kloof Street. The breakfast was massive and had a diverse selection!

The young woman who served it was warm and friendly and very efficient. Bed and warmth of the room was lovely. Great products in the bathroom. Wonderfully hot shower. Bottles of water provided, robe and warm blanket - everything was very comfortable. The only thing I would have liked in my room was a table and chair, or a chair to sit in. As I mentioned, it would have been good to have a chair and table, or just a chair in the room. It was possible to use the communal room for working on a table, which I did for a short time.

- Caroline (4/5): I found the stay disappointing compared to my expectations - I liked the location of the hotel and I liked the way it looked from the outside I had to check out early, and there was absolutely no attempt made to suggest that breakfast could be early, or to offer any reduction on price as I wasn't able to eat the breakfast. Also, the room was poorly laid out in terms of not having *anywhere* for me to eat dinner, and there was no food available on premises, I had to make alternative arrangements. All in all, I didn't think it lived up to the luxury boutique advertising.

- Julia (9/5): Superb - Beautiful and tranquil hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable and bathroom so nicely renovated. Batsi was very helpful and friendly. Centrally located. Would definitely recommend!
